Ultra Lean Green Tea offers a free trial online (you only pay shipping and handling). But you are then charged about $70/month for a monthly subscription that you are automatically signed up for. You can cancel this by calling the company number that appears on your credit card bill. Even when you call, they will try to coerce you into another deal to reclaim some of your lost money (a deal that actually costs you additional money). All in all, a harsh wake-up call to the dangers of buying items online and releasing you credit-card info.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. They are scam artists, and charge you $39.00 whether you order it or not when they say the charge is only $4.95. I have called them three times and they say it is refunded, and it is not...then called my cc company and they said they will go to bat for me because I asked to be emailed a confirmation that the credit had been done, and it hasn't been to date. It has been over a month. I will fight this and make sure that this is credited if I have to get a lawyer. This is crap. Whatever you do, do not deal with this company. EVER.

I purchased a 14 day trial - paying 6.95 shipping only...I was then charged another $69.87 to my credit card and I had not even received the product yet. I did finally get it in the mail and then my credit statement came and saw two charges for this on separate day. I want my money back - what a rip off... I have only used it for 4 days now and have noticed nothing that it claims- no extra energy, no weight loss...does it even work? Sher

I finally did get in touch with someone today. I also called my bank and they gave me credit for some of the charges this company made. The woman I spoke to this moring asked me if I had read the Terms And Agreement...I didn't lie, I told her no. Then she just became very pissy with me. I told her they had hit me 3 times for the month of August...$69.87...she said they hit me once...I said it is on my statement 3 times...8/18 being the latest. I told her I didn't want the product anymore and I don't want to be charged anymore. She offered me a deal to stay on the product...get it for half price! I said I didn't want it at all anymore...just stop taking my money! But she did not offer to give me any credits for the money they took this month. Now I will call my bank back and see what I can do again. I don't trust this company...all the do is lie to you! Maybe I should call back tomorrow and get someone different...and see if I can get my money back..at least some of it anyway. Any ideas, people?

going through the same experience. Have called ultra lean green tea and have been told that my account is cancelled yet they continue to send me the tea and charge my account. I had cancelled my order online before they changed their website.

With so many complaints, this company needs to be held accountable. I think I will also send a complaint to large news networks because enough is enough.

I ordered ultra lean green tea on November 3(2-5 day shipping). It is now November 18 and I have still not received the product. When i called customer service the girl refused to refund me shipping when I never received anything! I dont understand how you can charge someone for something and never send the product?

Ordered Free sample. Charged Shipping fee as per agreement. I made it very clear that I did not want anything else at the time of order. Was charged nearly $70.00 with an overdraft fee of $30.00 2 weeks later. From the number of complaints, I am contacting the Utah BBB, Attorney Generals Office and possibly considering legal recourse.

I have a complaint on ultra lean green tea. I was lied to and was told that in the package I received there would be a number to call and cancel at anytime as to not be charged. There was no number in the package and I have seen other complaints about this.

1st Mistake -Trusting Oprah.com and Dr. Oz to promote reputable products.

2nd mistake - was ordering the 'free' samples of Ultra Lean Green Tea and Wu Yi Green Tea on the website link provided by Oprah.com.

Dubious Business? You decide.

Sep 22/08

- Ordered online free samples of Ultra Lean Green Tea and Wu Yi Green Tea. Same day response by 'Customer Service' to confirm the 'order' of the free sample. Two phone calls received, one from each product company. Neither time did they mention they were from the same company.

Agent #[protected].

Sep 24/08

- Credit card charged for

1) Ultra Lean Green Tea - $6.95 - NOT Approved

2) Power Tea - $38.75 - NOT Approved

3) Wu Yi Pixie Tea - $6.91 - NOT Approved

Sep 30/08

- I called the customer service number I was given initially, to confirm the order, as I had not received any product yet my credit card had been charged. They responded 'yes they had the order and it would be in my hands by Monday, Oct 6/08.

Wu Yi Green Tea - [protected]

Sep 30/08 Credit Card Charged for

1) American Leisure - $1.09 - Approved

2) Easy Saver - $1.09 - Approved

Oct 9/08

Credit Card Charged for

1) Ultra Lean Green Tea - $69.87 - Approved

Oct 10/08

- NO PRODUCT RECEIVED

- Upon finally speaking to the Ultra Lean Green Tea/Wu Yi Green Tea 'Customer Service' department this is what I found out.

- 3-5 day delivery Guarantee is non existent in Canada. Yet no mention of this fact.

- Ultra Lean Green Tea/Wu Yi Green Tea- you get a sample, providing you give a credit card number, you ALSO get signed up for an auto ship program, that is NOT mentioned to you. - NOT Approved

- AUTO sign up on a 'Fit Factory' website, Raven Media, program for $29+ per month auto charge. - NOT Approved

Unless you read all of the terms and agreements, you have no idea what you are being signed up for, nor what you are committing to financially. All of the 'Customer Services' numbers are contained in this document also, although you may have to stay on hold for an extended length of time.

Although I supposedly placed this order on 9/2/08 I never received confirmation of this until 9/9/08 when I was then informed I had 14 days from then to cancel.

On 9/19/08 (10 days later) I realized my account had been charged the 69.87 for the trial which still hadn't ended!

I called my bank to dispute, I also called Ultra Lean to question the merit of this transaction and cancel. Although the lady through customer service cancelled quickly with no questions she informed me that they will fight my dispute and MAKE sure I pay for the trial of a product i NEVER even used let alone opened!

This company is a joke and so is there product-I've found to lose weight drink water, exercise, and eat in moderation...SO SIMPLE...

Good luck to anyone else that has to deal with these clowns

I just want you to know that I sent for the free trail for $5.00 and I ended up paying alot more for the product instead.. I would not recommend this product at all, if a company as to misrepresent themselve in order to obtain orders then it is not worth the trail offer or your time..

I order the $4.95 sample, for a 30 day trial, and my credit card was billed $69.

This kind of abuse is appalling -- I hope this comment stops someone -- anyone -- from ordering this product.

By the way, it tastes horrific.

I has purchased on a trial basis, a month supply of green tea helping in weight loss. I had to only pay for shipping (6.95$) which I did. But, then I get charged another amount and this time it is quite higher : 69.87$ and I haven't bought anything else, was never told I was going to be charge any additional amounts. I have called the number that registered on my credit card for this charge : [protected]) and a woman named Joan told me that if I returned the product I would get a full refund because I threatened her that I would declare this a fraudulent practices, needless to say, I am not a happy camper.

Sincerely,

I have read several complaints regarding this "Ultra Lean Tea", I first purchase the product at an intial price of $4.95 for a month. As far as I am concerned, I paid and recieved one month's worth. Well about 2 weeks later the "company" charged me for an amount that has been repeated on several message boards $69.87. I never agreed to such a charge and I protested with my bank, and I am currently going through the process. It wasn't a week later that the same thing happened, and there is not contact number for this company. I am very aggravated, can anyone help?

When it says you get ripped, they mean you get ripped off, their 14 day trial is not exactly a trial because after 14 days they charge you 69.87 for the whole 30 day supply (incl the 14 day trial). so if you order your free trial be sure to call them before the 14th day.

On top of that, i haven't lost a pound.

Suntasia in Clearwater Florida comes to mind...and the FCC shut that "marketing" firm down last year for fraudulent activities. They lost millions but only after making $$$$millions on all sorts of scams!
Call the FCC and have ULGT investigated and ask that we all be reimbursed. Try $70 for 6 months now! Talk about PISSED! IMB

I sent all remaining [sugary] tea packets back to them.
Now, I notice going over bank statements, they charged me $70 after I canceled my order.
FYI, I never got an initial email confirmation--just a cylinder of packets of tea 6 days later.
It had sugar and a baby laxative in it. I called and told them according to my doctor, cannot take that stuff because of health reasons [diabetes]; "no problem."

Boy, there is a major class-action here. Plus EVERYBODY on this thread call the BBB and contact Google, etc .

I'll keep you posted. mel

I am having the same experience as stated in the aforementioned complaints. I had cancelled my order via there "standard procedure" for contacting customer service 5 days after initial order to ensure not further shipping and billing would occur.

And, what do you know?! I received another shipment and have just checked with my bank and they have charged me again $74.95. I again sent email via the "standard procedure" as I was told via phone call at their customer support phone # and was told that they would have to send me a "formal cancellation request" to my email. And then, I must wait 5 days and call them back at which time they will transfer me to "corporate office."

Sounds like another "ripoff" to me, similar to Vonage who I had cancelled my account with on 10 different occasions and they still were automatically billing my checking account until I finally had to close that account.

How long will these thieves be allowed to operate and steal people's hard earned monies as well as betray people's confidences.

I am going to make a report to the consumers protection agency in my state.

i was asked by my friend (since i am a biochemist) about this product ""AcaiBurn"" and "GreenTeaExtreme". on their websites its probably the same things being said.
- 14 day trials,
- free 1st bottle of paying only shipment.
- Opera said it was good as seen on TV
(it might be true that it would help loose weight but the pricing is absurd)

it all sound convincing until i saw their follow ups of payment which is being charged 50 and up $$ automatically per month and auto-shipping of a new batch of product.

Like the previous post said, call your credit card company and ask them to block it and make a complaint that its a fraud company. they'll take over from there.

OMG! Took me a little longer to get it. I really have tried these little nasty tasting "tea" packets for around 90 days now religiously. They do not work. I just found this site, while searching for the company's home site. Never did find that. But did see the phone number on this site. Called it. After telling me that all was cancelled, and seeing so many of you who stated that after being told the same thing that nothing happened, I am worried. I guess we'll find out next month. I will definitely be watching my statement. I suggest everyone who cancels do the same. The only way I know of to stop the charges if a company refuses to stop debiting your acct, is to change your acct number. It sucks, but I have had this happen to me before with those magazine/vacation deals. The bank said that was the only way to stop them.

I READ T&C'S - Before you decide to take up sides with the company, which the P.O. Box of the company is listed to be about 8 to 10 miles from where you claim to be located (SUSPICIOUS TO SAY THE LEAST), and call the people here STUPID you need to read other post listed here. In many cases this company has not sent out product that they have deducted money for; my mother’s case being one of them. That in itself is fraudulent, dishonest and theft “UNDER THE COURT OF LAW”. To refute your comments “DO YOU NOT READ WHAT YOU ARE SIGNING WHEN YOU (your grammar) BUYNG (your spelling) AN (your grammar) HOUSE...OR CAR”, (by the way correct punctuation, spelling and grammar are a good thing you might want to try using them) I say to you; DO YOU PAY FOR A HOUSE OR A CAR BUT DO NOT LIVE IN OR DRIVE THEM? To obtain a refund they want you to send the product back first, kind of hard to do when you never received it in the first place. Also they say you must cancel before the 14 day trial period is over yet you don’t receive the free trial product at all or receive the free trial product after the 14 day period so this prevents you from being able to cancel the “LEGAL BINDING CONTRACT UNDER THE COURT OF LAW”, as you stated it to be, in time.
You might want to take the time to read other comments and issues prior to passing judgment. You might also want to take an English/Grammar refresher course as well. People here were subjects of fraud and were stolen from and that is AGAINST THE LAW.

My mother was scams by these "PEOPLE" as well. I noticed that she had withdraws that were not accounted for on her last two bank statements. Unfortunately she is not very computer or internet savvy so when she saw that she could try some green tea for free she went for it. Now I am trying to help her get a refund and stop this bull. She called several times and so far has not been successful on speaking with anyone. Now it's my turn to go after them. First I am going to make sure that nothing was delivered to my sister’s house. My mom stays there for a time though out the year. In any case, the next thing to do is to file a complaint with the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) they are in partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C), and the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA). I figure if enough people do this the company will be investigated and hopefully shut down or at least made to be a bit more honest with people who want to receive their free samples without being scammed into losing money.

If anyone here would like to follow suite here is the web address to the Internet Crime Complaint Center here it is; http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx

Hope this helps some people.

My wife used my credit card to sign up for this garbage using a facebook link, under my nose.
She called and "cancelled" it. I received a credit for one of the $69.87 payment.
But the Kunt5 have charged me for two more $69.87 payments since then.

If these Kunt5 don't give me my money back, I'll have to file a suit with my credit card company.
And after that, cancel my credit card.

I am honestly not impressed, especially with my stupid wife.

They deserve to be publicly tortured, executed and set on display, so others may smell their rotting corpses in the hot summer breeze.
Maybe that will remind people not to scam the innocent.

We didn.t even apply for a free sample and we got charged $69.87US seeing as we are canadian the total charges came to $86.78. We never even recieived this product. when I called I found out that apparently we signed up for this 14day trial for this green tea product. But hey here is the catch once you get the free sample you are stuck with a monthly subcripition. Thankfully I called and complained [protected] and they are apparently going to refund me I will most certainly be checking to make sure that I do in fact get the refund I was promised. These people should be ashamed of themselves. I have nothing nice to say to them.
