I bought a guitar effects pedal overseas from the online shop Studio1525. Its about a DOD fx40b Equilizer pedal. The one with the sliders. Before I purchased the pedal at this man called Konstantin Yurchenko I asked all information about the working order of the pedal, wich he confirmed me its all in good working order. Confirming this email: Re: Message from Studio1525 Konstantin Yurchenko Beantwoorden| Aan: Peter Wanders ; wo [protected]:15 Peter Pedal has been tested fine, and already shipped. You supposed to receive separate email with tracking info. Sorry for the delay with processing, I just returned from the trip this morning. That caused delayed responding as well... Kind regards, Konstantin ----- Original Message ----- From: Peter Wanders To: Konstantin Yurchenko Sent: Wednesday, August 26, 2015 2:04 PM Subject: RE: Message from Studio1525 Great to hear, I didnt expect any other standards. But there arent, many webshops left like yours. Who realy give the quality they say they give. Anyhow thanks, ill be looking forward for the arrival of the pedal! thanks and greets, Peter Date: Wed, 26 Aug 2015 10:50:59 -0400 From: [protected]@optonline.net Subject: Re: Message from Studio1525 To: [protected]@hotmail.com Hi! Yes of course everytinig works fine. None of items will be shipped without thorough inspection. So thorough inspection would mean as is says everything has been tested. So when I recieved the pedal it all worked pretty fine except 1 slider was moving with some resistance and the pedal was quiet noisey and all the sliders were very dirty. Since this is the first time I ever tested a EQ pedal and am not to much know with this type of pedal I first started to test it out to come better to know about this pedal. Later after a while I started to get anoyed about the noisey sound so I cleaned all the dirt and later opened the casing so I could see more of the inside because I do have a electrical background so I know some of this stuff. I found out the carbon track where the slider moves on was cracked. This was all covered with the dirt and the circuit board was mounted under tension so the crack wasnt to much visible. When I opened the casing the crack suddenly became more visible. So and all my pedal wich was sold as in full working order, without any noises with correct moving sliders, was just been covered up with the damage it has. I now was stuck with a not correct working pedal wich I paid highly for since It also needed to be shipped overseas. I contact the seller Konstantin Yurchenko for it wich after a while he said, if you would ship me the item back I will refund you all your money: ----- Original Message ----- From: "peter wanders" To: Sent: Friday, December 11, 2015 9:36 AM Subject: Message from Studio1525 > From: peter wanders > Email: [protected]@hotmail.com > > ------------------------------------------------------ > > Hello Konstantin was it right, remember me Peter Wanders? > > I bought a DOD FX40b equalizer pedal from you a while ago. > Now since day one it had a noisey sound especialy on the 3200HZ slider, > wich > also was moving with a bid more resistance. > But at first I thought its an old pedal, this could be normal lets first > just try it out for a while. > > Now I wanted to clean the pedal because it had a lot of dust in it also > since I bought it and I thought this maybe could be the problem why its so > noisey. > So when I opened it I noticed one carbon track where the slider moves on > its > just cracked, also in 2 places. > You clean out (fix) the pedals before you buy them right? I don't understand where you see the scam. You received authentical vintage item that you ordered. And you accepted it on arrival admitting that item was as offered. The term "noisy" is too much brought to blame the slide, especially at that frequency of 3200. From my experience (which is the big one) that noise is the problem with your setup (cables, combination of pedals, power supplies types, amp location, outlets setup, etc). If slide was broke when you received item, that would not pass the signal of that frequency which means could not produce the noise you complaining about. You used pedal for 4 month, and just broke that slide forcing it back/forward. After all that is 30 years old pedal. Anyway please return item for FULL refund to: Konstantin Yurchenko 1877 Ocean Ave., #5J Brooklyn, NY 11230 USA ----- Original Message ----- From: "Peter Wanders" To: "Konstantin Yurchenko" Sent: Friday, December 11, 2015 11:36 AM Subject: Re: Message from Studio1525 The crack is right at the and of the carbon track, so the carbon track itself isnt damaged. Elseways it would just produce no sound at all. I can asure you it now my setsup, since I have tried it with batteries a brand new power supply, several amplifiers. And all trustworthy, pretty easy to check also, because when there is noise when a normal setup is used, and then it occurs when the pedal is added then its definiatly the pedal. To discuss whether I broke it or not, it stuck in a casing so I cant move the carbon strip back and forward, the slider itself is intact. Whether the pedal is either 30 years old or brand new, if its sold as in good working condition it should be what it says, and this definiatly aint. I do want to return for a FULL refund, so that is the costs of the pedal together with the shipping costs I had when I purchased it and the fees I had of 23, 29 euro's to get it into europe, And the shipping costs I now lose for shipping the pedal back to you. Here is the track & trace code: CC027482099NL You can track it through www.internationalparceltracking.com The purchase of the pedal incl. the shipping was $95, 19 thats in euro's : €86, 62 The fees from getting it into europe where : €23, 29 And the shipping costs of shipping it back to you where : €25, 95 Total : €135, 86 The reciepts are added within the email together with the track & trace ticket, and let me know when you recieved the package. I asume you stick to your promises of returning me my money I lost, then I will stay all positive about your webshop. Peter The last message he send was to wish me merry christmas just as a joke offcourse and he never returned me my money or any contact. He do is friendly through email there's nothing to say about that, but he screwed me over. He first sended me a none correctly working guitar pedal wich he confirmed it was in all good working order. And later he promised me to return me my money when he recieved the pedal back. Wich I professionaly returned with the tracking information and all the reciepts of the purchase and payments I have had made for this pedal. WELL I NEVER GOT MY MONEY BACK! To everyone who is smart enough to check the internet about bad reviews off the site they want to purchase something of. Studio1525 and the man behind it Konstantin Yurchenko are a complete scam, they sell you none correct working stuff for a high price to begin with, wich on the site itself gets confirmed as being in good working order. Even when you ask hem personaly they confirm it is in good working order. But later when you recieve you package you get something you havent paid for, REFUND AINT POSSIBLE. Return your pedal and then you lost your money together with the broken pedal you had. Be smart and avoid buying from this scammer called Konstantin Yurchenko, I always thought this wouldnt happen in the musician world, well forget it! Scams are everywhere!
