Terrible Terrible! It really amazes me how the Y runs things. All they care about is saving money, but when you have 85 children per program and several schools you are responsible for you really need more than 2 subs on call. As an former employee i'm extremely disappointed and do not recommend the Y for anything or anyone. Most of the staff are freshly out of high school and have no experience or proper training. As someone that actually took their job seriously and went to college for child development it was a very difficult place to work for. There were many times i'd ask for help and guidance and was told just try your best you'll figure it out or i'm too tired to help you its Monday. Point is without going into too many details i do NOT recommend the Y and not just here in the area but surrounding areas i have not heard anything good at all from the Y. If you are a parent that is somehow associated with the Y just take into consideration that in some cases we were told "Let's just hope we don't get caught" would you really trust them with your children think about it.
