I recently purchased two Mystery Box sabers from Ultra Sabers, and I have mixed feelings about them. My overall rating for the experience is a 3 out of 5 because the two orders were very different.

Let's start with the second order, which was a bit of a disappointment. I received a Dark Sentinel V4 with a plain design and a Green LED, which didn't quite appeal to me. It would have been better if it had some contrasting features or windows. I ended up giving it away to a friend. The other saber in this order was Dark Initiate with an Orange LED, which didn't look good with the midgrade blade. I realized later that I had not selected the "ultraedge midgrade," which would have been a better choice. I contacted Ultra Sabers asking if they could make the change, but never received a response. The sabers shipped soon after, and I was stuck with the non-customized sabers. The Dark Initiate with the Orange LED didn't look good, and I am planning to sell it. It would have been better if it had some quick disconnects or some other electrical upgrade, but I don't want to risk voiding the warranty by doing it myself. Also, the AV switch, which was present in both sabers, added to the cost, making it difficult to acquire other features like windows or a fancy pommel.

On the other hand, my first order was amazing, with fast shipping and overall satisfaction. In this order, I received a Dominix V4 with a beautiful blue LED, windows in the emitter, and a regular midgrade blade - it was stunning. I then upgraded to a NiMH setup, and it was even better. The second saber I received in this order was a Dark Warglaive with windows in the emitter, a standard midgrade blade, an OBSIDIAN sound, an EMERALD driver, and a LITHIUM ION setup - it was simply amazing! I was beyond thrilled with it.

This brings me to my final thoughts. Your experience with Ultra Sabers will vary. I wanted to share both the good and the bad experiences I had with this company. The first order was simply breathtaking, and the second order was a bit of a letdown. But, I would suggest being realistic in your expectations, and you might have a positive experience. Ultra Sabers has some spectacular saber designs that are customizable to your needs. For me, the force was strong with my first order, and I will continue to be optimistic and hopeful with my future orders.
