SwimOutlet

SwimOutlet.com promises to price match lower prices offered by competitors. They proclaim this boldly at the top of their website. I was interested in purchasing a Dolfin brand swimsuit in either navy/royal or black/gray. I had no preference. My plan was to purchase one to start, and if I liked it, purchase a second in the other color. SwimOutlet.com was offering the suit for $60 plus dollars advertising this as a highly discounted price. I found the same suit on the Swim2000 website for $51. plus change. Both companies had the suit for sale in my size, it was just that SwimOutlet.com had the navy version, and Swim2000 had the black version. I was refused the promised "price match" because, as the company spokesperson I spoke with stated that "the inventory has to be the same." Now seriously, how often are two companies going to have the exact same inventory? So they advertise promises they have little intention of keeping, just to get a customer to pick their company over many other available companies. Doing a search on-line I am seeing similar complaints about false promises this company makes on their website regarding shipping costs and times and returns.
