Our beloved cat, Gizmo, was taken to Blue Pearl Pet Hospital in Naples and sadly passed away. We arranged a private cremation and trusted them with our precious family member. Several days after retrieving our cat's urn, we were shocked to learn we were given the WRONG remains. We then had to endure severe emotional distress in returning what we thought was our cat to retrieve other remains. We are so distressed and concerned about their "tracking" process during my cat's cremation. How any professional pet hospital could allow this to happen is shocking. To this day, we are still unsure what transpired and whether the remains we now have are even legitimately our cat. Instead of honoring our loved one's journey with dignity and reliability, we had additional pain and suffering as a result of their negligence. The practices in place at this Blue Pearl Pet Hospital are totally unacceptable, lack empathy and we have requested a full refund of monies paid to this facility.
Desired outcome: We have suffered & will continue to suffer physical injury, shock, outrage, extreme anxiety, worry, severe emotional distress w/pain & suffering as a result of their negligence. We have requested a refund of $599.65 paid to this facility.
I am sad to learn of many more incidents with Blue Pearl vets. All you have to do is go to BluePearlVetHorrorStories.com for reviews. Another family had a similar experience when Blue Pearl Vets LOST their dog's cremated remains. There is a petition online with this woman's story (she never got her dog back...I can't imagine the horror).
