I agreed to pay $99.99 + tax for a wheel alignment equals $106.49. She, the sales associate, was charging me $116.49. I told her the alignment plus tax equals $106.49. She then tells me there's a $10.00 shop fee that has to be added, which can't be removed because of state law. I asked that the shop be removed from the bill for me to proceed with the alignment. I didn't find a state law that states "a shop fee must be added". What does a shop fee consist for a wheel alignment? No shims are involved in the alignment. Are you aware of this law?

Why would an associate lose a repair job for an unnecessary $10.00 fee? What if the repair was $2000.00 and it was lost because of a $10.00 shop fee?
