I have been buying and smoking Gambler pipe tobacco for several years as I use it to roll my own cigarettes. Although there have always been issues such as excessive stems, weird tastes, and too much un-rollable powder in some bags on occasion(to be expected), for the most part, I have been very satisfied with the quality/price. However, just in the last year, every once in a while when smoking a rolled cigarette, I will get a super harsh, hot burning drag that feels like I just inhaled the cherry into my lungs. It immediately sends me into a choking, gasping cough that is extremely unpleasant and concerning. What the He..! I have to assume that there is some impurity mixed into the tobacco but I have no idea what it could be. Is it a bug, varmint turd, or some other plant/vegetable matter? I understand there is no way to keep any agricultural commodity 100% pure but dang, this literally feels like I am inhaling fire into my lungs. What could possibly be causing this, what should I be looking for, and why is it becoming more frequent in the last year?
Country of complaint: United States
Claimed loss: I have purchased several bags of tobacco that were of poor quality and/or had dangerous components intermixed within that have caused me physical distress.
Desired outcome: I'm concerned that I am inhaling unknown/undesired substances into my body and would like to be informed about what they might be. A few bags reimbursement would also be greatly appreciated.
