I contacted AW/United Towing on 9 March 22 to repo my BMW X5 from a family memeber. On 12 March 22 they recovered my vehicle. They have a Twenty day free storage fee that comes with the repo, which worked out great for me, as it is an 8 hour drive to Pittsburgh to get my vehicle. The key was not recovered. 25 March 22 I purchased a key from Valley BMW in Fayetteville NC for $311.00.

1April 2022, I travelved 8 hrs to claim my truck. I got to Pgh called the number several times before I could speak with someone concerning my truck. I was told by the owner that he was at the auction and didnt have any idea who I was. Later I found out this was a father and son business and I had contacted the father once in Pittsburgh. Previously I had all interaction with the son Blair via text. I paid the 500 cash for their services within the 20 day storage.

Needless to say, the key did not work. I called BMW to have it towed while i was in Pittsburgh. The father (OWNER) ASSURED me he had someone who could program the key and that I should leave the truck there. I believe the father had good intentions. I was told he had open heart surgery.

The son then text me a week later stating that he had a friend that could program the key for $710. I said WOW, and that I could not afford that. Besides all I needed was the key to be programmed right?

I told him I wanted the truck towed to BMW. I asked if they took AAA, He said no. I told him a family member had AAA and would come to see the tow through. He did not want me to use another tow company, He seemed so sincere in trying to help. Made me feel like he was looking out for my well being. He said he'd charge me 200. But in the end it was 300

I called P&W BMW to make an appt to have the key programmed. The son towed the truck to BMW. And when I tell you heTOOK POSSESION of my vehicle, he did just that! He didnt notify me when he got there. I called several times. Then I called BMW to no avail.

I was NOT notified that my vehicle was at the dealership nor was I included in any of the diagnostic service or fees before he (Blair) took it upon himself to tell BMW what should and should not be done. The BMW tech told me Blair broke the key FOB at BMW in front of the service tech, trying to see if it was battery operated.

Which explains why he had BMW order a new one without my permission. Knowing it was damanged and it would no longer qualify under my warranty.

He proceeded to PAY BMW with his "personal credit card" out of guilt before contacting me(the Owner) or before I could even speak to the BMW technician to find out why it wasnt covered under Warranty.

MIND YOU this was ALL DONE WITHIN A 24 HR timeline!

Then he RE REPOED my truck!

He charged me 708.99 and threathened an additional $35 a day storage because I was upset that he didnt include me in the diagnostics decesions or fees.

I had to have an invoice sent to me so he couldnt start adding fees. I had another family member pay and pick up my truck ASAP TODAY

I was afraid that they would come up with ANYTHING to keep my BMW!

I am absolutely sure this was a ploy to procur my truck to auction off, or for resale.

Women BEWARE, Iam a female soldier in the US AIRFORCE and this is the treament I got fresh off of deployment! Im not saying to not deal with them, I am just saying be careful to get your vehicle away from them ASAP. The sense of EN'TITLEMENT' is real... No punt intended.

I took my time to write this so someone would benefit from my lesson. I will also put this on BBB, Yelp, Complaint Board etc.
