Bad idea to hire Sweet James LLP. They took $20k and gave me only $16,272.50. They don't tell you they add your medical bills to their cut, so they get more than you. The lawyer takes forever to reply and gives confusing answers to simple questions. They forgot to include months of medical bills. They cheat injured people out of their money. I'm self-employed and lost more than the payout. They took almost $4k more than what I got.

I think James is a bad guy who lies and tricks his clients to make money. I hired his company after a call where they said "we do this for the thousands of dollars not the hundreds" when I asked how much it would cost. I got hurt and need surgery and time off work. They said the insurance only covers a little bit of money. Today, one of his bad workers told me James is closing the case after getting some money and I will only get 400 dollars. They won't pay for my injuries, surgery, or time off work. I think if I talked to the insurance company myself, I would have gotten more than 400 dollars. I don't know how lawyers can steal and lie to their clients and be okay with it. I don't recommend Sweet James and his company because they are just crooks who lie and steal.

Me and my wife got in a car crash on 2/1. Sweet James helped us out with our case. They got our money from the insurance company on 11. But we still haven't got our money yet and the lawyer won't answer our questions.

I had a car accident and hired Sweet James LLP. It wasn't a good experience. They took most of my settlement money because I didn't get the treatment they recommended. They wanted me to get multiple epidural injections, but I had a bad reaction, so I continued with chiropractic treatment. I don't think they deserve what was paid to them because during the negotiation process, I didn't have good representation. My lawyer who was originally assigned to my case was no longer employed with the company, and I was never told that I didn't have representation anymore. They brought a lawyer on at the end of my case who was rude when I asked how much I would be getting in the settlement. She never gave me an answer and just talked about how clients never want lawyers or doctors to get paid. They inflated the medical bills to get more money. After we settled on the case, one of the women told me that I would get at least $16,000, and I got nowhere near that. They also made me think that I would get more money on the case if I got different treatment than I was already getting, so they could prolong the case to get a bigger percentage of the settlement. I saw a particular doctor twice. The first time I got an epidural shot, and the second time he didn't touch me, and they claimed that the cost for that was $13,400. They stated that one epidural shot is $15,000, which is false. They took more of my money because I didn't get them the $100,000 that they were seeking. This firm is very deceptive, and I won't stop until I get what belongs to me. I was the one injured, and they are more compensated. I will be reporting this to the state bar.

So, I was driving back to the car place in ***, , and some dude hit me from behind. I never been in this mess before, so I needed a lawyer. My neighbor told me about Sweet James LLP, so I hit them up. I signed a paper with them on 02/24. But then my lawyer, ***, changed the money stuff on Feb. 29, 2020. After some time, my case got settled on 04/26/22 by my lawyer ***. We talked about how much money I would get after all the bills and fees were paid. The money got put in some trust account to handle all that. But then on July 22, 2022, some lady named ***'s helper (***) called me and said I would get $14,000. But then she sent me an email saying I would get $11,500. I said that ain't right and asked for a full list of all the money stuff. When I looked at the emails, the cost was different than what was on my settlement letter. So, I want the ComplaintsBoard.com, State Bar, and ***/Los Angeles county*** Attorney fee dispute to help me out. I bet I ain't the first person this law firm tricked. I trusted them, but they only cared about themselves. And I still ain't got a full list of all the money stuff. I got all the emails and texts to show everyone.
