Initially I thought this could be a helpful tool, however when they falsely claimed I was related to an individual in another part of the state they would not correct it. I asked them 3 times to correct it with no response. Instead they use fear of your reputation as a way to get you to pay for their "services". Manipulations like this need to stop.
STALKER ALERT!
STALKER ALERT! This website allows anyone to *** about you, clone you and then send a copy cat negative version of you out into the world. My FAKE profile stated that I left my children because I was a drug addict by a woman who will have sex with your husband, brother, cousin, wife, father, mother and program director just to brag about obtaining NAME BRAND sunglasses she looks like a blind rat in.

It gives you basic info, but if you want more in-depth info you have to pay for the next level. It was very easy to cancel.

I joined MyLife to search for a missing relative
I joined MyLife to search for a missing relative. The information I learned was beyond just helpful. I have recommended MyLife to many friends. My search included many sites on Facebook, and I always mentioned MyLife and how incredibly helpful it was. Thank you
I signed up for a $1 trial back in Jan
I signed up for a $1 trial back in Jan. 2020, cancelled within the appropriate time frame. Even received a "confirmation number" from the customer service rep. Almost 3 months later my credit card was charged for a $59.95 6 month "subscription" that I never signed up for. Tried to call and cancel, spent 30 minutes on hold on the phone, was "the next caller in line" (according to their phone system), only to get disconnected (hung up on). I called back the next business day earlier in the day, got the exact same response from their phone system (hung up on again, right before being answered). I called back a third time, finally pressed a different menu option, for "existing members" to be able to speak with someone, and they were able to answer my call after about 7 minutes. She "apologized" for the unknown charges, and said she would refund the charges on my credit card, but she didn't have a clear answer as to why it was charged in the first place, especially after I called a few months earlier to cancel.
Buyer beware proceed with caution...
They, themselves, are changing information about me and I called them telling them I do not want any information about me on there and that I have some stalkers and are not on good terms with very corrupt law enforcement which have family members that have robbed me and told me I would never get help from their law enforcement agency. I want all of my information removed they tried to make me pay to get it removed. If I have to contact a lawyer then I'll be suing them.
Got a random email stating I have urgent court documents and that my scout is a 1. What does that even mean!? I work for the government in law enforcement so I think I would know if I have any legal issues. I've never signed up with this company or heard of it. Somehow they have my name and birthday. They also have so called "acquaintances" yet I've never heard of any of those people in my life. If you trust this company than there is something seriously wrong with you. Horrible.
They are still engaging in negative option marketing tactics! About a year ago I contacted My Life about having my name used on the internet search engine (JULY ) with references as "find out the real truth about this person and how you'll be shocked" with my life website .com being listed below. I contacted them about this and their link with my name and it was removed. Imagine my surprise when I googled my name and found the same link again (a year later) using the same negative marketing language about me. This time I paid for the search on myself and when it processed from the negative link it provided about me, that I paid for, it did not provide any results what so ever. I called them yesterday again and was informed that I would receive a refund but the fee was still deducted. I called them yet again today and for some strange reason the rep I spoke to informed me that I paid for a membership (that I did not) and goes on about how they can help me to get negative information on the internet about me removed. I replied that My Life is the only site slandering my name once again and they are the only website I need any help with removing the false and slanderous click bait for profit being used about me. Once again they offered to refund me for my "Membership" after the website took my money for a background check on myself that failed to produce any advertised results concerning their allegations to find out the real and shocking truth about me. Next time I see this I'll be sure to screen shot it before they can remove it so I can provide that proof to the FTC. Had I known about the lawsuit the FTC filed against My Life I would have filed that complaint with some screen shots.
Obviously, I am singing to the choir about this company, MYLife. I was fraudulently charged for services I did not order and have reported it as fraud to my bank. But I don't understand how this company is still in business and how they can falsely advertise a solid reputation and business standing. I should have known better.
I have signed up in the past to correct false information, however am not willing to do so again
I have signed up in the past to correct false information, however am not willing to do so again. I started to get almost daily emails telling me to check who is looking at my background and that there are damaging items that need to be fixed, which can be done by signing up. All for a fee, of course. In effect, this company is blackmailing people by posting an opinion of your reputation and making it publicly available. The only way to fix it or privatize some info is to pay for a membership and keep subscribing. All of my "relatives" listed are from a prior marriage (divorced 17 years), several of those listed died years ago. Zero of the "known associates and neighbors" listed that "damage" my reputation are known to me, and that's just the start. I contacted customer service to have my profile removed and pointed out false info, as of today have not received a reply. Not sure how this is legal. If I will be contacted by customer service to correct the information on the profile, get it privatized or removed without having to pay a fee and it stays private for let's say a year, will happily remove this review.
Horrible! Trying to get my profile removed and when I call they try to change the conversation. They have been NO help! I want my profile completely removed!
The information provided by MyLife is grossly incomplete. I queried myself and found MyLife had little knowledge of my education, work history, prior and current residences, financial status, relationships, contacts. etc. MyLife knew very little about myself albeit I am a simple and easy person to gain knowledge about. MyLife asks you to update the data they have on you rather than gain the knowledge themselves. Sorry, that is not what not I paid for. Additionally, I queried a few persons I know well and the information provided by MyLife was grossly incomplete. MyLife gets an "F" rating on the information they know about these individuals. Further, MyLife added an addition cost of $14.95? I have not a clue what this charge relates to, but I plan to challenge. In summary, my assessment is MyLife is the scam company and should be monitored by the ComplaintsBoard.com (ComplaintsBoard.com) and shut down! How can such a business remain in business! Come on ComplaintsBoard.com, do your job and shut this this company down!
I have had my "profile" (that was generated by THEM without my knowledge) removed SEVERAL times. Every time, I have explained that I have legal reasons to keep the information they have posted inaccessible to the internet. Some of it is not public information but they have made it public, including a photo of me as a minor that is not published anywhere online. Said photo was deleted many years ago from a private social media account. I have been a victim of stalking many times in the past, and now their "public information" is putting my children in danger. No matter how many times I have had these profiles removed through them, they put it back up a few months later. Mylife = disgusting vultures. Victims of stalking, domestic violence, and other crimes shouldn't have to worry about how easily accessible VERY HARD TO FIND information is on this site. Nowhere else (other than Mylife) in any internet search have I found every last bit of information about myself that is concealed from the general public everywhere else. I really wish this was illegal. Tl;dr: they won't really remove your profile. They'll wait until you believe it's gone and then replace it.. even if you've expressed concern as a victim of domestic violence and stalking, and your abuser used their site to find you.
Well you know I was minding my own business when I started getting emails from these idiots that claim that they were you know helping me out with my reputation. Well little did they know there is also a Des Moines in Washington State. Which I'm sure many people east of the Mississippi don't know that. But when you're in California you should have some idea. It's by Seattle right I don't think California is that far away from us. Anyway I thought it was kind of stupid first off that they didn't know that there was a Des Moines in Washington. When you know that's their effing job to figure out well you know where do people live. I mean that's obvious you would obviously figure out well there's two of the same towns. Like Portland Maine and Portland Oregon right so if you don't know what state you're looking at. Or if you don't know that there's more than one *** in the United States you know you might be having a problem.
Stay away from this site because it is a scam
Stay away from this site because it is a scam. If I could give negative stars I would... In December I signed up for the $1 trial and within minutes was charged another $99.90. I called and after being on hold for over 30 minutes I finally got someone who barely spoke English and had to go around in circles with them explaining that I had only wanted the trial but got charged the extra, finally got my refund and supposedly she canceled the account so that I wouldn't get charged again. Low and behold 3 months later in March I got a notification from my card that I was charged another $99.90. I tried emailing them but got no reply. I waited 4 days before I called, again the woman on the other end of the line barely spoke English and I had to spell my name out 4 times before she could find my account that was never canceled. Then she tried to tell me that because I had activity on my account on March 6th that she could down grade my account to like $25. I told her I wanted to speak to her supervisor because I hadn't even been to the website since December so that was a lie I wanted a full refund and if I didn't get my money back I would contact my card and report the fraud. Only then would she agree to give me my full refund.
My life.com are total scam artists! It says I now live in Coopersburg and I haven't lived there in well over 20 years! It also shows people I don't know as my friends, neighbors who are not neighbors, and relatives who are not relatives plus a ton of other misinformation. I would never ever trust anything on this site! Someone needs to sue these jerks and shut this site down permanently.
I undertook their offer of a 7-day free trial. On day 3, I called to cancel and was told that the cancellation date would be on the 22nd of February. My current credit card statement shows 2 charges for 29.95 ( 2/24 and 3/24) and a 99.90 charge on 3/20. All of these are after the Feb., 22nd cancellation date! Today, they tell me they have no record of me cancelling my account and continued to "sell'' me on their services. They literally have stolen $159.80 from me through their decietful business practice. I asked for a refund but this request was refused! I am far from the only person to have had this experience with this organization. SCAM... FRAUD... they have a C- rating and it shuold be much lower!
A lot of information that mylife.com provides to the public regarding me is false and totally misleading . My Birthdate, my past residential addresses, the people who are related to me and my reputation score all are bogus. I do not know how they calculate someone's reputation score. I am a highly reputable healthcare provider and their below average reputation score for me is completely unjustified and hurts my professional prestige. As I see from ComplaintsBoard.com site, many other people are having the same problem. It is time for ComplaintsBoard.com to stop the unprofessional business conduct of this malicious company.
The information they have on my profile is false. They are stating I am a principal of some business, which I am not. They are claiming I have been arrested, filed for BK, and have sex charges against me, which are all totally false. Reporting slander & defamation of character like this can really damage some individuals.

After conducting a Google search, I found some personal information on the MyLife.com website and immediately requested that they remove my information from their site. I received an email stating: "To remove your profile, please go to https://www.mylife.com/help, and view FAQ #14. This FAQ, will give you step by step instructions on how to remove your profile from MyLife.com." I did this, and FAQ #14 on their website says: "The owner of the profile has to directly request removal through MyLife.com®. To begin that process, you must be a registered member and logged in." I firmly disagree with having to sign up for an account just to have my personal information removed from this website, and I don't understand why I need to sign up for an account to prove my identification. I did anyway, and now I immediately regret it because come to find out that I'm still not able to remove my information from this website - which I'm not even sure how they got my personal info in the first place. This has been an awful experience and I am vastly uncomfortable with having my personal information out on the internet, readily available. I do not share things on social media for this exact reason. PLEASE REMOVE MY INFORMATION IMMEDIATELY.
MyLife search is a total scam! I was a member for a few days however, the company took 29.95 from my account anyway. On January 18, 2022 I spoke with that company ad cancelled my account. AGAIN out of the blue February 21, 2022 My life took out 29.95 for my account. I spoke with the company in which they stated that this deduction was for the annual membership fee that they did not from me the first time.
DO NOT NOT ever use this company they steal money from your account.

They are sending me constant emails about my profile rating and it warns of criminal when I have none and court records. It stressing me out, when I try to get details they want me to pay. Please have them remove my data and stop harassing me.
On Sept. 11th I created an account and added my card after waiting forever for a search to load up
On Sept. 11th I created an account and added my card after waiting forever for a search to load up. it was only a dollar for a 7 day trial so I did it. upon looking at what they had I did not find what I was looking for. Most of the information was correct but not up to date like they had stated it was that day. I then went into my account and cancelled my subscription that day saying I did not find what I was looking for. I took a screenshot of my account saying that "Your account is currently paid through Fri, 18 Sep 2020." and that it is set to expire on Sat Sept. 19th 2020. Well today Sept. 17th we were charged $35.85. Our account was paid until the 18th so no matter what we should not have been charged anything. I did contact them and they said all subscriptions from here on out are cancelled, even though there should not be any considering I already cancelled, and they said they will refund the money. If that is all done and we don't get charged again well then at least they do what you ask once on the phone but they should have never charged me in the first place. Do not trust this site they are trying to pull a quick one on people. Also this would be a no star rating if I could leave a no star rating. Avoid this website
Sad but true
Sad but true. First, the information is somewhat true. They receive information from many sources, some outdated. You get what you pay for. But! buyer beware. They use financial traps. Currently my case is being reviewed by a fraud department, but they have allowed me to reason with Mylife in written form first, which I have submitted to the membership department and a time limit respond. I will rest the burden on them and not myself. In February I discontinued my service with Mylife and followed all the process. I have the policy and physical evidence of the cancellation and the need to no longer utilize the service. Where they try to screw you is on automatic renewal, which I am glad, I have conversations to show all processes I took, internal to Mylife was followed and Mylife noting further charges will be transacted...BUT BOOM! April , renewal Fee and BS excuse of why it happened. But I was prepared and all information has been turned over to the Fraud department. Now I am patiently waiting to hear from mylife with assurance money is returned. On my side they have been halted surrounding any further transactions in the future. So Buyer beware. It could be a good service for some if they were honest and made it easy.
MyLife.com advertises a 7-day free trial
MyLife.com advertises a 7-day free trial. I signed up for the 7-day trial, got the information I wanted from MyLife and cancelled the trial one day later. 4 days after I initially signed up for MyLife, they charged $44.95 to my credit card. When I called to ask them to reverse the charge, they told me that I signed up for a year membership. I explained that I signed up for a 7-day trial and cancelled 24 hours later. They offered to refund me $30 of the $44.95 charge. I told them that their offer was unacceptable; this was a free week-long trial and I expected that it would be FREE of all charges, especially considering I didn't use 6 of those 7 days. Then they offered to refund $34.95. I asked to speak to a supervisor because I would not be paying a single penny. Finally, they offered to refund the entire amount. I am currently waiting for that refund to appear on my account. Their 7-day trial offer was a complete lie. They charged me for an entire year's subscription before the 7-day period even concluded AND after I had cancelled the trial membership. Then my request for a refund became a garage sale haggle/negotiation. This "business" should be shut down; it is dishonest and unethical. Their false advertisement could cost unwitting customers money they didn't plan to spend.

I originally attempted to "opt out" of MyLife's database July 27
I originally attempted to "opt out" of MyLife's database July 27. Originally- I went to the MyLife site - joined for $1- made the choice to opt out- MyLife indicated the information would be removed across search engines where they reported - within 5-7 days. I was encouraged when that was done within a few days- The listing remained off for four days - then re-appeared. Since that time- I have contacted them SIX TIMES. Due to the lack of action on the part of MyLife- I have tried to deal directly with the search engines- and have been told due to some algorithm I must deal directly with MyLife. Here's the bottom-line- The information MyLife reports is inaccurate, dated, and not guaranteed for accuracy. They do not guarantee information which affects thousands of peoples' lives- and yet they continue to report it. In my profile - it states - so and so has COURT< CRIMINAL < or ARREST records - All NOT true. They converged information from some other person. This is unethical and should completely be against the laws of the United States of America. These people need to go out of business. BEWARE- Check your information. These people are NOT above-board - Their business practices (like many data-brokers) are weasily. They try to extort you to join them for $89 a year- or for you today - have we got a deal for you. Sleazy- Disgusting. Sadly - some people think this stuff is legitimate -
This company is the worst, and if I could give no stars, I would
This company is the worst, and if I could give no stars, I would. Read the ***(RED FLAG) at the bottom if you want to see the main issue...If you have time, please read on...
My email has been filled with MyLife advertisements and I fell for their gimmicks. They would put the subject as "Your Reputation Has A Negative Score" or "Someone just searched your name". I bite, and I wish I never would have.
Their initial fee for just checking your own background is $1, and that's where they would hook you in. It is a $1 trial, but when that trial ends, they charge you for an annual subscription.
In my case, I was disappointed with my background check, and I asked a MyLife representative around May if they could do me the courtesy of removing my profile and my information from their website, they told me there's nothing to worry about, and that there would be no additional charges. Read on...
I check my credit card charges, only to find a $50 charge a few days later. I then call the company back to tell them about this, and the representative told me they could only give me $40 back and that there was no cancellation.
***(RED FLAG ) The representative who "helped" me the last time, simply misspelt my email that I used originally, and ran the annual charge under that email with my credit card details. As soon as I get my partial payment back I'm going to ask my bank to reject any more charges.
I google my name and this site shows up, displaying ALL of my FULL ADDRESSES from the last 10 years or so
I google my name and this site shows up, displaying ALL of my FULL ADDRESSES from the last 10 years or so. They also included all maiden and married names, everything! I was robbed at home at gunpoint 4 years ago and now I think I know why/how! I immediately called and demanded they take down my information. He told me this information is all over the net and told him ***! Nowhere online are my full names and addresses posted except here and this is HIGHLY ILLEGAL! Absolutely nothing was blocked out, not my birthday, name or past addresses! All the information needed to start an account in my identity! He said they don't remove it but I cussed his *** out and told him i will send police reports, medical bills and court records from my robbery and sue their fking *** for putting all my information online like that without anyone's permission. Even my pic! I NEVER had an account with these people! This type of information, background, is legitimately supposed to be used for reputable and verified businesses to conduct business, not for peoples pics, names, birthdays, and full addresses to be posted for anyone to see, steal from or hurt! I told him to remove my ST NOW! i went back to the page and it was gone. I'm suing! I can't believe these people are probably the reason I had a gun put to my head in front of my home by someone not even from my city! Mylife needs to brought down!
What do I think?
What do I think? Out of courtesy for others I will use civilized language. It is such a scam. The first mistake I made was linking onto their website. The second mistake I made was falling for their "information" about me and about how poor my reputation was based upon their findings of me. It would seem that my information was mixed in with another person with my name (funny that) that had, let us just say, a rather "sketchy", reputation. I "supposedly" had jumped bail, had wreckless driving offencess, and made heck of a lot more money and owned a much more expensive home and a completely different car. I also " supposedly" lived in a state that I have never even been to. I had "aliases" and a different birthday. However, they did have members of my family listed as people that I knew, which caused me great concern. Well, unfortunately, I fell for it and I wanted this "fixed" and agreed to their $1 charge to help me. (Third mistake). This, was also followed up by a $95 without my knowledge. When I would try to access my information to correct it their, website would not allow me make any changes regarding the bogus charges, etc. I soon figured out I was getting scammed and called the bank that issues my debit card, filed a dispute on both charges, withdrew the rest of my money from my account and cancelled the card. I was able to do this within the hour I made this transaction. Hope this is helpful to others.
