Deceipt
My daughter, a college student, bought a car. I signed the loan for her. Car turned out to be a lemon and she returned it. Lender announced they incurred a loss of $9000. They agreed to negotiate with my daughter. We reached an agreement on a payment schedule. Lender delayed action for weeks and months and never sent us the paperwork. Lender sent loan to collection increasing the balance to $14000. Collector has accelerated the debt. We propose that we were wronged by the lender: My daughter has names and dates she discussed repayment and their agreement to the original terms. Lender associates did not share information between them; and to our inquires, they've just "pass the buck." Lender's collection action was unnecessary and onerous to us.
Privacy
When I E-mailed Customer Service at Vantage West Credit Union regarding the status of my account a Representative sent me an attatchment of the letter that was apparantly sent to my address. However when I opend this attatchment I found coppies of the letter that were addressed to 441 people including myself. The letters contained over 400 customers Name and Addresses. This is a sever breach of banking privacy. I highly advise that you do not open accounts with them. As well even consider closing an existing account.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
A fraudulent test message
A fraudulent test message (SMiShing scam), with a message claiming to have been sent from Vantage West Credit Union was sent out to random cellular phone numbers. The message stated that there was a "security problem" and urged the recipient to call a fraudulent phone number [protected] or another number provided) in order to reactivate a debit or credit...
