I would rate Sundaram Home Fiannce as 1 on a scale of 1 to 10, because you can't do anything lower than that. My grouse agains them are listed below:
1. They have released entire funds to the developer without ever checking that the developer had completed the project or not. Purely in collusion with such dubious developers, While contacted regarding this - a laughable reply came, ie., we have not suggested the developer. Irrespective of who suggested, the develper [Saravana Buildiders/Dhanam Foundations] is a dubious one and why to release entire funds while project is not even near 50%?
2. They were the highest one in the industry charging 10.85 compared to 10, which others were charging while i went in for financing my home. Even now, while most of the industry is pegging the rate at 9.5, sundaram's ROI is 9.8%
3. They have changed the servicing branch of my account without even informing me. I went to my original branch, only to be turned over to the new one. Atrocious.
4. The best is this: I had to bribe 25k to the legal team for sanctioning. Let's see the comments by Sundaram team. I would take them to court, if they reply without ever checking the facts with the developer.

My Name is Mathiyalagan living in Dindigul, I appeared for the home loan in Dindigul branch at met Mr. Narayanasamy . He took processing fee of Rs. 5618/- to process the loan without getting any papers fully. Finally he cheated me without sanctioned the loan.
The below mail sent from Mr. Narayanasamy.
We informed you that initial process fee to be presented to process your loan request.

Copy of deal confirmation also given to you.

We have processed the loan and find that you are purchasing the proposed property from your close relative, which you not revealed to us.

We are not supposed to fund for the family transaction only raise funds . Hence we have stopped the process.

We are not in the position to refund the processing fee.

This is for your kind information

Thanking you

With best regards,

Sundaram group is very good financial back round in india. But, company management peoples were not trained.simply telling Employee dont know about the procedure of loan .i applied loan october2012.but, they asked punch of document twice.because, they missed my document one time.i have doubt about, its bank or financial suppporting group . I am working in leading IT based MNC company & i dont have Any other loan. its, ok and their duty done it. my estimation value 12lakhs .we asked only 5lakhs and they granted . initially, they provide 3lakhs & 1 lakhs (in this stage, our building two roof, Brick work, internal plastering completed) .But, Bank side valuation Engineer is said, further 1 lakh will be provide after submission of completion certificate. what is the Rule ? . atleast, they should release some part payment.because, we have eligibility. presently, i am paying PreEMI only.

I do agree 100% with Chandrashekar Nagisetty...the employees don't know the exact process and most of them are from recovery department and don't know how to handle or talk with the customers...especially i had very bad experience in Hyderabad...this is not all good sign to sundaram finance if the don't realize now...sundaram doesn't have customer service support which is another disadvantage...and no online tracking for the payments...most of us are using online a lot as they dont have this feature...stopping is to check the payments...Please think twice...before going to sundaram..even if you decided...to go with these guys..def..i dont suggest sundaram...

I agree with the above comments. Most of the employees doesn't know the exact process and blindly says that everything will be completed within 1 week but it took literally 4 months still process is in progress.

Yes you are correct; they are eating our major portion of income. Many times SHF has increased the interest rate but I never bothered, but this time I am voluntarily paying some additional amount towards my principal but they are eating it cruelly as an emi. They have not even left a single rupee from my additional amount.
Again my sincere advice is that do not pay any additional amount towards yours principal on a continue basis because SHF mafia will assume that somehow you are getting huge money from somewhere so we can robbery that.So instead of this you can pay then and there or at one shot per year.

I say this because we are going to them to help us in time of our need. But they are taking it as an opportunity to kill & bury us economically.

Sundaram BNP Paribas is the WORST I think. My humble advice, customers please don't go for Sundaram Finance. I am also a victim of them. They will frequently increase their rate of interest.

Hi,
This is my loan a/c no- [protected]. I had chosen Sundaram Finance because my friend (who works for Verizon) told me that, she also took loan from Sundaram Finance and they are very good. For that reason only I had chosen SHF even though I had chance to go for other banks, since that time I didn't have any other loan. But after seeing your letter about the interest rate increase I didn't get proper sleep even today. It is very unfair to increase from rs 11500 to rs17000 though my loan has changed from housing loan to commercial loan. After hearing my story, my colleague Kishor who was convinced by Popular Car(Velachery) show room executive to get loan from Sundaram Finance but he didn’t go with Sundaram Finance.
Thanks,
Sudhahar.S

In my current company I don't have PF. So what I did was I had asked Sundaram Finance to increase Rs.5500 with my EMI in addition to the existing EMI(11500).Because I want to pay Rs.5500 towards my principle from April 2010. But Sundaram finance baustered sent me a letter after three months saying that my rate of interest had been increased from May 2010, so EMI has been raised to Rs.17000. Please don't do this kind of payment actives with any private banks.
