This is the worst home warranty company we have ever dealt with. I have paid in full for two years of warranty, I even got a free month and extra roof repair. Lot of good any of it does. Trying to get a claim paid is like pulling teeth. Then if they do approve a claim, they want you to take a small cash payment in lieu of repair. they denied my $500 roof...

First Premier Home Warranty Home warranty service

We have had a terrible experience with First Premier Home Warranty. We submitted a request to have HVAC repaired. It took over a week for them to get back to us with a contractor. When we called to find out what the hold up was they didn't have any information. It was like the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing with this company. Once we finally got the name of a contractor and had them come out for a service fee, the contractor contacted FPHW with information regarding the repair. When we heard nothing back for several days, we contacted the contractor and he said when he submitted the service information he was told we had cancelled the request (which we did not). It took the contractor 3 attempts to get the information to them, all with several days in between, because they couldn't seem to find the information every time we called. The contractor ultimately stayed on the phone with them while he submitted the estimate so he could confirm they had received it. He was told we would hear from them within 24 hours. After more than 24 hours had passed, we again called, only to be told we would have to provide 36 months of HVAC maintenance history in order to have this job approved. We have only owned the home for 10 months so we obviously did not have this maintenance history. They said they could not approve the job without this. So frustrated, I called the management number and spoke to a very condescending person named Todd who also said he could not help me and that the 36 month thing was in the contract. I have read the contract I was given and it says nothing about this. This company is a fraud. The whole point of buying a home warranty is to be able to be covered for the unknown when buying a home, BECAUSE there may be things you don't know about said home. I have sent them our home inspection which would be all that we have since the home is new to us. They told me today that the underwriters denied the claim without 36 months of maintenance records! The contractor for the HVAC said he has never worked with a warranty company that was this bad. A company is only as good as their promises kept, not their promises made. Don't be fooled by this company who does not stand by what they promise.

Country of complaint: United States

Desired outcome: The company should be prosecuted for fraud and shut down. Would like my money back for false advertising and fraudulent claims

Yes. I know exactly what you are talking about. My HVAC contractor was so upset with them and told them to put him on their “do not call list” I wonder how many contractors they have left in Colorado Springs area. Half of the time, they give me contractors contact who have not even heard about the warranty company. Nobody is willing to work for them, unless they just want the deductable

Jan 1 of 2022 I bought a home warranty from first premier home warranty. On may the 10 th my ac went out in 90 degree heat and I was advised it would take 3 or 4 days just to process the claim so I called my own tech that was local and they came the next day and fixed a very minor issue for 268.00 that was approved. I was supposed to be refunded 208.00. A...

First Premier Home Warranty I want the ac fixed or I want my money back all of it less a $50.00 cancellation fee.

I started a home warranty on 08-11-2022. I called on 09-02-2022 because my AC system had stop working. the company said that they would send someone out. The call was a placed on Thursday 09-02-2022. No one came out until Wednesday the 06th the service man came out looked at the AC unit and after a total of 5 minutes and said that the system was leaking and he could not put freon back in it because it was simply to old. When I bought the policy it said that it covered the entire AC unit. When the service men told the company that it was leaking they refused to cover it. I called them and asked why and they said that coils were not covered. I asked why and they said that it states plainly on the contract that they do not cover coils, but when I bought the plan it never said anything about not covering a part of the AC system. They also accused me of being a fraud and misrepresenting myself. in essence calling me a lier. This is the first service call I have made to First Premier Home Warranty. I paid my service fee of $60.00 in good faith and my policy in full of $579.00 now I am getting the runaround about my refund. They say that there is some BS unbinding fee of $75.00 and said that all I will get back is $64.00 these people are a bunch of ripoffs. I was also threaten that I would be hearing from their lawyers IF I wrote a letter to the BBB. I told them to call me.

I also called FPHW about my AC not cooling after a week I called them back and asked why weren't they getting a repair tech out to service my AC unit. They told me that I was suppose to call for service. I then asked them why they didn't send me an email informing me as to who the repair company was. They never sent an email but gave me the service companies phone#. I called an the repair tech came out the next day and told me that it was my evaporator coil but that he has asked the company in the past for approval to fix the evaporator coil and was told they would not cover it. It clearly states in the contract they will repair evaporator coils but refused to do so.

This company is a total scam how they are getting these high grades on the internet is beyond me.

The company has no integrity. Spreading the word will hopefully help the potential consumers to steer away from the company and not throw money into a bottomless pit

First Premier Home Warranty Home warranty

In January 2022 I purchased a home warranty from first premier home warranty for 446.87. In May my ac unit that was only 3 years old went out in 90 degree heat. I called to report a claim and I was told it would be 3 or 4 days to get this processed. I called a local tech to come the next day and fix my ac. It was a very minor fix and I paid 268.00 to the tech. My claim was approved and I should have gotten a 208.00 refund. I waited for over 30 days and my money never came. I called to check on my money and I was told good luck getting your money and we have canceled your policy and I have not gotten any of my 446.87 back. This company is keeping all of my money and giving me no service. They refuse to any solution to work this out.

Country of complaint: United States

Desired outcome: send me my 208.00 claim money that i am due and reinstate my policy so i will have my coverage back.

First Premier Home Warranty Home warranty

This is a completely fraudulent organization in Servicing Alabama. They sell you a policy that seems to be a reasonable rate but when something needs to be repaired, they send an unqualified layman from an online listing like handyman or angie. Usually unlicensed and untrained. The one they sent to me, did not even show up after I asked him if he was licensed. Next one, when I called him, said he did not work with any warranty company and did not know who First Premier was.

The First Premier claims rep could not have been less interested in accepting my claim. Spent 20 minutes telling me why I should not file it, hung up on me when I insisted. Same person answered the phone every time. Did not want to hear that my refrigerator was broken two months after buying their policy.

The claims rep finally offered to let me call the repairman of my choice and send the paid bill to them for reimbursement. Would you have trusted them to do that? He refused to tell me if they would cover the whole bill or some small token amount equal to what they offer their so-called affiliated service people. As I have discovered, they only pay the service people the $75 dollar fee I am charged to put in a service claim.

First premier basically pays nothing for the service people (if they bother assigning one at all) and expects them to find an excuse to up-charge any repair in order to cover their cost. BTW, American Home Shield does this as well. They sent Best Care AC, who tried to sucker me into a $1600 up-charge to repair my air conditioner. I called the original installation company, Joe East, who checked it and said all it needed was a small inexpensive external valve replacement and that it was covered.

First Premier has paid multiple websites to post glowing reviews and multiple claims of having a 4/5 rating with BBB. It is not a BBB registered company but there are many BBB Complaints filed. It is very difficult for anyone trying to find a reputable business when the first 10 web hits are these fake sites with false information. Check out these fraudulent sites:

They are the rudest set of snakes you will ever come across. As a contractor they have defrauded me by theft of services. They are trained liars with the rudest mouths I have ever heard. Todd is the worst! I can honestly say they are trained to lie and be deceitful in any way profitable to their company.

When i googled home warranty companys, First Premier came up in top 5 every time. so we got them . Its been absolute [censored]ing hell with this company. They hired a landscaper to do plumbing work, they are rude and inconsiderate, obnoxious extremely unprofessional! I have been trying to cancel my account with them for DAYS and cant do it due to them tossing me around, putting me on hold, same people do answer or just flat hanging up on me, as of TODAY Aug 15th 2022, i still have NOT been able to get it cancelled! Just today alone its been 15 calls and counting and just was put on hold AGAIN. I was given a website to cancel and it led me right back to there home page where there is NO! place to cancel my account. They know your # when you call in and will ALWAYS put you on hold, you hear the restart of being put on hold over and over again! No matter which number i press at the beginning, i talk to same people and ive been told i havent talked with them. WARNING STAY FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN, THEY ARE OUT TO TAKE YOUR MONEY AND SCREW YOU OVER! BTW, I AM ON CALL #18 and still hte same guy answered AGAIN! GUESS WHAT, YES ON HOLD AGAIN! ITS ATTORENY TIME!

First Premier Home Warranty Garbage disposal

On January 3, 2022 I called First Premier due to a problem with my garbage disposal. The next day they sent me a claim #1005 with who to call to set up an appointment to assess the problem. When the technician came out, I contacted First Premier to inform them that the garbage disposal could not be repaired and needed to be replaced. They said they would contact me in a few days to let me know their decision. Eight days later on 1/11/22 they emailed me a form to sign accepting the Cash In Lieu Of Repair, they said it would take about two weeks before I would receive the check for $180.00, because I missed the rotation, {whatever that means). Then also told me I would have to pay for the labor myself, which was not in my contract. I was only supposed to pay the technician $60.00 for the service call. I have called the company several times to inquire about the check for the disposal, and they keep coming up with different excuses as to why they have not mailed the check. It is now 2/21/22 and to this day I have not heard another thing from the company and no check.

Country of complaint: United States

Desired outcome: I want the company to pay for the garbage disposal. They gladly took my $412.63 and have not kept up their part of the deal.

This is the worst home warranty company I have ever subscribed to. I have had numerous home warranty companies but this one is the worst of all of them. When you call for a repair they tell you that you have to contact the service company even though contract says they are supposed to call. Then they will give you the contact number for the service company after almost a week of calling them. In the meantime my AC is still working with high 90's to 100 degree days. Finally the service company came out and sent them the diagnosis, a leaking evaporator coil. Which then said they will not cover under the home warranty.

I want my money back but they are dragging their feet. Don't know if I will ever get my money back.
