National Sales Group SCAM

All the same complaints everyone else posted. They said they would charge me $29 and charged $98. They do not refund your initial $29 but they will not even tell you this. Furthermore, they will send you a book which you then have to return if you want a refund, even though you never ordered such a book, and then pay more money to return this simplistic book on sales. You have to fill out some strange form they send you in the book package and pay more money to send it back. They also will not tell you that they are charging you another $15 or more per month. They also NEVER sent me the pre-screeing kit they told me about for the $29 they initially charged me. When I called them to received a full refund, they told me that they do not do this. I told a lady manager that I demanded this refund immediately since they have not done anything for me and I have yet to utilize even their service. She told me flat out "you cannot tell me what to do and simply hung up on me". The most unprofessional customer service I have yet to encounter and very clearly indicative of scam artists. Any reputable company would never speak to a client in this fashion. Furthermore, all jobs are the same for all counties and cities in my State of Florida when I looked at what was available on their site. The pharmaceutical sales jobs they deceive you with do not exist and there are very few job postings, unlike the "tons' they tell you are available in pharma sales. If you want a reputable pharma sales job, please go to www.napsronline.org. This is the way to get in, not with these scam artists. They truly need to be shut down from all job sites.

They leave message they have a Pharma job for you after you applied on careerbuilder.com. They do not have jobs, they want your 29 dollars to do nothing. Do not give these scammers your money.

It sounded legitimate until she asked me for $29 processing fee? I said I would go to the website where I could make a payment securely, and her remark was that they didn't process payments through the website? This is a RED FLAG! VeriSign, PayPal, or Truste are all legitimate and secure ways to process payments.

This company advertises on Career Builder and other such sites. Many times masking their ad as a company with a position of employment. I was initially sucked into it. They ask for a credit card number to cover a $29 charge to enroll the person into their program. I stupidly agreed to it, but that was the only charge I agreed to. They also tell you that they have a sales course for a fee among other charges. They will also hit the credit card for $13 or $14 a month. I called the credit card company about the $29 charge only to find it was $96. The charge was pending and I was able to get the card company to put a stop on it. I was lucky. Many haven't been and most probably are people without jobs and can't afford it.

I was looking for a job and was promised a pharmaceutical job in two weeks...I didn't receive my material in the two weeks. After I reviewed the information on the internet, it was all the postings that were on Career Builder, Monster, etc. I called and cancelled my membership the same day. Needless to say, I was still charged $97 for materials. But wait, it gets better...I returned my materials to receive my full credit on my credit card. It has since been over six months, I have not seen the reimbursement to my credit card. Total scam. Not only am I out the materials, I am also out the $97.

National Sales Group They are liars!

They charged me $38 and said that once I complete 2 forms and send them back to their offices, they will start working on my behalf. I sent in the two forms and have gotten absolutely nothing from them except a lot of terrible customer service.

The truth is that the two forms you submit to them only serve as their protection. These two forms are their way of saying "we have made contact with you, and this is our proof that we have provided a service to you."

I know this for a fact because I tried to call my bank to do a chargeback. My bank could not honor it because of what I just mentioned.

Once they get these two forms signed by you, it's pretty much over. They really do not give you an advantage into getting into a job. They claim that they have a recruiter who is working on your behalf, trying to market you to different employers, yet they won't give you the recruiter's name or information. They won't let you talk to them. For all you know they could be lying.

That is the extent of the help they will offer you.

They will also lie to you over the phone. Never in writing of course.

Today I just spoke with someone in customer service asking why I still haven't gotten any leads after signing up with them a month ago. The rep said that they only received only one of the forms back. That was a bald face lie because, not only do I have a fax receipt verifying that both forms I sent to them at the same time went through, but they sent me an email saying that they received both forms. The rep had no rebuttal after that. I stopped her dead in her tracks.

When I signed up with NSG, they said that most of their customers get interviews within 4 weeks. It's been over a month, and I haven't even had one job lead from them.

I found myself scammed by this company (stupid me) and paid the $29.00 service fee as well as the $9.90 shipping and handling fee of the packet they were going to mail. The guy on the other end of the phone told me to go to the website and sign up "right away to get this moving along". I went to Google to look up the company and noticed this complaint board. After reading all of the complaints, I realized I had been scammed! So, when I went to the login page and signed in, the first page is a list of rules...if you DON'T click the box saying you agree, you can call them and demand a refund. I just got off the phone with them and I will be getting a full refund, no questions asked. If you did click the box, I am not certain whether it will be easy to get a refund! Don't fall for this as I have found job listings on my own in my area!
Good luck!

signed up for their job board and recruiting help. they charged me 26.00 and then told me it was actually 38.00 after billing. they tried to sell me a book to make the total $98.00 I said no on the book.
then when I received the web access job link with the user ID and password I realized the jobs they
had listed were just junk. nothing real there.. jobs that stated they would start in Jan 2017 etc.
I called to cancel in less than 48 hours but they would not agree to cancel saying they had already sent out the documents for me to sign.

also they charge a reoccuring monthly amount on your charge card so i have to change that number too.

bad folks.. stay away friends!

This company is a complete scamming preying off of those who are unemployed. The registration fee of $37 basically just feeds you job listings you can get on your own from carrerbuilder.com or monster.com. Where they really get you - and I am assuming you get your $ off of - is for a $59 "Mastering the Art of the Sale" book you are also required to buy. This is an absolute piece of garbage. It is completely basic information that is in a huge font as to make it into book size. They state verbally in your first phone call that you have 30 days to cancel and return the book and that is the only time it is mentioned. when I called and cancelled within the 30 days the book nor the address to mail it to was never mentioned and I got stuck with this thing.

I recieved a call from a number [protected] and when I picked up a recording started about a job in the pharmacuetical industry and that if I am interested to call the HR department by pressing 1. I press 1 and got a rep by the name of Mark Gibson stating that he would like my email to send some information via email to get my profiled created. He mentioned that I had to pay a 29.95 fee for a profile screening before major fortune 500 companies would consider looking at me. He promised me that once I create the file, pay the fee, then he will get some interviews set up. He also mentioned that the recruiters will have their people prep you for the interview. He sounded fishy because when I asked why I had to pay for a background screening for a job history, he stated it was a one time fee for a pre-screening not background check. I come from a background check company and know that the fortune 500 companies do not do a prescreening. A background is the first thing to be done and it is the employer's cost not the employees cost. Be aware. It is sad to see these types of scams on people who are really looking for a job. Good luck and be careful. If it sounds too good to be true, it isn't.

The agent answered the phone and started asking me questions while I read the complaint board. He finally ask me for my credit or debit card number. I responded I do not give it out with out checking you out first. He could not have gotten off the phone quick enough, he almost hung up on me. THANKS FOR EVERYONES HEADS UP.

I was one of most likely many people who fell for this scam, I was a sucker, signed up for the so called service, they claimed to have a sales position available to which I applied for, but before I applied for it, I have to purchase this information where they were to mail me couple of forms where I was to fill out and fax them back, well, I never received the forms, which I paid for the shipping by the way, then I had to call and ask for the forms that were right there and then they emailed to me.. (So shipping was not required and I should not have paid for), then I proceeded to fill out, sign and fax back to them.. Now it has been over two weeks and I have not yet heard any thing from them.. BIG SCAM..THIEVES..

This company gets your resume off of Career Builder & tries to get you to "register" with them so they can place you with pharmeceutical/medical sales companies within 2 weeks...only 29.95...right...and can you take care of that today. I declined, thankfully saying go ahead with the email you said you were sending (& of couse never received anything)..I will review your info and proceed if I feel comfortable. They have an F rating with the Better Business Bureau. Why the authorities have not shut them down already is a mystery! I googled their name and could not even begin to wade though all of the complaints. I contacted Career Builder & filed a complaint and also The Federal Trade Commission & after you vent on this website, I encourage you to do the same...otherwise many more people will be take advantage of.

NSG, NATIONAL SALES GROUP, IN MY OWN OPINION, IS A RIP OFF, A FRAUD, A SCAM, ILLEGITIMATE, UNETHICAL, FILTHY LIARS, THIEFS, IN MY OWN OPINION. PLEASE READ ON.

*******legally, and by the way, i can legally state ANY opinion, but i can NOT make an overreaching, generalized statement about a person or company. legally, anyone can say, write, publish, tweet, post and and print their own personal opinions and experiences.****** PLEASE READ ON.

contacted by DAN, of national sales group, NSG, who left a message, on october 1, 2017, 10/1/2017, i was asked to call HIM, dan, back, regarding a sales application i "allegedly" submitted on i suppose careerbuilder.com or monster.com, the ONLY 2 search engines i use.

well, fact, i did not, and have not submitted, in several years.

why do i know this?

because after applying all the large, medium sized and small companies for many years, and never getting a response, i have not applied to any pharma or pharmaceutical or medical device companies in over 2/two years.

i can and have easily used google, and i have applied to maybe 10 different pharma companies in the past via direct web sites or monster or careerbuilder, and/or directly, but i have never received interest or a response from them or an interview. not one, never. i am over 30, a college graduate, and have a 4 year degree from a legitimate, brick and mortar university, which is nationally accredited, and is in the college and university pull down menu in all of the companies i have applied to on their web sites.

my major was in the school of business and public administration department, NOT in biology, not chemistry, nor in life sciences. biology or chemistry are 99% a requirement for pharma jobs, i have noticed. also, i have NO prior pharma or medical device sales experience. i do have exclusively outside sales experience.

my opinion, and observations, in seeing medical device reps and pharma reps when i have been in any of my doctor's office waiting rooms, in my whole life, is they only hire very, very young, good looking boys and girls UNDER 25 years old, period. which also would be recent college grads who could easily be male or female models. i am not ugly or fat. i am just not 25 and i am not a male model.

source: my eyes.

i see this when i notice them in parking lots with their rolling briefcases, samples in their hands, or in the building down stairs lobbys, or in the elevators with their name tags on. i have seen this my whole life. i have seen this when i notice them speaking to the office staff in doctor's offices and actually when they meet with doctors in the hallways of the doctor's offices.

anyway, i called DAN of national sales group, NSG, back 10/1/2101, october 1, 2017, and DAN is NOT available. stephanie, of national sales group, NSG, says, who answers the phone after a 5/five minute wait on hold, DAN is just an someone who calls people, and is not available, and she does not have any information why DAN called me.

ok, fine.

then, i asked specific, detailed questions.

fact: stephanie of national sales group, NSG, told me there was no SPECIFIC position, but that i would have to pay a $29.00 web hosting fee. also, i would have to pay for my own background check. i asked her if this was just a "drift net" to call prospects, or if they had a specific job match in mind.

stephanie did NOT answer my questions directly, and said she did not know, as DAN called me. it was if DAN worked on the moon or something. but stephanie was very, very friendly, by the way. let me repeat, stephanie was very nice on the phone.

i did NOT ask about any other national sales group, NSG, fees, be they monthly, or ala carte, in the present or future, as i was suspicious.

i did NOT ask if there were other fees to "work" with their placement employees, recruiters, etc., as i was suspicious.

so, here it goes. national sales group, NSG, in my own opinion, is a scam, a fraud, a rip off, a cheat.

i have applied and worked for fortune 500 companies, and have never been asked to pay for my own background check. i have never achieved employment due to my paying for a recruiter asking me to pay for my resume to be posted on line, web hosted or using web hosting. ummmmm. email seems to work just fine in my experience.

so, again, fact, i did NOT recently apply for a pharma job, and national sales group, NSG, is just fishing for suckers to rip off money from, in my own opinion.

THERE WAS NEVER A JOB. JUST A REQUEST FOR WEB HOSTING FEE. I NEVER APPLIED FOR A PHARMA JOB, AND THEY STATED I DID. THEY ARE LIARS AND CHEATS AND FRAUDS AND SCAMMERS AND DIRTY FILTHY [censor], IN MY OPINION.

i live in los angeles, ca.

if there are typos, i apologize, as i tried to check for them, and do not feel like spending hours reviewing this document.

This seems to be a scam, when they asked for my credit card number i bailed. T'hink about it. In a job market where it is impossible to even get an interview for a decent job unless you know somebody this company is practically guaranteeing multiple interviews for good jobs. It sounds too good to be true and it is. Unfortunately, in this environment a lot of people are willing to try anything to get a job. Steer clear

National Sales Group Scam and cheating

This 'company' is a huge scam. They place dummy ads on Careerbuilder, Monster, and Hotjobs. When you try to apply to the job, you are told to call them as they are a recruiting firm. After a discussion with a 'sales rep, ' they tell you that they will create a profile for you and send out your resume to employers. You pay $36.00 and they send you a package in the mail that you are to sign and send back so they can create your profile. This money gives you a 30 day window to use the service. Firstly, they tell you that it will take 5-7 business days for this package to arrive. In the interim you are told to go online and create a job profile, upload your resume, and then look at the positions listed and you can apply to them. They are clear in telling you that the jobs online are far from the total that they reach out to with your resume. I went online and they had 3 open jobs for the area. They were all at least 3 weeks to month old. A week goes by and no package in the mail. I called and was told it is coming from Santa Barbara and will take a while. I wait another week and nothing. I call again, they say that it was mailed and verify my address once again. I threaten to call American Express and let them know that this is a scam. They then put a 'manager' on the phone. Within three minutes, the documents are in my email. They tell me to fax them back and it should take about 3 days to get me really started with job applications. They also gave me back the 2 weeks free as I complained that waiting on them was wasting my month. So i then fax the docs back. A week goes by and nothing. i then received 2 job specs and sent my resume. No responses at all from the 'employer' or 'NSG.' Be careful of this scam especially in a market when the unemployment rate is at 8.1%. They are a terrible entity and i am sure that others have be taken advantage of.

I agree with the previous posts. I was recently was contacted by this organization with the same gimmicks as everyone else here. I currently work in HR and immediately denied them my business as you ALL should. This company is a disgrace and is exploiting an already strained labor market. I see that many have contacted the BBB and so on. While that is great to hear, the only way to get anything done these days is public outcry not bureaucracy. We live in the era of tweets, blobs and text messages. People, leverage your social network against malicious companies like this. Tell your friends, your co workers, heck even tell the guy at McDonald's. Eventually word will spread that these guys are crooks and their scam will collapse.

so, here it goes. national sales group, NSG, in my own opinion, is a scam, a fraud, a rip off, a cheat.

i have applied and worked for fortune 500 companies, and have never been asked to pay for my own background check. i have never achieved employment due to my paying for a recruiter asking me to pay for my resume to be posted on line, web hosted or using web hosting. ummmmm. email seems to work just fine in my experience.

so, again, fact, i did NOT recently apply for a pharma job, and national sales group, NSG, is just fishing for suckers to rip off money from, in my own opinion.

All I can say for now is THANK GOD I read these letters, and while I was on the phone, I did a little investigating to see if the company is legitimate-and "googled" National Sales Group.. I turned them down, and continued my research for work. I agree if these guys are scam artists, they should be shut down and fined! It's unfortunate that there are companies are out there taking advantage of unemployed people trying to make an income for themselves and/or their families.

If someone charges your credit card without consent, simply dispute the charge. Real simple. If you didn't sign something, you automatically win. If you did, make sure that you send a letter or email canceling, then your CC company should not honor charges after that date.

I pity anyone absent minded enough to give a ccard to them when in the job world it is the employer who pays the employee not the other way around. The FTC states if a employer wants you to pay them money with a credit card to get the job run for the hills and never look back and file a complaint with them. Of course its a scam people.

I wish I would have checked this post before I gave them my CC. I agreed to the $36, was told the $59 "Sales Book" was optional, but of course was charged for a book that is worth sbout $3. Now I've been trying for a refund for two weeks. I sent them an e-mail threatening to contact the California AG, and it looks like I should go ahead with the threat. Anyone contact the authorities in California? What a bunch of frauds!

Yep, I experienced the same thing. I saw a posting from CareerBuilder, saw that there was a phone # and figured that I'd give it a shot considering I've had a tough time and I'm about to graduate from college.

So I call and this lady starts talkin to me, seems nice and all that but I was already confused about it b/c the description was vague and there is no physical location, so I was already suspicious but I played along. Then I ask her to tell me more about what they do and how it would benefit me. Finally, I started to understand what they were about and continued to play along.

She says that she's going to mail me some documents that'll be used as a pre-screening and that I should start to get phone interviews within 2-4 weeks. Then she said if I move on to the next step, the 3rd/4th interviews would be on site with the specific company.

Then she says I have to pay $29 and that's when I knew that it was a crock and it was bullcrap. The lady tried to act rude but I wouldn't have any of it. I'm only a college student but ###, I wasn't born yesterday either. I know these types of things happen and there are crooks out there.

So I made sure not to give any credit card information, even though I gave my name and email address, that shouldn't be a problem. I'm just glad I was smart enough to realize it.

I called concerning job postings in my area. When asked for a credit care I becomes wary. However, like a fool, I gave it to them. Read this website and called my credit card and cancelled
the transaction. I guess I thought career builders were legit. Now I know. How do we get these people off the net? Better Business Bureau does not seem to care.

Thank you to all who posted comments and complaints about this group. I Googled National Sales Group after refusing to give my credit card information over the phone, and found this site. You all just saved me a bunch of money! I also reported that "company" to Careerbuilder.com, so hopefully, they'll remove it from their listings.

National Sales Group Unauthorized charges

I called the National Sales Group once I answered an ad for Pharmacuetical Sales Representatives in CareerBuilder.com. To my dismay they wanted $35.90 to get me enrolled. Against my better judgment I authorized that amount on my card. I became concerned when the fax number did not work for me to fax back documents to them. However, later the fax number did work . I still was not sold so I looked on the [redacted] and read all of the complaints against the company. Prior to that no one has contacted me for a job. Also once I went back onto the website I noticed that it did not matter what city you entered into the job search they all had the same jobs. The same jobs have been there for a while. They do not change. I did not purchase the Sales booklet. Instead I canceled immediately. I was told I would get a confirmation via email. I am still waiting on it. I will let you kow how that pans out and pray my credit card is not billed additionally due to my 30 days deadline is 01/08/09. This site was not helpful. They were paid $35.90 for nothing...absolutely nothing!

NSG, NATIONAL SALES GROUP, IN MY OWN OPINION, IS A RIP OFF, A FRAUD, A SCAM, ILLEGITIMATE, UNETHICAL, FILTHY LIARS, THIEFS, IN MY OWN OPINION. PLEASE READ ON.

*******legally, and by the way, i can legally state ANY opinion, but i can NOT make an overreaching, generalized statement about a person or company. legally, anyone can say, write, publish, tweet, post and and print their own personal opinions and experiences.****** PLEASE READ ON.

contacted by DAN, of national sales group, NSG, who left a message, on october 1, 2010, 10/1/2010, i was asked to call HIM, dan, back, regarding a sales application i "allegedly" submitted on i suppose careerbuilder.com or monster.com, the ONLY 2 search engines i use.

well, fact, i did not, and have not submitted, in several years.

why do i know this?

because after applying all the large, medium sized and small companies for many years, and never getting a response, i have not applied to any pharma or pharmaceutical or medical device companies in over 2/two years.

i can and have easily used google, and i have applied to maybe 10 different pharma companies in the past via direct web sites or monster or careerbuilder, and/or directly, but i have never received interest or a response from them or an interview. not one, never. i am over 30, a college graduate, and have a 4 year degree from a legitimate, brick and mortar university, which is nationally accredited, and is in the college and university pull down menu in all of the companies i have applied to on their web sites.

my major was in the school of business and public administration department, NOT in biology, not chemistry, nor in life sciences. biology or chemistry are 99% a requirement for pharma jobs, i have noticed. also, i have NO prior pharma or medical device sales experience. i do have exclusively outside sales experience.

my opinion, and observations, in seeing medical device reps and pharma reps when i have been in any of my doctor's office waiting rooms, in my whole life, is they only hire very, very young, good looking boys and girls UNDER 25 years old, period. which also would be recent college grads who could easily be male or female models. i am not ugly or fat. i am just not 25 and i am not a male model.

source: my eyes.

i see this when i notice them in parking lots with their rolling briefcases, samples in their hands, or in the building down stairs lobbys, or in the elevators with their name tags on. i have seen this my whole life. i have seen this when i notice them speaking to the office staff in doctor's offices and actually when they meet with doctors in the hallways of the doctor's offices.

anyway, i called DAN of national sales group, NSG, back 10/1/2101, october 1, 2010, and DAN is NOT available. stephanie, of national sales group, NSG, says, who answers the phone after a 5/five minute wait on hold, DAN is just an someone who calls people, and is not available, and she does not have any information why DAN called me.

ok, fine.

then, i asked specific, detailed questions.

fact: stephanie of national sales group, NSG, told me there was no SPECIFIC position, but that i would have to pay a $29.00 web hosting fee. also, i would have to pay for my own background check. i asked her if this was just a "drift net" to call prospects, or if they had a specific job match in mind.

stephanie did NOT answer my questions directly, and said she did not know, as DAN called me. it was if DAN worked on the moon or something. but stephanie was very, very friendly, by the way. let me repeat, stephanie was very nice on the phone.

i did NOT ask about any other national sales group, NSG, fees, be they monthly, or ala carte, in the present or future, as i was suspicious.

i did NOT ask if there were other fees to "work" with their placement employees, recruiters, etc., as i was suspicious.

This company is not the only one who charges a fee to distribute your resume. Look at The Ladders; they don't keep your resume on file unless you agree to pay some outrageous fees. Same with Jobvertise, MedReps, and SalesMag.
Since I have been unemployed for almost 10 months, I don't have the funds to give these vampires. When I spoke to National Sales Group, I made it crystal clear that I would not pay any fees. They issues my user id and password. When I went to the website to sign in, the website was not functioning.

YES! I wish I would have found this site before agreeing to pay for the $36.90. In fact, my card was given a pre-authorization for the full $90, which included the sales book that they were touting, which I really did not want. I immediately called the client support number at [protected] in order to cancel my agreement and to get my money credited back to my card. They said that they would be able to that and gave me a confirmation number. They told me to look for the credit after midnight tonight, since it was a same day cancellation. I immediately cancelled my debit card and asked for a new one so that they can't do further damage in the future. I hope I did it in time! I will post later to let everyone know about the outcome. I should have known better, but when you are looking for a job and someone tells you what you want to hear, your intuition is left screaming in the back of your mind. ANYTIME ANYONE ASKS YOU FOR MONEY WHILE LOOKING FOR A JOB, DON'T DO IT! THAT'S THE SCAM!

I had the same experience. I've done some real research on this company since the call. BBB gives them an F, their lowest possible rating, and just in the Santa Barbara area, where they are located, have over 100 significant complaints about them. DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY! I read hundreds of complaints about them on just one message board, and am working my way through the rest. These people are unscrupulous and evil, taking money from people in this economy, who are desperate and looking for work. Check them out here:

National Sales Group Total Scam!!!

This company advertises top B2B sales positionls on websites such as Monster.com. I was one of the suckers that actually called them only to find out that they are posing as a recruiter. They say that they represent thousands of employers with thousands of jobs available. I agreed to let them charge my credit card $37 so I could view these jobs. It only get worse from there! I recieved my credit card statement and they charged me a total of $97 which was never authorized. This company does not offer any service that you need. My father is an Indiana State Senator and I will be using all of his connections to get this SCAM shut down.

I had a solicitation from this company and the person calling (?) left their name and number. I called back and that person doesn't work there, it is just a key to their screening process. That they admitted. He said that the companies that they work for require a pre-screening process before they submit names for recruiting. Pulled my info off of Monster or Career Builder. I told him that I wasn't not paying them $29, without a review of their contract (I pulled this website up, while talking to this person - thank you). He said he will give it to me in writing, but I first had to give them the $29 right now to cover shipping and handling of the prescreening package. What company doesn't have the capability of sending it email or having it on their website to download from? This sounded like a total scam and I think Complaintsboard.com once again. Keep up the good work people.

These people do absolutely nothing for you! They claim to have all of these job listings that will be sent to you after you give them the $29.00 up front, then fill out everything online. I have seen nothing but the same 4 job listings for my area since June 25, and today is August 9! None of the 4 are even in my job category that I filled out in the beginning of the process. Watch out when you log onto the website too, they will say that when you log on, you agreed to the ongoing $13.71 per month they will charge you unless you call them to cancel. It's a total scam...DON"T FALL FOR IT!

Telemarketed me after obtaining my name off of Career Builder web site. Claimed that for the price of a pizza they would get me a six figure position. I approved a $ 38.90 charge to my credit card that tuned into a $97 charge that was not authorized.
I called their customer support line after complaining to my bank and stopping payment against my card and they said that they would refund my money, the stop transaction occured within 72 hours of their "signing me up."

So I get a message from "Dan" this morning on my phone about a possible position for pharmaceutical sales. This message sounded like a recorded message disguised as a personal call. I call him back and talk to David ext 480. After telling him I have ZERO sales experience he wants to charge me $29 to process my paperwork to get me "connected" with companies. He then asks for my credit card info. IMMEDIATE red flag. I then inform him I worked as a technical recruiter for a few months and we only charged the hiring company upon finding their qualified candidate so I didn't understand the $29 fee. He was silent for a few seconds then started blabbing about how they can't do anything till the "pre-screening" is completed, which is part of the 29. I then ask for the name of the company he is working for and tell him I'm cautious because there are a bunch of companies taking advantage of the unemployed right now. Once again, SILENCE. I told him I would call back after I did some research and I found this page. What a joke.

Thank you everyone for making me aware of this false company. I also received a voicemail from "Dan" and when I called back I spoke with "Mya". She asked me about my experience in business and said I was a good fit. At first I totally fell for it and would have given her my credit card information but I was in the middle of a meeting and needed to call her back. She then changed her tone and got very aggressive in demanding that I give her my information immediately. I then knew it was a scam and wanted to research this company. It is very frustrating that these companies exist...

I just rec'd a voicemail from "Dan" also. I called and got the hold music, and then started googling, quickly landing on this site. So I hung up and went no further. Likely a scam. This is the 5th or 6th time a scam artist has pulled my resume from CareerBuilder or Monster and contacted me. It's very frustrating as a job seeker to have to weed through this crap.

The woman who called me was so fast and slick, I couldn't understand how easy it was to discover there are bunches of pharmaceutical sales jobs through NSG, when I hadn't seen very many openings posted in all the usual places. She zipped right into asking me which credit card I wanted to use to pay the intial "fee" of $29. Whaaaaat? Me pay you? For what!Thankfully I remembered the caveat about giving out a card number over the telephone to someone you don't even know.

"For what kind of employment course guide? Can I be reimbursed or get my fee refunded? Are you guaranteeing an interview for me within two weeks!? Who is this, that I'm giving out my credit card number to?"

Folks, those are the questions I came up with when I sensed a speedy Red Flag. At least "Elizabeth" at NSG told me, "You seem a bit hesitant, and this interview is taking too long, and I have other calls to answer." (I wonder how long it'll take her to stay at her job, once her self-guilt kicks in! One day she'll be on "20/20", talking about this rip-off of unlucky people.)

Besides all of this, I looked at NSG's website and saw NO NAMES on the "Contact Us" page. The CEO is the author of a guide the company uses -- and his name is not even revealed?! And top management has "40 years" of experience in this profession. This is an unusually short amount of time when you're talking about three or four or five management types. RED FLAGS, Everybody! Report these thieves! Shame on CareeerBuilder and Monster for not doing a better screening job themselves!

Good Luck and Beware, to all my fellow unemployed Americans out there! The employment picture WILL get better!

anyway, i called DAN of national sales group, NSG, back 10/1/2101, october 1, 2010, and DAN is NOT available. stephanie, of national sales group, NSG, says, who answers the phone after a 5/five minute wait on hold, DAN is just an someone who calls people, and is not available, and she does not have any information why DAN called me.

ok, fine.

then, i asked specific, detailed questions.

fact: stephanie of national sales group, NSG, told me there was no SPECIFIC position, but that i would have to pay a $29.00 web hosting fee. also, i would have to pay for my own background check. i asked her if this was just a "drift net" to call prospects, or if they had a specific job match in mind.

stephanie did NOT answer my questions directly, and said she did not know, as DAN called me. it was if DAN worked on the moon or something. but stephanie was very, very friendly, by the way. let me repeat, stephanie was very nice on the phone.

i did NOT ask about any other national sales group, NSG, fees, be they monthly, or ala carte, in the present or future, as i was suspicious.

i did NOT ask if there were other fees to "work" with their placement employees, recruiters, etc., as i was suspicious.

so, here it goes. national sales group, NSG, in my own opinion, is a scam, a fraud, a rip off, a cheat.

i have applied and worked for fortune 500 companies, and have never been asked to pay for my own background check. i have never achieved employment due to my paying for a recruiter asking me to pay for my resume to be posted on line, web hosted or using web hosting. ummmmm. email seems to work just fine in my experience.

so, again, fact, i did NOT recently apply for a pharma job, and national sales group, NSG, is just fishing for suckers to rip off money from, in my own opinion.
