I had a very bad experience with Stayforlong.com and would strongly caution others.
My reservation was booked under an email address that was not mine, which created issues getting confirmation details and made it difficult to manage the booking directly with the hotel. It also prevented me from adding the stay to my Hilton Honors account.
The hotel told me they received and processed my original cancellation and were willing to honor a one-time change/cancellation due to my Honors status. Despite that, Stayforlong rebooked the same dates and charged me again, claiming they never received confirmation of the cancellation.
To make matters worse, when the hotel asked for the last four digits of the card on file, it did not match my card, which raised serious concerns about how payment details were handled.
Overall this felt predatory and left me stuck in the middle. Use extreme caution if you’re considering booking through this company—they won’t be around “for long” when you need help.
This experience felt like a setup that benefits the third party and leaves the customer with the headache. I won’t use them again.
Recommendation: Don’t book, go through hotels or reputable travel agencies
