Walgreens - service / employee attitudes

My God! This place is a Joke! I actually lost my mind and decided that I would change pharmacies from Safeway (The Best) which is 7 miles from my home, to the Walgreens (Horrible) which is 2 blocks from my house. What a stupide decision that was!

I have been there probably 8 times in the last 2 months. The last 4 times have been excrutiatingly painful! The employees have seemed to forgotten the age old saying that "The Customer is Always Right!"

I looked on line for a bathroom scale. I found that Walgeens down the street had them. I called and spoke to a customer service lady that put me on hold for 5 mins to check her inventory. Finally, she came back and answered the phone with she thinks she has them but that I should just come in. What? So, with that I got in my car and drove down there. Upon entering the store, I was unable to get anyone to help me. After looking around, I was unable to find one. Finally this woman walked towards me and completely ignored me. I said, excuse me? She loks at me, I asked if she had bathroom scales? She looks at me and with an attitude tells me she doesn't know and that she is on break. Now, I'm pissed. I asked her what being on break had to do with whether or not the store she works for and where I pay her salary has to do with having the item I am searching for? She suddenly gets all offended. I told her that if she worked for me, she'd be fired and left.
Having not learned my lesson and being a gluttant for punishment, I went back to pick up my meds. I get there and there is literally 20 people inline damn near out the door for the pharmacy. I stand there thinking they will get through them quickly. Not to be. Next thing I hear is the pharmacist literally yelling at a customer who dare say anything about the wait. Now obviously, that is not their fault, but the attitude was embarrassing.
Then, I go again to get my meds. The woman at the pharmacy counter had absolutely no business running a register. She couldn't seem to figure it out. After 15 mins, I told her I would come back and left.
Then just yesterday, I went to the pharmacy again. No lines, I got a text telling me my prescriptions were filled and ready. I went for it. Wrong! My prescription was NOT ready and when tried to ask the woman behind the counter, her voice was so low, I could not understand a word she was saying. Then she kept interrupting me with her idea of what I wanted to say. This woman was so rude, I finally just told her that I would come back when a different staff was on!
I am so tired of these retail establishments taking advantage of it's customers. Why do they continue to do it? Oh, that's easy to answer. We continue to let them! The public needs to stand up to these A-Holes and boycott these stores who do not take customer service as important and job one!
Never, ever again will I use a Walgreens.
