US Bank

On 12/26/2015 I walked into US Bank 5555 Balboa Avenue San Diego, CA 92111 at around noon . I asked to deposit a $869.00 check into my savings account, my savings account had enough money in there to cover the check by the way. The check was from Chase and it had my name and my boyfriends name on it, we had refinance are house and they check was the money due back to us. It said both are name with the wording "And". They would not let me deposit the check into my savings because my boyfriend did not have a account there. Even though we were both standing there with Identification. If I cant deposit money into my own account with US Bank what are they good for. Please help me understand this policy, I would love to see this policy in writing.
