Royal Adventure Marketing Services review: Holiday package 4

I, Arati Gupta, am writing to complaint "Royal Adventure Marketing Services" for selling us a Europe holiday package while providing false information about themselves. Me and my husband were sold with package of AED 12, 500 on 28 August 2021. After realizing facts about them we immediately asked for refund claim. The company agreed and promised to provide us refund on 5th September 2021 but till date they have not provided us the money neither are they responding to any phone calls or emails. Please refer following details and series of events occurred:

1. I received a phone call on 28-Aug-2021 that I have been selected to receive some gift coupons as a part of your promotion offer. They said that they had some free gifts for me, but for that I have to attend a 30-minute session at Hyatt Place, Dubai West district, Al Riggs, Meeting Room No. 1 on 28-08-2021 at 5.30 p.m. The name of the company was mentioned as "Royal Adventure" on the invite as well as on the venue. This fraud company has masked their name with the well known reputed Royal adventure tourism company in uae. Before visiting the venue, I checked online for your website through google search engine and was directed "Royal Adventure Tourism website". We were mislead with the name so we visited the venue.

Upon visiting we saw the exhibitory banners and flyers stating the name of your organization as "Royal Adventure". We believed that this company is the one we know about- Royal Adventure Tourism.

2. In that session they gave us one survey about holiday preferences. They also asked us about our background and general talking to gain our trust. They showed us a brochure containing a list of 5-star hotels and 4 star hotel and resorts, etc saying that they they have a tie up with them.

3. They were able to gain our trust hence we signed up for this offer and made a payment of AED 12, 500 (AED 7500 Citibank Credit card and AED 5000 from Rakbank Credit cards). The staff was hurrying up the things when we said we need time to discuss. They also said that the offer was valid only for that day.

4. After making the payment they issued a payment receipt with stamp stating, "Royal Adventure Marketing Services, Abu Dhabi". Also, the payment transaction was done to the name of " Paris Arabian Perfumes, Abu Dhabi". This was shocking because they claimed that their registered office was in Deira, Dubai and is now shifted to Sharjah. Nobody mentioned Abu Dhabi. And Paris Perfumes is another company. My further research brought me to a Newspaper page about past scam incidents of other companies with exact same offers and packages and free gifts.

5. After knowing about the name change and transaction details, I went to meet them in your Sharjah office as stated on the bill receipts and their website along with membership confirmation email. But to my shock, the door was locked, there were no name plates anywhere on the building mentioning their company name. We also enquired with their neighboring offices and the security guard, and they claimed not to have seen anybody in the office till date. The security person also told that the office no. 109 is NOT being occupied by any company till date.

6. We then visited their team at Hyatt place, Meeting room No. 1 at 4.30 p.m on i.e 30-Aug-2021. We talked to Mr. Shaikh and briefly explained to him our disappointment and concerns regarding the legitimacy of your company and the package. We also spoke with Mr. Narayan over the phone. We were produced with a trade license of Abu Dhabi and were told that HEAD OFFICE is located at Abu Dhabi, which was new information. We asked for address, and they said they will provide shortly.

7. They are providing travel and tourism services which is against their trade licence activity.

8. On the day of booking, we were told that their company is 6 years old and running a very successful business since the time. Later that day we discovered that their company is established on 29 April 2021 as per the trade license, which does not even complete 6 months.

9. We received a phone call after a while from Mr. Wasim from Abu Dhabi in order to clarify with us. He also confirmed that there is no office in Abu Dhabi with some justifications. After some arguments he agreed to process the refund.

10. On 31st August morning, Ms. Sadika emailed us asking for our bank details to transfer the amount. The timeline provided was 5 working days.

11. After numerous phone calls and follow ups, they stopped receiving my phone calls. They last told that the refund would be initiated on 21st September 2021 but till date there's no response from them.

We have been told lies time and again in all these days. We are worried that they are committing a fraud with us and other clients also. We do not wish to be associated with a company who tells lies and does not pick phone calls.

Please help me out in getting my money back.
