My daughter just graduated from college and finally bought her very first car. She took her brand new 2010 car for window tinting to this location earlier this month. She has had nothing but problems ever since and has been back 4 times with the same and new issues. The last visit yesterday was a crock. There is no life time warranty, just 2 years. He said he explained the types of tint he uses, but he didn't. He said he gave her 3 choices, he only gave her 2, of which she chose the more expensive. Then he tells her that he used the thinner, cheaper tint at the price she chose. That was not disclosed before tinting. He had to take off one window because there was a big bubble and after finally being able to roll down the window, it couldn't roll all the way back up. He damaged the window rubber (it is bent in several areas) and claims it's normal for the rubber to go down with the window and conforms to original shape when window is rolled back up. It also makes squeaky sounds and the tint on both windows have scratch marks in uniformed lines from rolling up/down. The hatch back tint was pealing and all he did was cut those pieces off. He said if it continues to peal, that is not covered under warranty. He said the only warranty is if the bubbles that are already there become bigger. Other than that, he won't cover the damage to the inside of the door to her brand new car and he won't fix the tint. He told her to take the car back to the dealer to fix the window and I told him they will not cover it and will blame him obviously because of the tinting.

Pass this information on everywhere. I should have researched him before letting my daughter go there. Or I would have seen the negative reviews. The only reason she did was because I had my car tinted when the business was under another name. I didn't realize, until I had to take the car back for her, how downsized it was and the owner is the only person doing the job.

Now I am researching how to get this guy for doing dirty business. Who, with a legitimate business, would not guarantee and take pride in their workmanship? The kicker was, I asked him for his business license number and he told me to find it on the internet. Right there confirms that he is an ###-hole, ripping innocent people off, and didn't have any conscience about it. If anyone can steer me in the right direction on what to do and where to go, I would be deeply grateful, for my daughter's sake.

I have reach out to all these post and offered money back but no one has come forward. Fake post ?

I ALSO WENT TO THIS GUY TO TINT THE WINDOWS OF MY BRAND NEW 2013 BMW. THERE WERE BUBBLES ON EVERY SINGLE WINDOW, LARGE BUBBLES ON TWO OF MY WINDOWS AND HE LEFT MY CAR COMPLETELY FILTHY. MY CAR WAS ONLY 3 DAYS OLD WHEN I TOOK IT TO HIM AND WHEN I GOT IT BACK IT WAS COVERED IN OILY SHOE PRINTS EVERYWHERE. I WAS DISGUSTED. WE CALLED HIM A DAY LATER TO EXPLAIN ALL THE BUBBLES IN THE TINT THAT WERE NOT GOING AWAY. HE SAID IT MAY TAKE UP TO 14 DAYS TO GO AWAY. WE WAITED THOSE 14 DAYS AND NOT A SINGLE BUBBLE HAS GONE AWAY. WE CALLED HIM AGAIN AND HE WANTED TO SEE THE CAR. WE TOLD HIM WE WOULD SHOW IT TO HIM BUT WE DID NOT WANT HIM TO TOUCH THE CAR ANYMORE. WE WERE NOT INTERESTED IN HAVING HIM FIX OR REDO ANYTHING AT THAT POINT. WE WANTED A FULL OR EVEN PARTIAL REFUND.HE THEN GOT SUPER COCKY OVER THE PHONE AND TOLD US WE ARE NOT GETING ANY OF OUR MONEY BACK. WE WERE REALLY NICE TO HIM ABOUT IT AND TOLD HIM WE DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO TAKE HIM TO COURT FOR THIS AND HE SAID WE CAN DO THAT HE KNOWS HOW TO WORK THE SYSTEM, OTHER PEOPLE HAVE SUED HIM FOR THE SAME THING BEFORE AND HE WILL JUST DENY EVERYTHING. WE WERE APPALLED. WE CONTACTED MY ATTORNEY WHO THEN WROTE A DEMAND LETTER TO HIM DEMANDING MY REFUND OR WE WOULD TAKE FURTHER ACTION. HE THEN SENDS MY ATTORNEY A LETTER DEMANDING HER TO WITHDRAW HERSELF FROM REPRESENTING ME DUE TO A CONFLICT OF INTEREST. MY ATTORNEY WAS LAUGHING...WHAT CONFLICT OF INTEREST WAS HE TALKING ABOUT, WE HAVE NO IDEA. YOU DON'T THREATEN SOMEONE'S ATTORNEY AND TELL THEM TO STOP REPRESENTING THEIR CLEINT. THEN HE SENDS ME ALL THIS PAPERWORK ABOUT TINT CARE THAT HE NEVER EXPLAINED TO ME OR HAVEN'T GIVEN ME AT THE TIME OF THE TINT. HE ALSO ALTERED THE SERVICE ORDER THAT HE HAD ME SIGN, THE SERVICE ORDER WAS SEPARATE FROM THE RECEIPT AND ALL IT STATED WAS I WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY STORAGE FEES IF THE CAR IS NOT PICKED UP ON TIME OR LEFT OVER NIGHT. HE THEN STAMPED THE SERVICE ORDER WITH A STAMP THAT SAID ALL SALES FINAL. THAT STAMP WAS NOT THERE AT THE TIME I SIGNED THE ORDER. I REPORTED HIM TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND THEY WERE AWARE OF THIS GUY AND HIS BAD BUSINESS. HE HAS NOT REPLIED OR RESPONDED TO ANY OF THEIR REQUESTS. I HAD TO GO AND GET MY WINDOWS RETINTED AND HAVE ALL THE TINT THAT THE TINT SHOP HAD PUT ON. THE NEW TINT GUY SAID THERE WAS DEBRIS ALL UNDER THE FILM AND HE ALSO USED DAMAGED TINT FILM. THEREFORE, HE DID A VERY POOR JOB THAT IS NOT FIXABLE. THE ENTIRE CAR NEEDS TO BE REDONE, HE ALSO SAID HE GETS SO MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT KANAI'S TINT JOBS THEY ARE CONSTANTLY FIXING ALL THE CARS HE SCREWS UP. HE WAS ALSO BANNED FROM THE COMPANY SOLAR GUARD FROM ORDERING ANY TINT FILM DUE TO ALL THE SHADY BAD BUSINESS HE HAS BEEN DOING. I AM NOW IN THE PROCESS OF TAKING HIM TO COURT TO GET ALL Y MONEY BACK, HE NEEDS TO BE OUT OUT OF BUSINESS FOR GOOD. THIS IS A BAD COMPANY...DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS GUY. HIS OTHER BUSINESS NAMES ARE LAVA LINING, TRUE BLACK INC, AND THE TINT SHOP. HE NEEDS TO STOP DOING BAD BUSINESS AND RIPPING PEOPLE OFF. SOMEONE NEEDS TO REALLY SHUT HIS BUSINESS DOWN!

I was wondering if you ever figured out what to do about this guy. I see its 2 years later and he's still doing his shady business. I am beyond pissed off with what he did to my car!

After reading this post I went to Lava Tint I had my car tinted . This is my 3 car done by Kanai . No complaints here.

I also had my car done by this guy on 02/29/2012. I just bought a Toyota Sienna and he quoted my about $180.00. I have like a panel that I would say that all vans have that is on the side doors. He told me that he cannot remove the little panel because because it would take him too long to remove. He said he would go around it. When I picked up the car not long did the job looked tacky and poorly done. There is a gap between the panel and the tint which allows sun light to still come into the car. It looks terrible! I called him this morning and he says that he doesnt have time to fix it until next week and if it takes him more than 20 mins to remove it he's going to charge me. I contacted 4 other tint shops and they all said that they had to correct this guys work and that the panel that he said he could not remove is very easily removable. I wish I never went to his shop. I could also tell that he whiped my windows with a dirty cloth and left streaks all over my windows. I didn't get the chance yet to look over the whole car to see if he left air bubbles in the tint which other people who left reviews have said. DO NOT GO TO LAVA TINT or may go by other names.

Same thing happened to me. 808Tint is a complete rip-off. The owner David Kanai Sharsh should be in jail.
