My name is George Aherne on the morning of 03-03-23 at 801 (per receipt) I had finished checking out/paying $76.46 was leaving Safeway at 4950 Mission St. San Francisco when a security guard standing in front of the exit door grabbed me - actually grabbed me -never was there a question of receipt which i had in my hand - The lady clerk just stood there -I left to calm down waited and went back in to retrieve a cart that had cases of water on it that my brother having two carts had left - i was about to ask the name of clerk and guard but the clerk requested i leave -the guard seemed threatening actually menacing I figured it was all on camera anyway so i left-
My Safeway Club Card # & phone is [protected] - please look at my transaction history and you'll see the money spent over many years as a loyal customer
There was no reason for any of this to happen / no explanation was given for this behavior- I'm a 60 year old man who works in the Security Field and know a line had been crossed with guard's behavior and clerk's compliance- I am worried this isn't an isolated incident
Desired outcome: know company guard works for also his and clerks name for I feel unsafe returning - also I'd like information on viewing and having copy made of surveillance video -An explanation & apology for this uncalled for behavior is requested
Safeway - pharmacy manager sean allman
I am a senior citizen who due to finances and infirmities can't change easily pharmacies. So I'm stuck with the dysfunctional operation at the described Safeway. As Ive already been victimized by the pharmacy manager I'd like to remain anonymous at present. However if I can receive assurances that my complaint will not result in retaliation on the part of Safeway or any of it's representatives? I would certainly give you my full name. In addition I am switching iver to another Safeway pharmacy. It's way across town and a great burden for me to travel there. Never the less at least that other staff has always been cordial. That and filled my scripts on time. It remains important to me to maintain my business relationship with Safeway. Just so long as I don't have to deal with Mr Sean Allman. Even if I must take a very long trip across town and at my own expense in order to have my prescriptions filled by a dependable staff.
For well over five years the manager at 4950 Mission St San Francisco, CA has consistently failed to provide my prescription medicines in a timely manner. Month after month, year after year the fellow has given me excuse after excuse for his failure to fill my necessary medicines on time.
These medicines include some that affect my well being and mood greatly. Despite my comments and complaints the man has consistently only provided excuses for his lateness at delivering my goods. He's always full of excuses but there's more.
I ought to add that Sean Allman's reputation across the industry is well known to be poor. Without even asking them other pharmacy managers have on numerous occasions described to me in no uncertain terms how much they dislike Mr Allman. Just as an example back a couple years ago I became so upset and in fact ill due to Allman's failure to provide my medicines that I changed over to the Safeway pharmacy way over across town where they have a more honorable manager and staff. Yet during the process of finding a new pharmacy I spoke to no less than three (3!) competing pharmacies of different companies but who none the less were still acquainted with the 4950 Mission St pharmacy. And in at least three of these cases the manager of this (competing) pharmacy declared to me in emphatic, angry tone the words
"Oh you don't have to deal with that Sean Allman do you"?
I'm not kidding nor exaggerating! Those were the words offered UNSOLICITED by no less than three different managers. A couple from a pair of Walgreens staffers and one from CVS. I had not mentioned my past and ongoing problems with Sean Allman yet in these very three cases the described pharmacy personnel were more than well acquainted with Mr Allman's nasty, petty, vindictive and in many other ways inexcusable behavior as manager of the described Safeway pharmacy. In fact I suggest to you, that your offices inquire at other local San Francisco pharmacies. Soeak to their managers. I'm utterly 1p0 percent confident that these local managers will not only have heard of Mr Allman but will emphatically agree with my own opinion of his services. Hint: I'm not pulling this out of my butt. The negative reputation of Mr Allman has already long ago spread far and wide. Is this the kind of person whom you want representing Safeway Inc?
Yes I have complained. Vehemently at times and it absolutely PAINS me to feel the need to get upset at Mr Allman or his staff. However I have done EVERYTHING I CAN AND MORE to help the staff fill my orders. Often going as far as checking their stock several days in advance before bringing in my prescription. In order to let the staff know that I'll be coming in shortly. I really shouldn't need to do this as the staff has heard my comments many times. One of a number of these times I received assurances that my script could be filled. That they had my selection in stock. So I submitted my prescription directly to them with their sincere promise that my script would be filled on the date indicated on my MDs order.
Yet it was not to be. Despite my not even returning to the Safeway at Mission & Onondaga for three days after they had promised to fill my order? I'll be damned but they hadn't even acted upon it. Of course I was furious. You see I can not stockpile some of my medicines so when I'm out I'm REALLY out! My blood pressure can go through tbe roof and YET MR ALLMAN ALWAYS BLAMES ME! He recently going so far as to complain to my own MD.
My friends this has now almost become an ACTIONABLE matter. Sean Allman simply can't find the time to research my meds nor communicate with my doctor's office (to assure a prompt delivery of my medications). Yet he does have the time to harass me by blaming me AT MY OWN DOCTOR'S OFFICE! In turn he has tried to put my reputation with my medical provider in jeopardy.
This fellow is a very poor choice to represent your company. I highly suggest that he be replaced. One thing I forgot to mention is that the man is not a problem solver but a PROBLEM CREATOR. I will leave you with one last sad experience.
About five years ago I came up 37 cents short on my prescription for a blood thinner. That's all! Just thirty seven cents. Mr Allman would not release ANY of my life saving meds. Nor would he subdivide the pills into a smaller amount I could afford. I've since then found a plan that pays more of the costs. However I'll never forget how this petty minded monster Sean Allman put my life at risk by denying my life saving meds due to my owing him chump change.
Today now that I'm situated better I do not suffer for funds related to my prescription medications. And yet had I observed another senior or anyone else needing such a small amount of money? I would immediately help them out of my own pocket. As this is the Christian and proper thing to do. A form of morality obviously long absent from Mr Sean Allman. That and apparently a fact well known to the Bay Area's pharmacies. All except apparently for Safeway Inc. In short?
Fire Mr Allman immediately. Before one of your senior customers has a heart attack and dies as the result of Mr Allman's actions or inactions.
Safeway - exit
i was attached today by a guard that accused me of stealing as i tried to exit the store. she started grabbing at my grocery bags. had no idea who she was or what she was doing. she just started grabbing my bags of groceries. i pulled my arms back so she couldn't take them from me. then she stepped in my path so i couldn't exit. st this point she still hadn't spoken. i thought she was s crazy person. then she started grabbing my bags again. since she hadn't said anything i went ahead and asked why she was blocking my path. then she said "you pay". so i said i did pay and left. got about two yards out the store and got upset. came back in the store not more than 10-15 seconds later and she was already gone. i'm very upset. this woman attacked me, tried to take my two bags full of groceries and never once explained word one what her intentions were of why she had such intentions. she never did identify herself. i thought she was homeless at first. but now i think she was practicing hate cause she difn't stop anyone else, she didn't try to take anyone else's groceries, she didn't try to block anyone else's exit. i am extremely upset. she has been inadequately trained, is over zealous, or just plain hateful. or all three.
