Todays Steals and Deals review: April marin scarves

Do not buy from steaks and deals. I had a horrible experience.

I saw these cashmere scarves from April Marin on the Today Show in a segment for holidays gifts. I placed this order that day, November 29, 2023. As a holiday gift, from the segment I had an expectation that the scarves would arrive for holiday giving, but they did not!

When I placed the order, there was no indication that the package would not arrive in time to be given as gifts Two weeks after placing the order I started checking to see when it would arrive. Only then did the on-line material say to allow two weeks to ship. I would not have purchased these scarves and certainly not 4 of them as gifts for people who have helped my family, if I had been told this up front.

I tried reaching them and there was no way to call. I emailed several times and got no response.

After OVER two weeks and my unanswered customer service email inquiry (there is no way to talk to someone about orders), I got an email that the 4 scarves I ordered shipped.

The package arrived on Friday December 22nd. More than three weeks after they were ordered; after all the people I had purchased them for needed to be given their gifts; and after we had left for the holiday. In short too late to be used for the purpose purchased.

When they finally arrived, I did not even receive what I purchased! My purchase was substituted with something the company said was of comparable value. The products were far from comparable. The material used in the replacement product is rough and clearly not cashmere, the color was different and not solid but an ugly pattern.

So I ended up paying for products I did not order which arrived too late to use and the company now says the purchase is non refundable. I will never buy another steals and deals product. NBC should be ashamed of themselves!
