Poor, innnocent, needy, depressed, scared, fragile, naive, people get plagued by this psychic/spiritual virus of a computer programme money bilking machine scheme. Why isn't "Tara-Medium" illegal I want to know? The prgramme keeps changing names. I once looked into their daily advertizing budget it was over $600 a day! So how mych money does this fakery make?

I recently had my email account hacked into and stumbled on some emails that I knew nothing about. One was from Tara medium - I had no idea what this was - stating thank you for £69. I phoned my bank, only to find payments had gone out for various things which I knew nothing about, including this. Not only had my email been hacked, but my card details had been hacked as well. To make matters worse, I, very stupidly, had used the same password on my Verified by Visa as I had to enter my email account - basically because I have fibromyalgia and forget passwords, so I did this for my own ease. Unfortuantely, this makes it easy for hackers to find my details and use my debit card. However, whoever had hacked my details, clearly hadn't changed my email address and so I found this 'receipt' from Tara Medium which rang alarm bells. I managed to stop my card before anymore money went missing. However, because the payments that had gone out of my account were classed as transactions, the bank refused to refund the payments. I contacted Verified by Visa who have confirmed that they are aware of phishing scams where links are being added to emails which open up blank 'phishing' pages which trace your details. I've reported this to the fraud team at the bank who have said that I must contact this Tara medium to ask for the payment back, which I have done, but no money has been refunded. I have had to go back to the fraud team to find out who the payment has been made to and to have them investigated. The other money that was taken from my account was refunded but this is worrying that there are websites/hackers that are phishing people's details to pay themselves/their friends - how ever it works - a nice hefty payment through theft.

Three weeks after Tara propositioned me claiming that my life was about to change financially for the better, I received a letter claiming to be from a financial mangaement firm called Global Security informing me that funds to the tune of $5.8mil were being held in my name and that I should contact them immediately. googling Global Security I discovered this also is a scam. Clearly the two scams are working hand in hand - she makes the prediction charging whatever she charges for her dubuious services while the offer of $5.8 mill is dangled in front of her victim for as long as she can extract more money. Quite neat really. However the marks of the scam were always there, too much urgency, too much familiarity and too much trust asked for and too many extravagant predictions. malcolm. Beware.
