This Company took £19.99 from me to Legally change my Granddaughters Surname ..They were told her age of 15 years old...therefor she is a minor...we got two scrappy bits of flimsy paper back with a stamp of sorts in one corner and were told to sign and date this...we did this and then contacted this company again to ask about sending them back for them to obviously forward them on to the relevant Government Dept for it to be registered...we were told that we didn't have to send them back or for them to be registered anywhere...we repeated that she was a minor but still they said no just use it as it is...WARNING ...all minors must have their surnames registered...DO NOT let these people scam the general public anymore...please be aware of them...I have reported to the Trading Standards Office and they ask if anyone else has been scammed by these people to get in touch with them...without complaints they can't prosecute them!

You're completely incorrect. A child's deed of change of name doesn't have to be registered to be effective, the same as a deed of change of name for an adult. You've clearly misinterpreted the information on the gov.uk website, and you should feel somewhat embarrassed by your ignorance.
