I was returning a Ralph Lauren Mens sweater with all the tags on it today at Marshall's Newtown Rd Danbury, Ct. without a receipt for a store credit.
The cashier asked for my I.D. which I provided and processed the return. He handed me my gift card for the return and said: "When using
this card you will be asked for your ID" and showed me that he had written my name on the card. I explained that the return was a gift that I had purchased and I would need to give the card back to the recipient. I just need a card that the recipient can use. He says, nope can't do that. Sorry
nothing I can do. I said this isn't right you need to undo what you did and fix this. So he proceeds to do something but to my surprise he finishes and puts the sweater back in the bag I had it in and hands it back to me and says have a nice day! OMG! Is this really happening right now!
I ask for a manager. She comes and says nothing I can do, this is the store policy. I told her I wasn't leaving until she gave me a credit without my name on it. So she proceeded to show the cashier what to do and was visibly annoyed with me, it was a scene from either a comedy or a horror show.
He actually gave me cash back. I went straight to CVS and purchased an Amex gift card instead of purchasing Marshall's gift card.
If this is in fact Marshall's policy you should definitely consider re thinking it. It upset my entire day.
Sincerely,
Jenine Marino

Marshalls - tommy hilfiger
Purchased 4 tommy hilfiger sport vests, blue, white, red, plaid. When trying them on in my home, found i had many reactions, very toxic, looked at the label, made in viet nam. Really. These products being returned asap. Products coming from these countries, china, india, guatemala, philippines, products being transported from very far distances to my usa, very toxic. Many products recalled manufactured within these countries, look at the law suits, recalls. An attempt at cheap labor, maybe chemical warfare, anything goes these days.
