UTO Vacation package

I first ordered a UTO vacation package on August 14, 2019 and due to COVID 19 had to reschedule several times. That was OK as it was beyond their control. However, after re-scheduling several times and paying more money in advance each time for new trips that cost more money than the original (they of course did not have the same trip available at the same price), I finally scheduled an Asian trip for two (my son and I). It is schedule to depart Oct. 18, 2023 with the final added payment of $400 due July 20, 2023. The trip sub-total was $2294 per their invoice for which I paid $1894 and they said I owed another $400?. I did a chat and called them July 13, 2023 and asked why I did not see a message that the final payment was upcoming. They stated my final payment was late and the trip was cancelled due to that. They said it the final $400 payment (of over $2000) was due April 21, 2023. I said I never received notice the final payment date changed or why. I checked all my search history and all folders (including spam) and the final notice I got from them was confirming my rescheduled trip due to leave October 18, 2023 with the final payment due July 20, 2023. Their reply was, "you are late and your trip was cancelled for not following the payment rules". I did follow the rules and fine print and they failed to advise me they changed the final payment date (I have proof) and why it was changed. This company is trying to steal my money after holding it for four years. I asked for a manager or supervisor and they refused to transfer me to anyone. So, as of now I am out $1894 out of pocket and they will not allow us to take the vacation package. They offered (again) to give us a credit voucher for another (likely more pricey) trip (which we have had several) and could not get on them due to their restrictions. I am not inclined to get another voucher, pay them more money, and lose that as well. I think this is criminal what they are doing to me and others.

UTO China tour

The tour that Travelzoo promoted was sold to us during China's zero Covid policy. The up sale of tours were also sold to us during the China's zero Covid policy. The tour was even re-offered by Travelzoo after we paid for tour and add ons. Now we are told that because of the zero Covid policy, we cannot take the tour to China that we paid for. UTO refuses to refund our money, but will only issue travel credit. The other UTO tours are ridiculously expensive. Why is Travelzoo aiding UTO in this bait and switch scam?
