Universal Screen Arts I placed a large order from ShopPBS Jan 2021

I placed a large order from ShopPBS Jan 2021. The blue lamp ($163.66) arrived; the pink lamp ($163.66) did not arrive. Eventually I returned the blue lamp as I wanted two. Near the same day, I saw an unfamiliar charge on my card for $188, which I had not authorized, so I initiated a chargeback from the bank. A few days later a shipper brought a box marked "Lamp" - realized that it was the late pink lamp, refused delivery. It was returned to ShopPBS. No refund arrived for the BLUE lamp for many weeks; had several phone calls with ShopPBS and wasted hours. Gave the shipping confirmation #, blue lamp arrived ShopPBS June 3. After escalating to a Supervisor, ONE refund for BLUE lamp finally arrived back on my card. However, in the bank's chargeback paperwork for the PINK lamp, ShopPBS claimed that my blue lamp $163 refund was for the PINK lamp. This was fraudulent, but it resulted in the bank withdrawing their credit for the pink lamp. ShopPBS needs to resolve this; it has been 2 months!

I placed a phone order with this business in May . Several months later, my daughter noticed a recurring charge on my credit card when she was helping me with finances. The charge was a monthly charge for a 'Support Plus VIP membership' I never agreed to enroll in. My daughter has since checked online, and this fraudulent VIP charge appears to be a common complaint against this business. It appears that Support Plus targets and preys upon seniors.

A Trial membership of Support Plus VIP Membership was offered with an order. It could be cancelled in 30 days and a rebate of $11.99 would be mailed to the Member.
Order was placed 01-10-2022 and cancelled on 01-19-2022. Acknowledgement Attached. The employee who acknowledged my phone call and emailed me did, not enter the cancellation into the computer or give me a rebate number. This error did not advise me to send proper paperwork to receive my rebate of $11.92. or any corresponding number to receive a rebate. A cancellation is all that was processed.

Universal Screen Arts I am a longtime customer of Daedalus Books

I am a longtime customer of Daedalus Books. I have ordered from them for years. Today, while I was reviewing my bank statement, I saw a charge for 14.95 to Daeadalus Books that I had not authorized. I immediately called their number, [protected]. I eventually spoke with a very uninterested representative who told me that was the charge for Daedalus Books VIP Insider program. I told him I never signed up for that. The representative insisted I must have "accidentally clicked" on it. Then the representative hung up on me. I had to call back two more times before I got a woman who (reluctantly) agreed to return my money. She also accused me of yelling at her and didn't seem to think the company did anything wrong. I am not so clumsy on a computer that I sign up unintentionally for things I don't want. I think Daedalus Books deliberately signed me up for this. I am also appalled that they would treat a long time customer like this. I really thought they were a great company. I am so disappointed.

On September 11, I made a purchase of some books for my mother from Daedalus Books, which is now owned by Universal Screen Arts, Inc. I do not remember agreeing to a monthly charge of $14.95, yet that is exactly what has been happening, and I only recently became aware of it. It seems this fee was not made clear, as I've discovered 105 other complaints about this issue on Complaintsboard.com. I am seeking a full refund for the 15 months that I have been billed for this fee. When I attempted to log into my Daedalus account to retrieve my account number, I was unable to find any such information. The account is registered under my name, with my specific email address and phone number.

I purchased a BluRay disc for $31.49. No prepaid return label was included. The disc is defective. The voice track is missing from the program. It plays properly for previews and advertisements; however, the main feature only has a music and sound effect track with no dialogue. I contacted the seller who sent a replacement and requested that I return the defective disc. The second disc has the same issue. I have repeatedly requested prepaid return address labels (documentation can be provided upon request), but they have not been sent. The company refuses to refund the purchase price because I have not returned the defective merchandise, yet I am unable to do so without the return label they have failed to provide. This issue has been ongoing since August 27. I have been in contact via email and phone calls to their toll-free number multiple times. The company consistently promises to send a label, but fails to follow through. I am seeking assistance to resolve this matter.

On 11/29 I purchased a Christmas gift from Acorn TV on-line gift store for $29.06. I recieved the item quickly and withour issue. Tody (12/8) my credit card was charged $14.95 by USA*acornvipinsider which I believe is for some sort of membership associated with Acorn TV. I did not open an account or agree to any type of membership. I am looking to have this account canceled and my credit card refunded the unauthorized $14.95. I have contacted this company but have not recieved a reply yet. Thank you

I ordered twice from a catalog called Signals, once in May and once in July. (I have no complaints about the product.) Then I noticed a charge last month on my Visa from for "USA*SIGNALSVIPINSIDER ***". for $14.95. (This charge has probably appeared since at least July or August, but I only noticed last month.) I called and they said when I ordered online I checked a box to join the "VIP" program. I said I did not believe I did this, but in any event I did not want to be part of the program. The gentleman said he would cancel the monthly fee. Now the charge is on my VISA again and when I called the number the lady said it was never cancelled. I want this charge to stop and a refund of what has been paid. I would add that the catalog has nice merchandise, but I won't order from them because of this fraudulent charge.

Universal Screen Arts I ordered items on 11/11

I ordered items on 11/11. I paid $13.99 for shipping. The company did not provide me the correct tracking number. I spent three days trying to obtain a correct tracking number. They use Fed Ex to deliver their items. As of today, 11/20, I have not received my item. I never received an emails from Signals.com as to an estimated arrival date, but with shipping being $13.99, which is more than most company's shipping from Europe, I thought it would be quicker. I can get items from across the country from Etsy in a few days. There was an issue today in delivering the items, as Fed Ex said there was a problem. The Fed Ex was located an hour from where we live. The company said they have ZERO responsibility in delivering the item and it's my problem to work out the delivery even though I paid $13.99. This IS their business. Fed Ex said it was coming "economy," even though I paid $13.99 for a stuffed animals and bracelet, which leads me to believe Signals.com is committing some kind of fraud.

I have complaints against two agencies; What on Earth, to which I sent a check for $227.69 that cleared on April 27th, and a check for the sum of $206.81 to Shop PBS. Both payments were sent to the same address at Hudson Industrial Parkway, PO Box 2599, Hudson, Ohio [protected], with the contact phone number being [protected]. Tarting in September , a charge appeared on my VISA statements from SIGNALSVIP. I only noticed this recently because the credit card bills are generally paid quickly, electronically. The initial charge was $18.69, subsequently the charge was $1495 every month. I do not remember ever having willfully joined this discount-on-shopping system. I strongly suspect there was a a pre-checked box on some site where I placed an order that enrolled me in this scam. I never opened an account with SIGNALSVIP. If I calculate properly I have been billed for or duped out of $213.04. However, I think this outfit should refund that amount as my membership must have been some form of trickery or entrapment. I have sent them three cancellation requests over the past 24 hours. It was necessary to open an account to do so.

Universal Screen Arts On December 2, my spouse bought a bathrobe from Signals online and used our shared account

On December 2, my spouse bought a bathrobe from the Signals online catalogue and used our shared account for payment. I recently discovered a recurring charge of $14.95 from Signals VIP on our account, occurring monthly since January 1. This was without our consent. After contacting Signals VIP to cancel and request a refund, they agreed to refund the latest charge but not the previous ones. Complaints on Complaintsboard.com suggest that enrollment requires email opt-in, but my spouse may have misunderstood this as a purchase step, using an inactive email. We never knowingly subscribe to recurring services. I regret not spotting this sooner, but we did not intentionally enroll in this program.

I placed a big order with PBS (unfortunately) and when they sent the merchandise, everything was there except for two items: a waffle cozy poncho jacket in brick red priced at $59.48, and a similar waffle cozy poncho jacket in black also priced at $59.48. They issued a credit for one and reimbursed me for the red one. However, they are refusing to reimburse me for the black one. Please, help me. Thank you.

Received a defective item and requested needed part from company. Was told that the part could not be provided and to return defective item with the smart label included with package by dropping off at US Postal Office or having mail carrier pick up package. Given a return number to put on the enclosed label. P O said the label was not a smart label and charged me $60.85 to return ship to Support Plus. Have requested 3 different times for a refund of this amount and company has not responded.

I bought a novelty pillow for my daughter for Christmas last year from a online site called Signals.com. The signal.com website, unbenounced to me, signed me up for "a scam" service called Signals VIP Insider. A reoccurring amount of $14.95 was charged to the credit card I used for the purchase for months. I did not sign up for this false service. I don't remember checking a box or even being offered this service at the time of check out. I contacted the service and the person laughed when I mentioned not signing up for the service and I didn't know about the service. They were happy I got scammed. The Signals VIP Insider website shows businesses such as Walmart, Kohls, Best Buy, Target, etc. that they are supposedly associated with. I researched those businesses websites and none offered or mentioned Signals VIP Insider. There are several websites on the internet addressing this issue but I want MORE DONE. Like the business taken off of the internet completely! We can do better on this issue rather than just having websites where we can complain.

Ordered pair of loafers and a ballerina yard stake (on backorder). Loafers delivered; don't like & want to return; No return mail label; called Acorn; waited 11 minutes w. no answer; called another Acorn ph.# and waited 12 minutes. No answer. Emailed Acorn. No response 1-1/2 days later. More important is a 2nd order I placed for a very expensive piece of stained glass; that is also on back order. Because of the communication problems I'm having with Acorn, I do not want the backordered stained glass piece. I am afraid they are going to receive it and ship it to me and then I'm stuck returning it. I also have to return the shoes that were delivered. To make things worse, one phone number I called that was listed for Acorn the message said it was What on Earth, another company I am aware of. The original email I received said it was from Bas Blue. I know there is a 4th company, Signals. I'd like a list of every company under this umbrella so I don't order from one of them and get in the predicament I'm in now. After 40 years of ordering from companys I have never experienced anything like this.

So many issues have occurred from the start of the situation which is leading myself to write a negative review about this company. For what I ordered was 2 Frog Stepping Stone *** and 1 Turtle Stepping Stone *** for a total of $70.65 which includes shipping and tax. I received shipment from *** and opened the package and only 1 Frog Stepping Stone *** was inside. I further tried to call the complaint department 2 times being on hold for 40 minuets each time with no one picking up, called the order line and of course someone picked up within the 2nd ring. I began telling them the issues for their response was they would of course let their supervisor know and call back within 24 hours with of course no call back. I emailed the complaint to the company and said that I will have a response within 24-48 hours and guess what no e-mail. Absolutely no communication with this company and no cares for Customer Service. When placing a order it forwards you to the Philippine's where there call center is of course they cant help. Poor Poor Delivery and Completely Unsatisfactory Customer Service.

Universal Screen Arts i purchased george carlin dvd collection back in august for birthday gift

i purchased george carlin dvd collection back in august for birthday gift. when the recipient tried to play it the first disc would not play. after investigation we found the plastic carry case it arrived ion was quite damaged on 1 corner hence must have been scratched up related to movement during shipping. i contacted the catalong customer service and started the process in september to get everything replaced. i shipped the whole thing back using their smart label and never heard anything more. in november and dec they said wasn't received and could be sitting somewhere in a warehouse. nothing happened. contacted customer service again and they wanted proof i sent it. so emailed the scanned receipt and then i was told they couldn't open the attachment even though i could because i checked it before i emailed it to them..so i was then asked to send it to the ohio address a copy of the receipt to prove i mailed it. i sent that approximately 3 weeks ago using certified mail so i would get a stub back proving they received it there. to date no stub has come back..please help me just get reimbursed for the $100 i spent on the product.

I made an order via phone to Signals catalogue. When my items arrived, it was as if there was no quality control. One of the t-shirts did not transfer the print correctly was only half on. Another t shirt was clearly not the same size as average sizes. One pottery was broken up, when opened there was not even any bubble wrap. When I called customer service to get the problem solved, I realized they were a scam and had no intention of returning my money or even exchanging for another item. I called 2 times and was on hold for over 35 minutes both times. So, I called and hit the button to place another order and LO and BEHOLD they answered! When I said I had an issue they were not willing to talk or even transfer me to someone else. They just referred me to the number for customer service. Again, I called and to this minute while the music is playing, I am 38 minutes and 53 seconds on hold, again! This is not about the money at this time, it is actually ruining my Christmas, as I was traveling with these presents. Now I feel as I need to freeze my bank account. They are representing themselves as an American Company, which is clearly not the case.

In September I ordered t shirts and sweat shirt from catalog for a total of 164.51. When they were shipped to me the picture was upside down. I contacted customer service and spoke with Austin on 10/06. A replacement order was sent at no charge. When I received that order the picture was still upside down. I contacted customer service again and spoke with Andrea. She would not issue a replacement order but told me to send things back and they would refund my credit card. I sent everything back on 11/5 using their "smart label" as instructed. She gave me code *** and said when they received the items my account would be credited the full amount of 164.51. I then received an email at the end of November stating they had received the product and were crediting my account. I waited patiently for my statement in December, still no credit given. I contacted customer service again on 1/4 and spoke to Alisa who told me she did not know what had happened and would get back to me via email. She has not and there still is no credit on my account. This company guarantees customer satisfaction, yet has had my money for months without providing me a product.

Universal Screen Arts As others have reported, I too realized today that I was enrolled in a "rewards" program costing me $14.95 a month since 2017!

As others have reported, I too realized today that I was enrolled in a "rewards" program costing me $14.95 a month since 2017! I bought one product in 2017 and have never been made aware of the program, recieved anything of value from the program, or been informed of my on going enrollment. I am a senior citizen on a limited income and I never noticed this single charge because it was literally the only charge squeezed in the billing. I don't use my credit card, I only focus on paying it off and today I wondered why, after making payments of $100 to $200 per month didn't seem to be getting me anywhere quickly and that's when I saw it. A single line along with the interest rate and other card info. If I'm correct, at once a month since 2017, they have deducted $538.20 from me unaware. I want a refund because this company knew that what they did would result in people paying them monthly unawares and if they never said anything about it they'd be profiting for years which they have! I called them and cancelled as soon as I noticed this charge and a recording at the beginning of the call mentioned those awaiting refunds to push 1, I'm guessing that's a lot of people's issue with this company.

Universal Screen Arts I received two unsolicited catalogs from this company, one addressed to me or 'current resident' and one addressed likewise to my husband

I received two unsolicited catalogs from this company, one addressed to me or 'current resident' and one addressed likewise to my husband. I called to cancel both mailings. They were unable to cancel mine because it lacked a customer number - ok, fine. I tried to cancel my husband's (which had a customer code) and was told I couldn't because it isn't addressed to me and they couldn't cancel his "membership" without additional identifying information. The representative then asedk for additional identifying information for both me and my husband, which I thought was inappropriate and suspicious. My issues are this: - there is no "membership" involved here, this is an unsolicited retail catalog that neither of us signed up for. - because it's addressed to "or current resident" at my address, that means it's also addressed to me and I should be able to cancel the catalog even if it doesn't have my name on it. I *alwayscancel unsolicited catalogs and have never in my life been challenged on this. - I was highly uncomfortable at the representative's request for additional personal information and failed to see how it was necessary to complete the request. Resolution: - I would like both of our names to be removed from their mailing lists.

Universal Screen Arts I placed an order with this company December 2

I placed an order with this company December 2. and they sent me the wrong Harry Potter mug. I received Slytherin instead of Ravenclaw. I placed a call to customer service and they assured me that they would be sending the right mug and gave me a return number to place on the return label for free return. The next day I received an email that the item I ordered was out of stock. I returned the incorrect item on December 10 and have proof from the postal service. Per the instructions of the merchant the merchandise was turned over from the post office to a third party shipper on December 12. I have called multiple times and they keep giving me the run around on the credit. The post office stated since it was turned over to a third party shipper it is the responsibility of the merchant to obtain the merchandise. I have called the and they keep telling me to give them another week. It has been 2 months. My last email response was February2 in which the response was give them 48 hours. I have heard nothing. They owe me 39.99 plus tax. I have also filed a complaint with my credit card company. This company sent me the wrong item and charged me for it. That item was returned to them 2 months ago. I just want my money back that they are keeping.

Universal Screen Arts Ordered merchandise in early December

Ordered merchandise in early December . They sent the wrong order. Applied for exchange and sent back unwanted items. Then they sent a whole different order all of what I initially ordered then the replacement item then the initial exchange item. I sent everything back, all of it and asked for a full refund! I asked for $136.00. Made numerous phone calls to customer service they would not help and honestly were quite rude. Finally got the number of a gentleman called Ryan #***. He said I should be receiving my refund in about a week for the full amount. That didn't happen! Called him again today 2/5 and he said the problem was they had not received my merchandise as of yet which I don't understand because I sent back over a month ago (12). I have pictures of return labels etc. He said today that they were going to waive the problem with the return and I should be receiving my refund early next week. Hopefully that is the case but let's summarize: First they screwed up my order, did not process any returns in a timely fashion. The customer service people were rude. I have none of the merchandise and no refund. Plus they tried to charge me for all the shipping for returns! Oh and to top it off they actually sent me another catalog!

Universal Screen Arts Online order placed as a gift on March 14, 2022

Online order placed as a gift on March 14, 2022. Order ID. The shipping address was incorrect. They computer may have jumped or the site defaulted to my shipping address. Most of the address is correct, except for the state and zip. I didn't catch it. The items were shipping via ***. However, *** delivered to an non-existent address. The items were sent to ***, not ***. *** was not a correct zip code and *** is not ***. Once I discovered the items were never received, I filed a complaint. After contacting ***, they told me *** had to file the complaint with ***. I contacted *** 4/7/22 and traded messages with ***. he said unfortunately there was nothing they could do. I said this is not true. You can file a complaint with *** since this was sent to a non-existent address. Again, he insisted nothing could be done and advised me to put it in an email. I did and heard back from *** who also said there is nothing they can do. Recently, I helped my sister with a misdirected furniture shipment from ***. I contacted the furniture store, which filed a claim with ***. They redirected the packages and we got them a couple days later. This is $127.04 lost. This is within their power to correct and they refuse to do so. Therefore, I would like to file a complaint. I would like reimbursement and have considered small claims court.

Universal Screen Arts I purchased DVDs of "Eyes on the Prize on 5/19 from "Shop PBS", but I never received it

I purchased DVDs of "Eyes on the Prize on 5/19 from "Shop PBS", but I never received it. I reported it to my bank "Chase" (7/28) and they gave me a "temporary refund", until they spoke with PBS and then they took it back. I was told to contact the merchant, so I called (PBS) them and they said that it was delivered to me at my door, but that's a lie, because I was in the house, considering there was a pandemic. I spoke to "***" several times, including (1/19/22) today and they are still refusing to replace the product or refund my money of $55.23. The original price is "$39.99, plus taxes of "3.25", they then charged an extra "$11.99" for "smart post", whatever that is! They went on to mark me as a "bad customer" for no reason, so when other people look at my history they'll believe that I'm a "bad customer", which damages my reputation of being a kind and reasonable customer. I'm deeply offended that they'd add that, considering they're the ones who are "bad"! It's slanderous and I'm sure the know that, but their purpose is to ruin my reputation, as I mentioned. I want a refund and an apology for labeling me a "bad customer", when I have done nothing to warrant that label. They are to remove that lie off my record of purchase, because I've been nothing but kind to them. Thank you, if you can assist, because I don't understand people like this. I told them I didn't receive it, and the response is to label me a "bad customer", instead of just replacing the item or giving me a refund?! Go figure.

I received this Unauthorized, Fraudulent charge on my debit card, days ago: 17/05 Debit USA*** US USD 14.95 I promptly contacted what I identified as being the related business: https://www.supportplusvipinsider.com/ I explained that I have never used, seen or heard of their company or services before. I gave them the relevant information relating to this unauthorized charge, yet, they are not assisting with correcting the issue. They instead continuously ask me for "more information", such as my: Complete Physical Address, Email address(es), etc... I am not willing to give this private information, which is obviously unrelated to the charge on my card, as I never used nor signed up for their services. I gave the company, the date of the charge, as well as the last 4 digits of the card number, so that by doing an easy search of transactions, they should be able to locate the unauthorized transaction placed on my card, and reverse it as requested. The company keeps ignoring what I explain, and continuously keeps asking me for "more personal info", which is obviously not useful in this case. I can see that this parent company (Universal Screen Arts, Inc.) operates with many "fake" names/identities: What on Earth VIP Insider Signals VIP Insider Catalog Classics VIP Insider Support Plus VIP Insider Support Plus What on Earth The website looks similar, and whatever they are offering, does not appear to be legitimate products or services, but rather, likely a front to illegally charge debit & credit cards using stolen information.

I am not certain how much before 10/3 I tried using funds remaining on a 2020 Christmas gift certificate given to my mother to make an online order from Daedalus Books. (The certificate indicates Daedalus info as: ***, ***, ***, OH ***, ***.) The online site wouldn't accept a certificate so I called & reached a representative who couldn't help me. She gave me another #, ***, which also didn't result in any help. Yet another contact, ***, in Ohio at ***, x***, was offered as someone who could resolve the problem. *** gave me a set of instructions & asked me to call back if they didn't work. If not, she would place the order using the certificate's remaining funds. The instructions didn't work so I called back & left a message. Hearing nothing for at least a week I called again & left another message - also never returned. On 10/3 I received an email "Did You Forget Something?" reminding me that I had items in my cart. I tried again to reach *** but got her voicemail but didn't leave yet another message. Instead, I emailed a response to Daedalus' 10/3 email expressing my frustration. 6 more reminder emails arrived through 11/1. On 12/12 I emailed Daedalus again requesting help & again received no response. A few days ago, on 1/11/2022 I called customer service & the rep couldn't find the certificate #. He gave me the *** # again & the rep I reached there wouldn't even try to look up the certificate. I told him I was contacting the Complaintsboard.com and hung up. I'm attaching copies of the certificate and my confirmation invoice on which I wrote notes as I spoke with various representatives. A document with all the emails is attached as well. I want the company to refund the money remaining on the certificate which was confirmed as $10.21. Thank you for your assistance.

Universal Screen Arts Placed an order on 11/3 with Signals

Placed an order on 11/3 with Signals. Completing my order, which included $17.99 for shipping, I submitted my order. Immediately a box appeared asking me to submit my email address if I wanted free shipping. This is common and normally would *** free shipping in exchange for agreeing to receive targeted email advertising from retailer. Upon entering my email address and submitting it, a new page opened describing their *** program. The wording in the offer was odd enough that I perused the entire contents to try and discern what this actually was. A free program for free shipping I might be interested. In the tiny print at the bottom of the page they tell you the *** program costs you $14.95 a month charged to the payment method you used on your order. This program has a cost of $179.40 a year in order to get your free shipping! After learning the horrendous cost involved I knew I didn't want, need, or could possibly ever justify it, with my once a year Christmas order. I looked for a means to escape without joining but there was none! It appeared that just entering my email was enough for them to AUTOMATICALLY enroll me, but from reading their *** page I still wasn't sure. Called Signals and was told they had no order details and please call back. Called their customer service line and they couldn't help me, told to call the *** number. I called them and told they wouldn't have access my order for 24 hours! Upon waking this morning I discovered an email from Signals thanking me for joining the *** program. I called their *** program and cancelled. This is one of the most egregious examples of bait-and-switch I have ever seen as most just s*** you once, this one screws you every single month until you catch it! Unbelievable! I cancelled and didn't get scammed, but I'm afraid many folks wont catch it! They need to make it very plain that they are offering a service and what it costs, before they enroll you without your authorization!

I purchased a sweater from Acornonline.com on August 20. They sent the wrong item. So through a process of 3 returns and and a lot of communication I still have not received my promised refund. Please see below: Hello, since August 20th I have been trying without success to settle an account with Acorn. On August 29th I ordered a size 4/5 toddler Aran Sheep sweater. That started a barrage of trouble. 1. order # *** 2. returned sweater *** 3. reordered sweater *** 4. returned sweater *** 5. reordered sweater *** 6. returned sweater *** on 09/19. 7. On-line chat with customer service 09/19 where I was told there were no more sweater available and I would be issued a refund. 08. Sent a certified letter to request a refund on 10/02. I have had no response at all from Acorn in regard to the certified letter nor have I received a refun You sent me confirmation that you received my return October 12th. So where's my refund?
