Road Test Schedule for VIP Package review: Pathetic service for the schedule of road test in vip package after paying 14,000 aed

After enrolling to the EDI platinum service, have got to know that the details provided while booking paying AED 14k was so much different than the practical situations at EDI.

I was informed that I can take classes and tests on Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) as I am working on weekdays and will not be able to manage time on weekdays. But now in the EDI center they say that Weekends they cant book the Road test.

I was informed that there will be waiting period for the classes to start however once it starts it will be continuous and tests also will be simultaneously scheduled without any wait. Now literally EDI are saying next available slot for Road test is on 21st Feb which is very long!

The reason I have taken VIP Platinum class is to expedite the driving classes and the feasibility to complete during the weekends. Now this seems to be just like a regular package and where is the VIP service!?

My Road test was scheduled on 7th Feb 2022 at 8am. Due to morning school traffic I wasnt able to reach half an hour prior to the schedule, however I have reached at 8 am and checked on the platinum VIP room, where nobody was available and also checked with the general reception informing that I have the test at 8am and nobody is there in the VIP room, so the receptionist informed to wait as everyone will arrive at 8:15am, so I was waiting where the Lexus vehicle was parked as usual waiting for either the VIP room receptionist or examiner or someone to come and guide. Also at 8am I have called the VIP reception number +[protected] almost 5 times (no response). Later around 8:10-8:11am the receptionist of VIP section arrived and I asked him that nobody was available on call or at office and later after 10 to 15 mins they come and say the Examiner marked me absent as he did not see me at 8am.

Atleast I need to get a call or someone there to guide when it is the first time I am taking the road test right, we requested to complete it as there was time but they did not agree. Later I was informed that I had to wait in the VIP room which was not informed earlier! How can such experience be accepted when we have availed VIP service. From 2 days I am requesting the concerned person to speak to the Manager of Road test and book a slot for me but no response and just saying we are checking and will get back. It has now become really a tiresome and hassle process even though having the VIP package availed, how do you expect me to wait for another 2 weeks even though I was there at 8am with no one at EDI office to guide.

Request the concern to escalate the issue immediately and provide me with a slot immediately for road test within this week as during week days I need to take permission from my office to attend the same. I had already taken half a day off on 7th Feb for road test which was just wasted.

Request EDI to educate employees enrolling for the package collecting the huge amount to provide accurate details on the package and not make any other customer suffer.

Also I appreciate the training classes booked during Sundays by the EDI employees but waiting period for test is not acceptable even though I was there for the test, being marked absent and then asking to wait dosent sound to be a VIP package.

Also be informed that I had international license and have driven in Dubai for a period of more than 3 months and have also got feedback from my trainers that my driving is good. Have booked a new car and was expecting to receive my driving license on 7th Feb and proceed with the documentation, however because of all this it is now stuck. I have already explained all this to the concerned team in EDI.

Appreciate your quick response in this regard and hoping to get a call back or revert with the road test schedule within this week so that I can take permission/holiday from my workplace.
