I had taken my Toyota Landcruiser vehicle registration number 61508 for 1st servicing after purchase in March 2022 at Airport Road service center in Abu Dhabi. Mr. Tahir was the customer service person attending my vehicle. There was a small nailpolish mark near the sunglass holder inside the vehicle which I asked them to clean. While cleaning the mark they spoilt the complete area which became discoloured. I reported about this matter to Tahir and sent the pics. He said he would look into it and call back but never returned call. Thereafter, I raised a complaint with Al futtaim about it. After this he called and said that when the vehicle is brought for next servicing they will fix it. I took the vehicle for servicing to the same service center in Sept. and I was informed that Tahir has left the job. Other service agent checked the detail and said that we are early for servicing and askes us to bring the vehicle after 10 thousand Kms. When I asked him to repair the sunglass holder he said that when the vehicle is brought for servicing they will repair it. I took the vehicle to Toyota Wave service center at Mussafah in November and met service agent Mr. Sarfaraz. He advised me that your vehicle neesed to be serviced by October. When he checked with Airport Road service center for the repair of sunglass holder, he didn't get the approval. Thereafter I called the Branch Manager of Airport Road branch Mr. Iliyas. Initially he said that he wasn't aware of the incident. Later he said that the mistake was not done by Tahir but other person. He refused to repair the area and blamed me that why I raised this matter after 9 months. It is despite the fact that I had raised customer complaint immediately after the incident.
It is very unfortunate that branch manager is lying, making lame excuse and refusing to accept their responsibility when the service agent has damaged my vehicle due to his negligence. The amount is hardly anything for the repair cost but what they displayed is such mean behaviour and irresponsible attitude which is unacceptable from Toyota service standard.
