kitten with fip sold from breeder
In July 2016, I purchased a kitten from a breeder, Amanda Halvorson, who runs Hidden Acres Exotics. Our kitten died this week of Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) which is a fatal virus without a cure. It is contracted from other cats. Our cat is exclusively indoors and had never been exposed to other cats since being with her littermates and cat parents. I have since learned that there have been other concerns from previous purchasers- 1 in 2014 who purchased a kitten from her and it since died of FIP. Other concerns from previous buyers include kittens with ringworm. Ours also had ringworm which was later treated. Unfortunately FIP is not treatable and we no longer have our Happy Whiskers with us.

My cousin and I bought 2 exotic shorthair kittens for our families from Amanda Halvorson at Hidden Acres Exotics. After taking them home, both had ringworms. She gave us a contract to sign when we picked up the kittens. We picked up the Kittens at a meeting place(Petco parking lot)as she only wanted to meet there. The contract stated she is not responsible...
