my father needed a new car and we saw the full page advert for stoneacre rochdale 0% credit lots of tempters to choose from none of which were offered at any time he wanted to spend 5000 pound the newspaper advert offered fiat punto s for4995 at a cost of 19.21 per week great just what he was looking for we travelled the 10 miles from our home found a car and the sales rep sat us down with drinks then went to see his manager who came back with a deal. The 4995 had had optional extras added at this point i told him we did not require anything else just the screen price but the weekly payment had risen to 33 pound a week i told him no way we had came because of the ad which we had with us and he then informed us that price was for a car that had done 80000 miles something not stated in the advert so at this point i said well if you can do that car for that price the same 4995 why couldnt we have the one with lower mileage for the same 19.21 per week he told me because they need to give people the incentive to buy a car for 4995 thats done 80000 miles plus would you ? at that point he turned nasty and said he could get us one if we wanted and that the car we had looked at was not on 0%finance needless to say we left had this been made clear we would not have gone there this was not made clear at the start or in the newspaper ad if anybody is thinking of going to stoneacre then i wouldnt bother con merchants go elsewhere and save yourself a lot of money and spiel from a company that has no real care for its customer or there individual needs disgraceful .

Completely agree with all these comments. We also purchased a car when we seen the advertisement in our local paper. Only to be told different. Stupidly we purchased a car from this disgraceful company in Rochdale. By the time we finish paying for this car (Hyundai i10, 08 reg) we will have paid nearly £8, 000 with the finance. Altho the car were a used car it only had 12, 000 miles on the clock. We paid extra for parts and labour extended cover. It went back twice, first time the exhaust had fell off, which they said wasn't covered, but my husband wasn't bothered about the cover it were the fact that it had fell off just 3 months after the purchase. The. It went back for noises when turning the wheel, to which their mechanic said they couldn't hear anything. And this noise is still happening now 19months down the line! We have also been told by their mechanic that their is a leak in the break caliper (which was covered) as soon as we booked it in, brought the car in, the paperwork, mysteriously disappeared so the work wasn't done, and stoneacre very conveniently couldn't remember the conversation ever taking place. We have just also been advised (Altho not been looked at yet) that the wheel bearing probably needs looking at as its making yet another different noise. Unfortunately that will have to wait as its in our local garage now being worked on because the clutch cable, plate and supporting box all need replacing ... A massive £600! We had a 13 year old car to which I never paid that much out, before taking this car on with this dodgy company and their sales staff. DO NOT TOUCH THIS COMPANY!

My partner was hounded by the salesmen at stone acre to trade in her hyundai i30, eventually she gave in to part ex her car for a citroen picasso diesel, A lovely looking car unfortunately it had lots of faults, the engine cover fell off on the motorway, the rear window heater was broken, central locking does not work properly, stereo did not work properly, faults flashing up all over the place, the car has been back a couple of times with promises of all repairs will be done? hahahaha no they were not? they took a courtesy car off her to give to another customer and left her with the faults, i contacted the managing director to explain what has been happening and she recieved a call and another promise of repairs? they fixed the radio and the heater thats it, please be very careful buying from these people, they just want you to sign and once you have they are not interested, we are seeking legal advice and planning to return the car and speak with the finance company as per trading standards to end the finance agreement even if it means losing money, for a large car dealer they have no customer service unless you are spending a lot of money, well more than 5 or 6 grand anyway, they took advantage of a woman on her own and i hope people take note of this and steer clear.

I have also been to stoneacre following a misleading ad unfortunately I was stupid enough to buy the car which had numerous problems which I discovered withing a few weeks of buying the vehicle.

1 Faulty car key
2 needed new back box exhaust
3 one of the rear seat belts will not retract
4 when the car is turning at a slow speeds whining noise is heard
5 windscreen wipers work intermittently

I have been in touch with sales manager Dan and he is not interested and ever time I call he is away from his desk and never returns my calls
