I went to Dairy Queen 1465 E. Venice Ave. Venice FL 34292 at 10:09 pm Wednesday 2/22/23. I drove thru and ordered a small hot fudge sundae for $3.85. The change I received was short $10. I would like a refund.
I was reluctant to tender a $20 because it was a small purchase.
The cashier gave me the sundae and I gave her my $20 that was folded
in quarters. It was my only bill from a Wells Fargo ATM a block away. She unfolded it and gave me $6.15 in change. I told her the bill I gave her was a $20, not a $10. She asked me if she should balance the cash drawer and I said yes. She reported that she did it twice and said it balanced. I asked to speak to the manager. The cashier kept the receipt.
The manager said he understood the situation but when the cash drawer balanced, there was nothing I could do other than to file a complaint at corporate headquarters. He refused to refund my missing $10. He said there are cameras by the cashier for investigations. I live nearby and visit often. I am very disappointed that I was shorted $10. I would like a refund.
Desired outcome: I would like a $10 refund.
