Steve Zarellivery flawed evaluation of autograph

S Review updated:

Steven Zarelli either has a bad memory, or he has adopted the morals from his employer RR Auction.

Several years ago, I sold an oversized signed photograph of James Lovell. I met James Lovell in Florida and this 11 X 14 photograph was purchased at the Book Store and signed there along with a few copies of his book. I sold the photograph on eBay and the buyer got an opinion from Zarelli that this picture was not authentic. Ebay refunded the buyer and this buyer never returned the photograph to me.

Now, nearly eight years later, this photograph is up for sale on RR Auctions item #6202 auction April 2016. This time this picture comes with a Steve Zarelli Certificate of Authenticity. What a punch in the stomach this is!

That is the problem with AUTHENTICATORS and EXPERTS. People forget that his expertise background began in the 1990's with BEANIES and he jumped on the bandwagon and became a renowned expert overnight. He is a good BSer .

He started out as a noted BEANIE BABY expert ...I am not sure I see the connection between sewing and handwriting. He can think on his toes and he is very good with people Steve can be very convincing VERY CONVINCING . I personally think he just likes attention and people that have the least amount of common intelligence make up is captive audience. Do you think Bob Bachelder, Mary Benjamin, or Joe Rubinfine would have ever gone to Steve Zarelli for advice ? Of Course Not !!!

Back in the late 1990, s the bookstore at KSC used to sell those lithographs . Most were just signed by Lovell but they did have a few signed by Lovell, Borman, and Anders .
