Travelscape and City Lights Athens Hotel review: Burglary

We booked accommodations through air miles.ça for two nights in Athens. Air miles.ça used Travelscape to provide us accommodation options. On Aug 6 we arrived in Athens. We went out for dinner and took our passports with us and our money. We left our MacBook and iPad in the room. After dinner we came back and saw that someone had broken in as these items were missing along with a pair of sandals. There was no damage to the hotel. The hotel staff and police told us it was likely done by someone who had the keys to the place. The hotel staff changed the lock the next day. We could not sleep soundly due to fear of people coming back that first night. We contacted the hotel owner several times and there was no reply. Travelscape told us they would only reimburse us 50 dollars for the inconvenience. We feel this is very unfair. This hotel is negligent and should have security cameras. We trusted Airmiles who trusted Travelscape who trusted City Light Athens Hotel. This is a big trust violation.
