Skyline Security Management review: Home security system

I feel that a salesman for your product has used fraudulent tactics to sell your products and saddled me with a product I never really wanted. On December 31st of 2025 I was approached at my home by D...s Sp..r. He is a representative for the Utah branch of Skyline Security. His number is 616 690-2... His name and number have been obscured to be in compliance with terms of service for this site. He explained to me that by signing up for the home security system and monitoring I would be getting both the security monitoring and a maintenance service for my solar system. Other sales representatives had come recently trying to sell a home security and internet bundle so it wasn't too much of a stretch to have home security and solar maintenance bundled into one service. Douglas Spencer promised that within a week of signing up, he would arrange to have technician come and repair the gateway or controller on my system. To me having my solar array repaired would reduce my electric bill enough to offset the monthly cost of the system. I would just need to give him a few days to set up an appointment for the technician. These few days, as it turns out, were crucial.

I signed up and waited a few days for his text to confirm the appointment and set up instructions for the new solar maintenance agreement. I even texted him to confirm he was working on it. He replied that he was indeed working on it. (I have the texts if requested.) After a week passed, he no longer responded to texts, phone calls or Facetime requests. Upon reviewing my contract, the reason became obvious. After January 3rd, I could no longer get out of the contract. I have called the numbers on the contract, and had it confirmed that I am indeed locked in for five years on a contract I never really wanted. I have sent emails and spoke with representatives to no avail. No one wants to hear my complaint and the only contact for service, complaints or issues in Utah is the above-mentioned Do...s Sp..r.

Do not engage with this company. Their sales tactics are fraudulent and customer service abysmal.
