I find I must continuously deal with overpricing. On June 6, 2025, I went into your store on Lemon in Walnut to shop. When I checked out, I looked at my receipt and found that I had been overcharged for three items: strawberries were $1.79, charged $3.50; muffins on sale for $4.50, charged $5.00; Klondike Bars on sale for $2.99, charged $4.99. I went to the Vons located in walnut to purchase four bags of cherry which is $3.99 per pound. When I paid, it comes with $5.99 Per pound. I asked cashier Edgar why the price is different and he was really rude and said he asked me about apply the Vons card, but he has never told me about the price different. I totally understand there is price different between the Vons member and the regular customer. I am upset about the cashier's attitude, it seems like he does not treat me like customer.
Vons - Deli
I was in the store last night (3/2/2020) at around 6:40 pm specifically to go to the deli. When I first walked up, there were two ladies talking in the back area so I waited for them to come to the front. I did see that the salad display section was covered and there were a few chicken pieces in the case but I figured it was too early for the deli to be closed. A young man (employee) came up to talk with one of the girls so I waited and then the girl finally turned to me to tell me that they were closed. I left the store to Stater Bros up the way to get food from their deli. Their deli closes at 10. Anyway, I called Vons this morning to find out the deli hours. I was told that it depends on the employee schedule. For example, today the person is scheduled until 10:00 p.m. so the deli will close at 7:00 p.m. This is very disappointing that Vons does not have a consistent schedule for those of us that run in to grab dinner. Why bother to run in when the deli is closed. Might as well just drive straight to Stater Bros and not waste time. Best business practice would be to have a consistent schedule for the deli and if it needed to be closed for an emergency situation, then there should be signs posted that they are closed for this reason.
