More like 4.5 stars but just for some minor nitpicky issues during install and with it taking longer than expected. I highly encourage everyone to shop around for solar from the cheapest companies all the way to the most expensive companies, go through the process because you most likely will see a difference. Stellar was not the cheapest but was definitely the most knowledgable and seemed to have the most experience. Install didn't go perfectly but the issues were more down to unexpected issues that Stellar had to accommodate on my end, however, I feel like when they did the initial site survey they could inspect for these issues to be better prepared during install. A little bit cleaner between install days would have helped too but overall they were very responsive and always very helpful with getting done what I needed or requested. My system was turned on in less than a month from when the install began and so far I couldn't be happier with the results, I would definitely recommend them to anyone else.

What can I say about Stellar Solar that hasn't already been said. When we purchased our home, the previous owner installed solar with Stellar. When we transferred the title to us, we contacted Stellar to let them know and set up an appointment for a tutorial for our system. They came out and were very knowledgeable and assisted us perfectly. I was initially solicited by another solar group that works here in [location] (won't say who) who told me of the benefits of the [specific] program and having powerwalls for backup power. They quoted me a price and to be thorough I contacted Stellar to see if they also installed powerwalls. To my great joy, they did and offered a price $3,000.00 less than their competitor. Stellar Solar and their office staff is professional, courteous and made this process a breeze. Additionally, their installers/inspectors were professional and always available to answer questions or discuss concerns. Overall, they deserve 10 stars, not 5. Use them, use them now! You won't be sorry.

We had our first solar panels installed over 10 years ago and went with Stellar Solar on the advice of a friend. Even though these panels are older, they are still performing excellently. They did such an excellent job that when we decided to get 9 more panels, we chose Stellar Solar again. We our going to stay in our home for another 30 years and wanted a company that would be around if anything needed repair. Zac was so amazing at doing the analysis so we would get the maximum energy from the new set. He also met virtually with us several times to answer all the questions we had. And their prices are one of the most competitive on the market. They were also very skilled at working with the County and SDGE to get the permits and we had our system installed and approved within 2 months. They made the loan process easy both times with recommendations for solar loan companies that took practically no work on our part. We also love the new software system for these new panels as we can look at the performance ourselves to see if anything is not working correctly. I would highly recommend Stellar Solar.

This is our second house, using Stellar solar to install our solar panels. For our first house (in San Diego County) we had multiple companies come out to our house to give us estimates. We ended up choosing Stellar not because they were the cheapest (they were not the cheapest quote but definitely competitive), but because of the quality of the solar panels, the knowledge of the consultant (***John), and the time table they gave us for the install. The process was so easy, they handled everything and kept us informed every step of the way. We were so pleased with this company that we didn't even bother having other companies come out to give us a quote for our second house (this time in Riverside County - we were so happy that they also service this county). John was the consultant we had this time and - just like the previous consultant - was very knowledgeable and informative. The process was a bit more complicated because we had to deal with an HOA this time around. But John made sure our HOA had all the information, samples, drawings, they needed. Once again the install was smooth, the technicians were very efficient. We can't say enough good things about this company. Great communication, knowledgeable consultants, and experienced installers. I can't imagine there is a better solar company than Stellar Solar! I liked the sales representative Zac D from the beginning. He isn't your typical sales guy and didn't pressure me in any way, shape or form. He gave me a very detailed/informative presentation at the beginning. Then he gave me all the time needed to make a decision (several weeks), encouraged me to do my research and was there for me whenever I had questions in between. He's incredibly knowledgeable and most importantly, he listens. He understands your needs and addresses them and you won't hear from him the typical sales pitches you hear from other sales guys. I got quotes from 8 other companies and dealt with multiple sales reps. The multiple interactions with Zac were the best customer experience. The entire process with Stellar was very pleasant, fast, and without problems. The installer crew, the sales rep Zac D, the service team, the project coordinator/planner Jeff W were all top notch! I would do business with Stellar again in a heartbeat and I will make sure to refer this awesome and local company as much as I can and whenever I can! They exceeded all my expectations and I couldn't be happier working with Stellar Solar! The house feels great with running the AC as much as we want/need and we'll never pay SDGE again!

I had contemplated getting solar power for our home for a number of years. Often the representative who came to our home was more of a sales person than an individual who wanted to understand our needs. Then I received a recommendation from a friend and shortly there after met with a representative for Stellar Solar, Marc C. He was excellent at listening to our needs and concerns. Prior to leaving our home he had provided all the necessary answers to our questions (member of panels, time frame for the job completion, and estimated date when it would be functional. Marc and the crews who provided the installation were timely, informative about the stages of installation and explaining next steps to be completed. The crews left each day after everything was put back in place with nothing left lying around. Great people to work with on this kind of project. Finally, now that the panels are up and running, right on schedule, I can only conclude this is an honest, skilled team of individuals who delivered exactly what had been promised. By the way - Marc was always available to answer any questions I had throughout the project. My personal recommendation on Sunpower by Stellar Solar, start with them and even if you want to acquire other estimates I suspect, like us. you will be hiring the team from Sunpower by Stellar Solar.

I started solar company research 4 years ago. I quickly canceled my research because all the companies frustrated me. It seemed like a complete scam/hustle. Then this year I started my research again. Solar power is too important, so I got back into the ring to, this time, make a decision and get it done. I have issues with getting the best quality at the best price. I got three quotes and then went full on into third party solar panel comparisons, all available for free online. I plugged in the exact panels each company was quoting me. SunPower was off ALL the charts in quality, production and warranty/lasting production. Absolutely, by far the best product. But that's not my only criteria, I expect excellent customer care. My salesman Marc C got me dialed in and permits acquired with very little effort on my part. I had an old roof, and asked a roofing friend to quote me replacing prior to solar install. Except I prefer all warranty work under the same company, so I contacted Marc to see what Stellar could do. He matched the roofing cost AND upgraded the singles to “Cooling Series" for no additional cost. Sorry for such a long review, but the best is yet to come. The installation crew. Luis, Ken, Robert and Matt. So way above and beyond in every task. Painted all my vents to match the brand new metal trim they installed. Replaced dry rot wood panels, took care of my dog Bowser, cleaned up better than when they arrived, and were the most friendly, accommodating, efficient and fun crew I could ask for. Complete 24 panel system, with brand new roof, installed to perfection AND cleaned up in 5 days! I've done your research for you. This company is your best option! We've had an AMAZING experience with Stellar Solar! We were referred to their team in Sales by one of our neighbors and the sales representative has been fantastic from start to finish. She was incredibly responsive, very flexible, and beyond knowledgeable. She set up an introductory Zoom call to walk my wife and I through everything with solar since we were new to everything and was beyond patient and helped answer all of our questions. She's not pushy AT ALL, gives you her honest opinion and advice from years of experience in the industry, and works to ensure you're happy and pleased with every decision and choice point. She made the whole process simple and easy to understand and helped us through each step. From there, every other person we've worked with at Stellar has been phenomenal. From the project coordinator who brilliantly handled all of the scheduling, planning, and logistics and was so flexible and accommodating ... to the actual installation crew that was BEYOND courteous, respectful, and organized ... to the technician who helped with the final inspections and would always make himself available to help with anything big or small and would routinely go above and beyond ... to the technician who was one of the wonderful techs who helped to actually commission and turn on the system ... and to the staff member who was in the service department who helped ensure our system was up and running properly right before a long holiday weekend. We can't thank Stellar Solar enough and would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to work with the best solar company in our area. Even more amazing, our whole process was unbelievably fast and efficient! From the day we first spoke with the sales representative to the day we were officially up and running with PTO from SDG&E (after install, inspections, approvals, etc.) was less than 2 weeks. We absolutely love our system, know Stellar Solar will be there if and when any issues arise, and can't thank them all enough!

My story of switching to solar has begun after we moved to our new home in April . I have communicated with several solar companies to quote me the price to cover or reduce my electricity bills. I will start with John, he is one of Stellar Solar's representatives. I really can tell that he is a hard-core representative, very intelligent, and really knows what he's doing. My first impression about John is that he treats you as a person, and not just a customer. He requested a video chat at the beginning, and that established a good communication between us. He was so opened for any questions, he explained to me all the ins and outs about the product and how that would benefit me. I almost landed on signing a contract with another company offering me a more competitive price. He asked me to give him a day and that he would fight for me. Finally, he called me and offered me the same price as the other company offered. I couldn't resist his offer because he is representing Stellar Solar panels, and as we all know, their reputation is way ahead of them. Furthermore, he was in contact with me in every detail, including the design, which I refused the traditional rectangular arrangement, and I proposed a kite-like design. John did his best and made it go through. Going forward, Mark stepped in, he was the project coordinator. He did an amazing job to make the process so smooth without any issues, thank you Mark. Mike, the construction manager worked so hard with me. The construction team couldn't install the production reading feature due to the complexity and limited space on my electricity switch board. When I called him and expressed to him how important that is to me, he didn't let me down, he tried all his best and send the technician again to make it work. Thank you so much Mike. Finally, I would like to thank David, Stellar Solar's inspector, for his patience and doing a great job to put everything together. In sum, it was a very nice experience with the Stellar solar team. They all worked hard and have a great customer service. I am so happy now, the solar unit is operable now, and I can monitor the production versus the consumption on the minute, which is really cool to have. I would highly recommend Stellar Solar.

I could not have asked for a more smooth process. From my initial interaction with Stellar Solar's solar PV sales specialist, Kenny R, to getting the final Permission to Operate from SDG&E, the entire process was done without a single hiccup. I choose to go with Stellar Solar because I was buying the most efficient and technologically advanced system made by Sunpower, a US-based company. It is a superior product (well designed and most efficient panels) compared with other panels made by other companies. But it was Stellar Solar's professionalism, friendliness, and sophistication that really impressed me. Kenny was never pushy, he exhibited plenty of patience in answering all of my questions, he was very prompt in responding to all my inquiries, and it was clear he is extremely knowledgeable in understanding how large of a system I needed. The same could be said of Jeff Warren, Stellar's project coordinator. The construction staff led by Trent and his crew (David and Louie) were on time each and every day they were installing the system at my house. They kept me informed about what they were doing and what I could expect. Most of all, I was very impressed by their excellent workmanship and their aesthetic eye for the fine details of the installation to ensure the wiring for the solar system would be kept discreet and unnoticeable. They cleaned up before they left each day, and they truly respected my house and yard. Believe me, having done a complete house remodel in the past and worked with many other contractors, Trent and his crew was the best I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with. They could serve as the model and teach other contractors how to treat customers well. The rest of the process went just as smoothly. From scheduling the final inspection to getting the final paperwork from SDG&E so I could officially turn on my solar system, I could not believe how smoothly everything turned out. Stellar kept me informed all the way through the process, I always knew what to expect, they never made me feel like I was bugging them with all my questions, and they kept their word every step of the way. I truly had a exceptional experience with Stellar Solar, and I'm confident you will have a very similar experience too. You can't go wrong in trusting Stellar Solar for your solar needs.

After consulting with several well-known solar dealers, including Tesla, I am glad and lucky to choose Stellar Solar for my solar system and the EV chargers. My experience with them is pleasant because they behave respectfully in every stage, starting from design proposal, pre-install inspection, system installation, post-install inspection, applying PTO from SDGE to final system turn-on. And with the help of such a highly organized team, the overall process becomes very efficient, and we only spend around four weeks from signing the installation agreement to receiving PTO from SDGE. By this opportunity, I would like to thank the team, from the front-end (facing customer) to the back-end (scheduling or coordination), for their hard work. To name a few, thanks to (1) my solar consultant "Erin P," (2) the installation team, and their lead "Eddie," and (3) the post-installation inspection person "Joe." Because of your decent work and the good impression I have of you, I will definitely recommend Stella Solar to my neighborhood interested in going Solar. Mainly I would like to again express my sincere gratitude to my energy consultant, Erin P. She behaves professionally in a good business manner (telling me the pros of Stellar Solar without talking about the shortcoming of others) and responding to my questions promptly. We even had long online discussions (> 2 hrs) regarding layout design, payment methods. I even changed my payment methods and EV charger options after signing the agreement a couple of times; she always patiently helps me adjust accordingly. Sometimes, it was late, and I still got her prompt response. Thanks for all the help from her, and be very respectful to my voice and change. Meanwhile, thanks to the install team, led by Eddie, for their very efficient, friendly, and mindful social distancing behavior amidst all the COVID-19 cautions. The team went beyond my expectation. Not only they informed me of their works beforehand, but I am also very impressed by the team that they even make great efforts to clean the workspace carefully after the installation. For instance, they search carefully for any potentially scattered screws or debris to restore the ground and patio to the best clean conditions after installation. Lastly, thanks again to Stellar Solar, making my solar installation easy and completing each of the processes with timely, professional, friendly, and hard-working people. You deserve a 5-star rating.

My solar system did not produce power for 9 months. Stellar Solar was notified on 1/19, they came out to our home 1/26 and were able to get the system partially working.. I was told By Laz the solar tech that the PVS2 monitor was not working and they would replace it immediately. I followed up with a representative at Stellar on 1/29 to confirm replacement. He told me via text that they would have confirmation on Monday 2/1 and they would get it done asap.. I waited until 2/9 to follow up again and the representative told me not to worry about it, if they were going to replace it that they would contact me. Finally on 2/26 another solar tech came to our home due to lack of production and replaced the faulty monitor. I am only asking for compensation of the lack of production from 1/19 to 2/26. We have asked Stellar Solar multiple times for this and they have ghosted us completely. I will deal with the 9 month loss of production in 2020 via the courts.

I have been in contact with Stellar solar and Sunpower via phone and EMail. In about March I contacted Stellar dolor about high electric bills. They directed me to Mosaic the lease company who then referred me to Sunpower. A technician was sent and could not fix the problem completely due to what he said was faulty equipment ( transformer). This technician stated that this was a known problem but but did not contact customers but rather left it to them to find. The part was back ordered, but eventually fixed. Many e-mails were sent requesting a refund for the months that the equipment was not producing properly. They asked for bills and through emails from Stellar and myself the beginning of the production issue was pinpointed. I did not hear back from anyone after their final request for copies of the bills. I contacted the sales person from Stellar many times and he continued to ask me to be patient. He kept stating that these types of issues take time. I wailed and waited and it has now been months with no contact from Either Stellar or Sunpower. There is no doubt when examining bills that this problem started within months of initial purchase and installation. I even stated by e-mail that I was prepared to contact ComplaintsBoard.com for help with the resolution of this problem and still nothing.

I have ongoing issues with my Solar System experiencing Arc Faults etc.. since Stellar Solar replaced my old solar system as part of the Stellar Class Action lawsuit with their own panels. For the past two years they come out and replace fuses saying that is the issue. After multiple email exchange they confirmed that they would rewire the system but did not show up on the day scheduled. Once they arrived they did not rewire the system but said that they needed to order junction boxes before work cold be completed. Two weeks have passed and still no response to emails asking for an ETA on the junction boxes and when work is to be completed. See one of the latest emails sent to their Service Manage since the President of the company nor his assistant will return my calls or emails. [Name], I thank you for your email for you are the only one at the company that responds to email or calls. [Name]/[Name] I would appreciate a call from you rather than [Name] for he is not able to answer the questions that I have regarding my system. Ive sent two emails one on 11/8 and the other on 11/10 [Name] and havent yet received an email response or call. I followed up with [Name] while you were on vacation and she said to call her if you did not respond. I have been leaving messages to [Name] for the past two week with no response. I get a call from your service department this week to arrange for someone to come out to the house due to another Insulation Resistance Issue which occurs constantly but still no response form you or [Name].I had no issue getting emails or calls when new solar panels were to be replaced or when replacement inverters needed to be purchased and installed.
