Marshalls

I was at the Marshals in Hartford CT this evening. Store was pretty empty no line, so I proceeded to casher #1 who had his light on. Upon arrival, cashier Alex said “Nah go to 7 he can help you over there” I proceed back to cashier 7. Andrew on the other hand was helpful and cashed me out wishing me a good night. Upon leaving the store I was curious to ask “Alex” the reason he couldn’t cash me out and sent me all the way back to the last register. He simply replied “I’m busy doing shirts as you can see” I replied with this is great customer service while shaking my head. His response “it’s awesome isn’t it I love it! Not only was he rude and not willing to help me, the with the smirk and body language makes me wanna drive a town over and never visit this marshals again. I was under the impression that if the cashier has their light on they are open and ready for the customer. I have also called the store to file a complaint.
