I had a 2005 v-thunder which was a huge pile of crap. Vento replaced it with a 2006 v-thunder xl. Better bike but still had problems. I put around 5000 miles on it and the declutching lever broke. I can't get the part to fix the bike from Vento or any other place. I now need a primary drive clutch hub as well to get this thing up and running. Oh bye the...

I (licensed motorcycle dealer) waited NINE months for a clutch for a Vento V-Thunder, then waited another TWO MONTHS for a crankshaft assembly and counting...I give up, Im tired of it sitting in my shop waiting for parts. All together the customer I was repairing this motorcycle for got to ride the motorcycle a...

Vento Vento SUCKS

This is my second complaint here about Chinese importers. My first complaint was about Sunl, and believe it or not Sunl has really gotten their business in shape since I posted my original complaint about them. Im not a Vento dealer, nor will I EVER be a Vento dealer. I thank God I never entertained handling their products. I had another dealer here in town warn me that you can NEVER get parts for them. They handled Vento scooters once and had nothing but mad customers over them. I really had NO personal knowledge of the company myself till last November...yes, November 2008. I ordered a clutch for a customers V-Thunder and waited NINE MONTHS for that clutch to arrive. I was SO sick of that motorcycle sitting in my shop I could have screamed. The customer had been trying for several months himself to get that clutch before he brought it to me. After we got his clutch and repaired his motorcycle, he sold it. The motorcycle had 58 miles on it when he brought it in. It shelled the clutch through the engine cover. Id NEVER seen a clutch fail so catastrophicly...EVER. I dont know how that happened without SERIOUS injury to the rider. The engine case had holes from the size of ping pong balls to the size of a dime where the clutch came through the case. NO warranty either. The customer said the rep he talked to in California laughed at him about replacement parts.
Same motorcycle, only now with 342 miles on the odometer. New problem...crankshaft siezed. New customer stated at about 50 mph motorcycle just stopped running. I started trying to order the parts to fix this motorcycle on 10-03-09. FINALLY I get my order placed for a crankshaft kit on 11-10-09, on 11-21-09 the rep from Vento called me to tell me my parts would arrive the Monday or Tuesday before Thanksgiving. My credit card was billed for the parts on 11-18-09. Today 12-08-09 I called (and several emails ) for the 3rd time to inquire about the status on my order, only to have the owner of the company tell me "Customers like you we just refund your money to". I'll be in shock over that comment for some time. He wont have a chance to refund anything to me. I called the credit card company and had the charge taken off my credit card. He talked to me like the motorcycle I was working on was my personal machine...HA...NOT EVER.
I'll also be contacting the Better Business Bureau about his business...or lack of. I understand Vento USA as a company is moving to Mexico...the move wont make it a better company.
I have NEVER dealt with a company with less regard for their customers than Vento SUCKS USA. I only wished that b*st*rd had told me he normally refunds money to "Customers like me" after he's had my money for a couple of months. Lets not forget about MY customer who paid for these parts TWO MONTHS AGO, and has been very very patiently waiting for those parts since then. I'll let Sammy at Vento explain WHY he has NO regard for HIS customer.
For those people considering buying a chinese scooter, Id run like hell from ANY Vento dealer. The dealer may be a sure enough good dealer, but if he cant get parts to fix the product it's out of his control.
Vento REALLY hypes the V-Thunder...it's a turd...period. If you have ANY questions concerning Vento, you can reach me at [protected]. Im a FULL service motorcycle dealer who is SICK of chinese importers who conduct their business this way. If they cant get their [censored] straight, get your [censored] back to China, and take that junk with you...sell it in China. If they want to take advantage of someone, why dont they go back to China and take advantage of someone they may be related to !
If I was within a reasonable drive, Id adjust his attitude about "Customers like me" who just have my customers interest at heart
