Bob Eaton Ethics Issues -Autographs
I have no problem with RR selling Autographs, that is what they do and they are successfull at it".
My issue is they seem to be trying to be an AUTOGRAPH MONOPLOLY !
1) RR AUTOGRAPH AUCTION is connected with PSA DNA|. I have no issue with LEGITIMATE 3RD party opinions, but PSA DNA certicates include Bob Eaton's Signature because he is a partner in this Company:. When RR describes an item as "Pre-Certified by PSA" this is missleading/. If the item is being sold on RR then it is NOT A THIRD PARTY!
PSA(partnered by Bob Eaton of RR) is the chosen authenticator for eBay/. I stood in line for three hours to get Carl Yastremski to sign baseballs, I listed these on eBay and based on a opinion of PSA, my listings were removed and I ended up with a violation notice from eBay, . Nice huh ? I called PSA, only to be told that they could be authentic and for $ XXX, I can send these signed Yastremski items to them for Authentication'. Basically, Mr|. Eaton has a hold on eBay. You can not compete with Bob Eaton by selling on eBay because he has a foothold on eBay and every single autograph sold via, PSA DNA, a subsidiary of RR AUTOGRAPH AUCTIONS.
2) SLEEPERS ! Yes, every auction house has sleepers and RR AUCTION is no exception ! I bought a few bargains from RR and attempted to resell these on eBay. FOILED AGAIN BY MR. EATON ! I began receiving harrassing eMails from ? with an interigation into "Did you buy this XXX autograph from RR Auction ?" " This XXX autograph looks just like the one sold by RR AUCTION, sale#XXX, on XX/XX/XXXX please explain this . " Needless to say, RR promply dropped me as a client and I am now on RR's blocked bidders list because I was buying for resale. Again, a monopoly !
3)I attempted to sell a card signed by Neil Armstrong. RR Auction uses STEVEN ZARRELLI as a Space Authenticator. I do not think he is the best, but the signature was accompanied by a STEVEN ZARRELLI COA. Since I put little credibility on Mr. Zarrelli's expertise, I ommited the existance of his COA when I listed my ARMSTRONG autograph on eBay. I had every intention of including the COA with the sale, but like I said, I have very little confidence in Mr. Zarrelli's ability(just my opinion). This item was genuine, authenticated by one of RR's staff, however, Based on a PSA DNA opinion, my listing was pulled. I received a violation notice for my efforts.
4) RR AUTOGRAPH AUCTIONS has partnered with a gentleman name Steven Cyrkin. Mr. Cyrkin runs a site called AUTOGRAPH MAGAZINE LIVE. This site disparages, defames, and SLANDERS all of the other AUTOGRAPH AUCTION HOUSES that directly competes with Bob Eaton and his auction company RR AUTOGRAPH AUCTIONS. AUTOGRAPH MAGAZINE LIVE promotes PSA DNA, as well as it's partner BOB EATON, and RR AUTOGRAPH AUCTIONS. RR Auction has bold advertising on this site.

Bob Eaton, Bobby Livingston, John Reznikoff, Bill Mastro, Steve Zarelli, had a meeting concerning an over supply of Charlton Heston Autographs as well as the low value of the items. It was decided by these men, that an autograph study was in order. The autograph study included a very convincing argument that the Charlton Heston examples where the "r's" looked like "l's" were from that moment on valueless secretarial and the slower written form where the "r's" are formed carefully with articulation would be authentic giving these greater value... A recent meeting took place with these same men, minus Bill Mastro (Mastro is in the big House Serving Time) and at this meeting Jerry Lewis was the topic for discussion.
http://www.rrauctionlawsuit.com .. Between April 2011 and July of 2011, Plaintiff Michael Johnson personally delivered more than 20 autographed music items he had previously purchased from RR Auctions to PSA/DNA Authentication Services located in Santa Ana, California. The autographed items Plaintiff Michael Johnson purchased from Defendants RR Auction came with Certificates Of Authenticity issued from RR Auctions and/or RR Auctions music autograph authenticator, Roger Epperson.
All items submitted by Plaintiff Michael Johnson to PSA/DNA Authentication Services which Plaintiff Michael Johnson had previously purchased from RR Auctions we’re rejected by PSA/DNA Authentication Services as not authentic.

There is a childish girl at RR that sometimes answers the phone and she is so rude and disrespectful . Condescending and acts like your questions are dumb. Bobby Livingston is the best one to talk to. Bob Eaton rarely comes to the phone anymore, even if you call and ask for him.
RR AUCTIONS WILL NOT ALLOW ME TO BID BECAUSE I PREFER THAT PACKAGES BE SHIPPED TO MY PO BOX< BUT THEY PREFER A STREET ADDRESS I LIVE IN A SCHITTY AREA AND PACKAGES ARE USUALLY STOLEN OFF MY STOOP. I Talked to a sassy condescending girl on the phone at RR who basically scoffed at me and my reasoning. As for authenticators and COAs, I prefer to look at the item and draw my own conclusion . Between an immature sassy girl on the phone and the prospects of having valuable items sent to my street address where they might be swiped, as opposed to being locked up safe at the PO, I buy mine from other people and other auctions.
RR took Steve Zarelli on as an Authenticator. Makes no sense because the man has zero ability to authenticate and if you look at forgeries on EBAY you can find them complete with a Zarelli COA simply because PSA will not authenticate fakes and Zarelli might because he is ignorant about autographs. He can talk a good game, but authentications are pitiful.
Between all the hate sites, such as AUTOGRAPH MAGAZINE LIVE, the hoakey authenticators like Zarelli, Epperson, and Bill Mastro, and the fall of the UACC, autograph collecting has become a hobby for the dysfunctional illiterate ..holes. R&R has worked hard to discredit competitors and in doing so, helped to destroy the integrity of autograph collecting. Soon people will find other hobbies.
If you google RR Autographs complaints you will see many pages. RR has spammed the world wide web with tons of promotional materials about themselves in an effort advertize and an effort to hide and bury all the online complaints. PSA DNA, partly owned by RR Autographs, tends to favor certain dealers while discouraging others. Google PSA DNA complaints and you will see that many people, who stood in long lines to get autographs in person were slapped across the face by PSA when those items were returned as "likely Not Authentic". If Howard Johnson signed a baseball for you, live in person, at a sportcard show, then how can PSA determine it to be FAKE ? The answer is either they suck at what they are doing, or they don't like the person that got it signed because his name isn't Bobby Eaton, Billy White, or Johnny Reznikoff .
Is this the same Bobby Eaton who grew up in Massachsetts and in Miss Ehrich's Math class popped a woody ? He was not paying attention when she called on him and made him stand up in the front of the class, tent and all. His face turned beat red !

RR AUTOGRAPHS " IS" A MONOPLOLY ! THEY ARE TRYING THEIR BEST TO DISCOURAGE OTHERS FROM ENTERING THE SELLING GAME. PSA DNA HAS STEVE GRAD AS LEED AUTHENTICATOR AND HE WAS INVESTIGATED BY THE FBI IN CONNECTION WITH THE BILL MASTRO FRAUD ARRESTS.
just because Steve Zarelli authenticated the neil armstrong autograph does not mean that that item was Authentic. You said yourself that you don't have much confidence in his abilities. Maybe PSA was correct ? A agree that RR does some underhanded things. They create illusion of trust but their other authenticator is Roger Epperson and Roger Epperson is just another bookend to Steve Zarelli. Its all show and it is a big confidence game with RR.
Bob Eaton has worked very hard to ruin autograph collecting. Like the child that owns the basball (ie if you let me win every time you can because it's my ball) I would also state my own opinion that I have serious doubts about the Rock and Roll items they sell, again just my opinion.
This complaint sums it up perfectly well.
R&R just paid $ 7000 to [redacted] in order to spin complaints on that site they are now [redacted] VERIFIED
