Good Afternoon, On August 8,2022 My Husband was admitted to UMC due to cardiac arrest. Upon his visit the staff was very caring and attentive to his health care need. On August 16,2022 after consulting with the medical team. I decide to remove my husband off the respiratory their was not more the doctor's can do for him. It was decided by the medical staff to put my husband on the 5th floor for hospice comfort care and transition over. He was moved on August 16,2022 with that day was a Tuesday. I had spoke to someone from Passages Hospice stated to me on August 18 that if my husband pass away of the fifth day. He will be moved to The Sanctuary at Passages Hospice on 615 Dublin Street New Orleans, La. On August 19 I had visit my husband he was graving ill what I had observed it would just a matter of hours him to pass away. On August 20 I received a call on or about 10:11am for UMC stating that my husband was moved to The Sanctuary Passages Hospice. My thought was the UMC staff member did not pay any attention how graving ill my husband was. I had received a call about 10:56 from The Sanctuary Passaged Hospice stating my husband had pass away. I am so disappointed how my husband was treated. If no one cares about another human being. My husband was treated like a bag of trash. My husband was a Veteran of USA Army he serve and sacrifice his body and mind to protect our great country. I hope and pray this was not about money.
