During January 2021 Seeff Potch showed us a rental house on farm One-Day-When near Potchefstroom.
We rented from beginning of February 2021 and moved in by mid Feb. On arrival it was noted that the house is extremely dirty and the bulk of the lights needs new bulbs. We also noted that the large air conditioner in the living room was removed, later we learned that this air conditioner was moved to the main dwelling. The 2nd air conditioner in the study is still not working and the 3rd air conditioner in the main bedroom still needs a major service.
Then we learned that the pressure pump supplying water to our premises is in a bad state and the switch had to be operated manually, i.e. you must actually walk to the pump and put it on or off by hand. Early in April the landlord instructed me not to operate the pump any more, due to the fact that the pump will be repaired. Thus, we were without water for a number of days. On the Sunday after much negotiations the landlord put the pump on for most of the day.
During early May we experienced an electricity problem. The problem was considered serious when my wife was shocked in the shower. We reported this problem to Seeff and due to the water experience we left site for 2 nights. On our return we learned that the electricity problem still existed. Only when the wife of the landlord was shocked, was an electrician ordered to site. The problem was identified and repaired.
Both the water problem as well as the electricity problem were on the landlord's side of the ground.
We left One-Day-When on 12 May for Namibia. On arrival back on 5 July, I put the geyser on. We went shopping and visiting family only to arrive just before 21:00 at a dark house. Soon we learned that the geyser was the cause of the electricity black out. The problem was immediately reported to Seeff.
After much discussion and communication, I appointed an electrician this morning 9July and the problem was solved within an hour.
Surely being deprived of water and electricity should be considered urgent matter.
Thus, I complain to Seeff Head office to investigate the above and to urge the local office to handle such matters with the required urgency.

Desired outcome: 1. Seeff/Aldrich Properties must refund me for the repair of the geyser and educate the landlord on his obligations or find an alternative manner to rectify urgent matters.
