Good day

My water meter burst on the 22 march 2023 at around 15h30, I immediately called the municipality as the water was like a fountain, it was gushing out very badly and alot of water was wasted, they never came out, we clamped the pipe to stop the water, but it was still leaking, I called everyday twice cause too much water was being wasted and still they did not come, when I called they said someone will come and its been booked for the 24 march at 17hoo and still nobody came, the whole weekend the water was still gushing alot, I called monday and still no help, the lady I spoke to gave me the foreman pierre jondans cell number and said I must call him but he never answered, so I got a plumber to stop the water wastage and restore the water to my house and costed me r700 and the plumber fixed it, then on the 28 march 2023 the municipality workers show up to repair not bothered about all the water wastage, and with attitudes, who will refund me my money for getting a plumber to try to save water, I was told its the municipalities job to repair issues outside my gate, I know the municipality did not ask me to get a plumber but too much water was being wasted, they say we must save water and in issues like this they just don't care, I am so disgusted with the poor service we received from the municipality, I understand that they busy but for emergencies they should respond fast, I wasted r700 and then they come with no care of the wastage and having attitudes asking me is my meter more important than other peoples and they have alot of work, seriously this is not the way to handle issues, it wasnt just a leak the water was pouring out and running down the street so how many hundreds of liters of water was wasted cause of their slow response.

Desired outcome: I want a refund for the money I spent and also they need to act quick when water is being wasted and just provide better service.
