Hi, today 1 November 2023, brought my old mum of 76years old to SGH for 2 appointments scheduled at 10:20am at ODC block 3 Level 1 and followed by Sport and joint at Singhealth Tower level 4 at 11.10am The appointments were scheduled by SGH with no input from us. However, while we were at the first appointment at ODC, we did ask the staff, “since there is a delay at ODC , do we need to inform the second place at Orthopedic Sports and Joint Center(OSJC) at Singhealth Tower Level 4, that we got held up in ODC? Staff at ODC said “No. OSJC department will know, as it is in the SGH’s computer system. “

After leaving ODC, we immediately proceed to OSJC at another building. Take note, my mum is 76 years old with leg pain and carrying a walking stick. We registered our number and waited. The number was not called, then decided to search for the consultation room T406. Suddenly, the doctor’s first line was “ Wa! Now then you come ah! His assistant gave us the disgusted look. Already judge us base on their views with actually checking the computer system screwed up. “I tried to explain that we were held up at ODC. But he interrupted me and said “ why you never answer your phone?! “ what phone call? I didn’t receive any.” I said. I wanted to explain the situation and he Just walked off into his room and slammed his door- I said I am talking to you don’t walk off…”

Then moments later my mum was told to enter the room and was told “you got open date from doc William Xie, so actually you no need to come”

You all made this type of appointments for us, we show up, got delayed at the first location, told by your staff that informing the second location was unnecessary. Got attitude from your doctor/ therapist and assistants , we got door slam in the face, then told we actually made an unnecessary trip to SGH. WOW! So it’s ok for SGH staff to instantly jump to conclusions and judge patients, not respect your patients? What did we do to deserve this?

Desired outcome: SGH staff should really look into your computer system that our patients cannot time travel and be at 2 places at the same time. Don’t hastily judge your patients before checking the reason.
