Robin Truax Of Club Aura WV stole my money!

On January 17th 2019, club promoter Robin Truax and her Ex BF (Jay Game Tyme) engaged in a contract to book me and my media company to host thier event at Club Aura West Virginia on February 16th 2019.
They requested that I help them book one of my celebrity VH1 friends to host the event with me, which was understood that before I did, the agreed to secure my booking with a contract signed and deposit. The deposit of 750.00 (1/2 of 1, 500) was paid by round January 18th. This corespondence occurred via email address [protected]@gmail.com.

Upon receiving the deposit, Robin informed my that she and Jay used to be in a relationship and that they were having very petty personal differences. Jay sent me a text message stating to deal directly with Robin.
As promised I put them in direct contact with the VH1 talent and they were able to direct book her based on my engagement.

One day out of the blue, Jay calls me to complain that Robin and he are not aware of how to promote the event, and social media trolls were making unfavorable comments about the TV star host (who has over 3 million followers and 6 million fans from VH1) Letting me know that they are actually not skilled at promoting a club.
1) They claimed they never read the contract that Robin signed.
2) Robin and her partner constantly asked me advice about booking other artists (like Wale and Young Gleezy) and by thier own lack of professionalism wound up being overcharged and losing the deal with Wale.
3) Put their personal conflicts in the middle of the booking.
4) Allowed Social Media trolls to distract them from properly promoting.
5) Jay threatened me.
6) Robin threatened to not pay if I asked for my balance again.
Despite thier bumbling acts of non professional behavior, we agreed that Robin would pay me the balance, I would waive the flights hotel and transportation and she could STILL CONTINUE the booking with my TV client and the payment would cover that. I sent this in writing, which stated that this needed to be paid before my client arrived, as we all know, once she has my client in the club, she might not honor our agreement.

I followed up and Robin stated that she preferred to pay me the night of the event (as per the originally signed contract) also threatening that if I asked for payment again, she would not pay it( as if asking for funds owed is grounds for not paying what you owe people).

Note: All the time realizing that Robin was attempting to make excuses to not pay me because she was a poor promoter who has no connects nor juice in the entertainment industry, I remained totally professional and even offered sound advice. We never had any verbal dispute at all. Even when she tried to lead into confrontational conversation, my response was always positive (All texts were saved).

The fees and expenses in our signed contract included, Rate: 1, 500.00, two flights, two rooms, ground transportation and return.
The balance due:750.00

The TV star posted the event on her IG giving Club Aura WV access to over 3 million followers to view.

I text Robin a congrats to a successful event. We chatted via text. She said the fans loved the TV host. And responded with positive words.

The payment was due the 16th, nothing.
We text on the 17th but no payment.
I reached back out on the 19th and finally today on the 22nd. Robin Truax STOLE MY MONEY!

Lies! I’m so glad I still have his contract after all this time.

Per attached contract:

clearly says...cancellations must be made 72 hours before the event at that time purchaser forfeits the deposit which is 50 percent which marcus kept.

Per Marcus’ contract I canceled him as a photographer before 72 hours of the event. Therefore, per his contract my balance was zero.

No one knew the artist was going to catch a child endangerment charge right before the event so therefore ticket sales didn’t support paying a photographer!
