We purchased 2 -$500 VISA gift cards, from our bank, The National Bank of Blacksburg, at the Pulaski, VA branch. The date of purchase of the cards was approximately November10, 2022. My husband kept one card, I kept one card. We were on a trip to see our daughter in Louisville, KY. The first time I tried to use my card, there was only a balance of.35 left on it. I had not used the card prior to this attempt. I first tried to use the card on November 13, 2022.
When we returned to our motel, I called the number on the back of the card. I called repeatedly, waited on hold a long time each time. I looked up the topic of how to file a dispute over a gift card, and found a web site — Cardholder Dispute Services,10615 Professional Circle, Ste. 102, Reno, NV 89521. The email address is dispute. [protected]@bhnetwork.com. The fax number is [protected]. I called our bank for help. Our bank told me, sorry, they only sell the gift cards. Somehow, I was able to track the transaction information myself. It is as follows - Posting date - 11/12/2022. Transaction amount-$499.65. Disputed amount - $499.65. Merchant name - [protected] SCE, payment #244, Address - Walnut Grove Avenue, Rosemead, CA. I filled out the necessary dispute forms, faxed them to bhnetwork.com. I did receive an email saying that the case was being reviewed or such. Nothing any further from them. This money was needed to use for our trip, not to aid a fraud and a thief.
Desired outcome: I want a full refund of our money on this VISA gift card- $499.65. Issued by the META Bank.
