On October 23, 2015 I visited the Long John Silvers in Fairfield, California. I have been going to this location for over 10 years. As I approached the counter, there was a new cashier who seemed to know everything. I asked him for extra hush puppies instead of fries on my combo meal. He said it would be an extra charge for the hush puppies. I explained to him that I order the same thing every week and they happily exchange the hush puppies for the fries. He did not believe me, so he had to ask another employee who verified that he could do this. I also ordered some clams. After paying, I asked him for my receipt. He stated that I would receive it when my order came up I explained that for 10 years they always have given a receipt so the customer could verify the correctness of the order, and have the receipt for their record. He did not comply, but he seemed irritated, and never said thank you. I also ordered a crab cake separate. No receipts were given. Upon receiving my order, no receipts were given, and they forgot the crab cake. I had to ask for a receipt. After sitting down to eat, I began eating my clams. As I was reaching the bottom of the clam box, I found a strand of straight hair two inches long. I went to the counter to courteously let an employee know. Her response was that it was a piece of cardboard from the box. I responded that it was in deed hair. She simply took the box and threw it away. I could not believe her response and lack of concern or accountability, so I approached the counter and asked for the manager. The manager was very apologetic and refunded the cost of the product.
