Drive Financial This should be illegal!!!

I was 9 months prego with #3 driving a Monte Carlo. Well very long story short, we were desperate and needed a van. Geoff Roger Motor Company (A## hole) ripped me off selling me a van that he was selling for 10, 000 for 14, 000 and got me into a 24.99% loan for 4.5 years at 435.47/mo.! Anyway, I have frequently been late in past 6 months. The people who call me, almost every one of them are the most ignorant lying idiots I have ever spoken to in my life! They threatened this and that if I did not post date a check and I told them it was winter so I don't know from one day to next if my husband would be working in concrete and I am disabled and need surgery. So they got me to post date it with threats and my husband got laid off 3 days later. Funds were due to come out of my account 2 weeks later. They refused to cancel the EFT and a so called manager said he would only move it up a week for me. He lied, it came out on the original date and caused me all kinds of fees with my bank and on other bills. They talk to you like you are a piece of #### and are stealing their last piece of meat in their freezer at their home! They call and call even after arrangement has been made. They call every number you gave them, even if it is a prepaid cell phone that you use for work. They call all numbers back to back after being asked not to call one of them.

They overheard me while I thought they had me on hold telling my husband I felt like telling them to just come get the son of a beep. The man said ok we can do that, what colour is it blah blah and I said no, I am just trying to work with you guys and pay but I cannot pay what I don't have and if I had people to borrow from or other resources I would have used them.

Now, I give up. I called THEM and asked them to come and get van. They refuse! They said it could be 6 months preaching to me about my credit and what will happen. I already bought a 4x4 trailblazer at 330/mo for 2.5 years from insta credit auto mart! The van won't get me out of my country road and tranny is bad and tires are bald bc of alignment, and sometimes it don't start and I have 3 kids and I cannot have that happening. They want me to get someone to take over payments or something~! Yeah right. The payoff right now is 11, 500 and the van in excellent condition is worth 8000 and it is no where near excellent condition and I have taken very good care of it for the 17 months I have had it!

All of this stuff put together just built up and built up, especially the way I am treated, and I choose to not deal with them and they can have it. I just know they are going to try and charge me 20, 000 before it is over AFTER they get the van for all I know. I just hope they don't garnish my family's wages. They had no business loaning 14, 000 on an 8, 000 vehicle in the first place, especially when come to find out it was a company vehicle with excessive miles on it and a wreck too! I should have done my homework and not jumped into the deal but I did so it is too late now. I should have looked them up on this site anyway.

I wish the people sitting at a desk harassing my family for money we already made arrangements about would get a real job and get on their knees and rub concrete all day like my husband or do any one of the jobs I used to do before my injury and then we can talk. I am not a piece of **** that don't pay my bills. But there is a way to go about getting money from people and their way will no longer work for me!

Drive Financial Customer Service

I became a customer of Drive Financial in December 2007. after making 11 payment (which I also paid over my required payment amount) I contacted Drive Financial to do a deferred payment due to financial hardship in this economy. I was told that I could not defer a payment until I was behind. I explain to them that I did not want to place my account in a negative standing so I was being proactive and just needed one month of deferred payments. I also explain to them that my electronic payment was sent out by my bank, and they would cancel the payment (since I called them before check tried to clear) so Drive Financial would just need not to send the check back. This way no fees would be charge to my account and everything would stay in good standing. Everyone was ready to work on this with the exception of DRIVE FINANCIAL. This company did not care that their customer who was being proactive in keeping her account in good standing needed assistance and help from them. I not only spoke with a customer service rep, but also with a supervisor who sounded like a record saying the same thing over and over again. No assistance just want to charge my account the extra fees.

I have paid off two cars before (NOT WITH DRIVE FINANCIAL) and I have NEVER received this poor customer service. Deferred payments are not just options when and account is past due, but in many financial companies it is away to help keep their customer's in good standing. I guess this company just don't care about their customers.

DON'T USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU HAVE OPTION AND ARE DOING YOUR RESEARCH IN ADVANCE!

I obtained an auto loan through AAA and a local bank. It was eventually sold to Santandera which is operated by Drive Financial. Recently I have been about 35 days late on the loan due to my husband's deployment (army/military) to Iraq and our loss of income. I have been working hard on the finances and catching up and the fact that payments are being made and the time frame between payments is closing in is evidence of that.

Each time someone calls to collect information regarding the late payment I need to re-explain my situation. It is tiring and futile. I have asked again and again that they record the 'story' so that I not need to re-tell it! I understand that they need to call, but this is just getting ridiculous. These people have no compassion. When I am asked what my reason is for not paying (! do I 'owe' them a reason?) I have begun to ask what the last person recorded as my previously stated reason, and it has NEVER resembled what I said!

Last time I spoke to the company (last week), I asked to speak to a manager. The manager used a rude tone of voice and demanded that I call in 10 days and inform him of a plan of payment. I asked him if he wanted me to call him even if I didn't have the money to pay...? because that would mean I did not have a plan of payment. He said that he did not care what I had to do...borrow the money or whatever...that I needed to pay the bill. I'm talking a month behind here on a 6 year old mini van! Holy cow! I told him I had no intention of borrowing money and I was wondering if he wanted me to call him in 10 days even if I didn't have the money...he became livid and gruff and told me that i was being difficult, etc. Oh, he was very very angry. I told he the fact that he was demanding payment, and that the fact that his people were calling me and expecting me to re-explain my situation time and again was harassment. This didn't seem to phase him.

At any rate, I did set up payment. He agreed to waive the late fee as there HAD been an error on his company's part due to their putting in the wrong bank acct #...but alas, I checked my bank acct today, and I was charged a late fee anyway. go figure. I will call the company tomorrow and see if I can get it waived, though I am sure I will only be met with more hostility. Not a fun company to work with.

I totally agree with her statements! Drive Financial does not know the meaning of the phrase "customer service". I only wish my husband and I new what we know now before we purchased our van!

Drive Financial IDIOTS & CROOKS !!!

Well isn't nice to see that others are feeling my pain! SORRY! Well my story starts like most of you DRIVE FINANCIAL stinks! I got a car loan from RHOAD LOANS in September of this year apparently during the sale of the company to DRIVE FINANCIAL, this is where I regret ever signing the paperwork! No one told me they were selling my loan days after approving it to a company of ###S! DRIVE FINANCIAL has never sent me any paperwork to even confirm I am a customer, even after 8 request from 8 different ###s {im sorry customer service represenatives} My account was "past due" they said you have a "late fee" they said, I said to them how can I pay my bill if you don't send any paperwork to me, told them I did not even know DRIVE FINANCIAL existed until the rude and nasty phone calls started! O'ya and when I offered to make a payment over the phone in good faith to make an account current I never knew existed... they said that will be a $10 convienence fee! convienent for who! told them to stuff it!
Asked them to wave my late fee becuase it was their error not mine they refused said I breached my contract! I said what contract you have not sent me anything to show I even have an account! IDIOTS! To date they will not wave my $16.21 late fee! I could go on and on but these people have wasted enough of my time and I am sure you get my point, if anyone can help please feel free to call my personal cell phone [protected] hopefully someone who has the power or the ability to stand up to these CROOKS will read this and help out the hundreds of us being screwed!

Yes I agree. Drive Financial is absolutely HORRIBLE! Its totally ridiculous how they screw people everyday. Good people. Good people who pay their bills. Good people doing their best to pay what they can. They are relentless. I recently made large payment on my loan. I called them before I sent it to inform them to post it only to the principle. I also noted that on the check and sent a note along with the check to post it only to the principle. They totoally did'nt do what was asked of them. They applied what they wanted to and took $114.00 to the interest. That is total bull! Who does crap like that. Anyway...When I found out how they posted my payment I quickly called them and they said that I need to call them after the payment has been posted. I said mam, I called you the day I sent the payment and i put a note on the check and put a note with in the envelope. She tells me that when you mail a payment it goes to an automated system. Come on give me a break. Are you telling me that there's an automated system that opens up the envelope and posts the amount the your account. Complete Lies...lies...lies...lies. It's ridiculous. Never again will I get another car loan. I will pay cash for everything that I want/have/own/ or want to own. Crooks..Drive Financial is a crook!

Drive Financial Fraud and cheating

Drive Financial, based out of Dallas TX, told us that they were not going to call customers to collect on late payments, but will continue to note the late payment on customer's account and credit report, even if you are a victim of Hurricane(s) Gustav or Ike! Unbelievable!

This amazes me because the company is based in Dallas, TX, a state where Hurricanes often affect. This puts a new swing on the term "loan shark".

Please don't apply for a loan with these guys if you can help it, they have no compassion or common courtesy. If they don't get loan applications, they can't continue to operate.

I PURCHASED A 2017 TOYOTA COROLLA CE IN DECEMBER 2017 FROM DOWNTOWN AUTO CENTER IN OAKLAND CALIFORNIA. I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN WHAT I WAS IN FOR WHEN THE SALESPERSON WAS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I WAS TOLD THAT I WAS APPROVED FOR A LOAN WITH DRIVE FINANCIAL AND BY GETTING THIS LOAN IT WILL HELP TO REBUILD MY CREDIT! SOUNDS GREAT HUH? WRONG! 2 DAYS AFTER I PURCHASED THE CAR I WAS REAR ENDED FROM BEHIND AND WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER TO NOT LET THE FINANCE COMPANY KNOW! RED FLAG! OKAY, IT GETS BETTER, I FELL BEHIND ON MY PAYMENT A YEAR AFTER I RECEIVED THE LOAN DUE TO LOSING MY JOB I CONTACTED THEM TO LET THEM KNOW AND I WAS OFFERED A DEFFERMENT ON THE LOAN ANYWAY THEY ENDED UP REPOSESSING THE VEHICLE I REDEEMED IT BACK PAYING ALMOST $1500 IN BACK PAYMENT, AND REPO FEES, WHICH I WAS ADVISED WOULD BRING ME CURRENT AND IT NEVER DID, THEY REPOSESSED IT AGAIN AND FINALLY I SAID FORGET IT KEEP IT! THEY SOLD IT AND NOW THEY ARE TRYING TO SUE ME FOR THE BALANCE OWED! THIS COMPANY IS A BUNCH OF CROOKS THAT CHARGE EXTREMELY HIGH INTEREST RATES! THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE AND THE MANAGEMENT TEAM IS NO BETTER! I STRONGLY SUGGEST LOOKING INTO THIS COMPANY PRIOR TO ACCEPTING ANY LOANS WITH THEM! A CLOSE FRIEND OF MINE WENT THROUGH THE SAME ORDEAL . BUYER BEWARE!

WHEN CUTOMERS CALL IN TO MAKE A PAYMENT WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE SO DIFFICULT TO MAKE A PAYMENT. I HAVE USED THE AUTOMATIVE SYSTEM ALMOST EVERY TIME. BUT WHEN THE AUTOMATIVE SYSTEM IS NOT WORKING, I ALWAYS END UP WITH A RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP. THAT HAS NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE DOING. THEY ASK TO VARIFY INFORMATION, "WITCH THEY ASK SEVERAL TIMES, AGAIN I GIVE THEM THE SAME INFORMATION THAT THEY JUST ASKED FOR.THEN THE REP IS RUDLEY ASKING ME WHY DIDN'T I MAKE MY PAYMENT ON THE 17 TH? YOU ARE LATE!CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE HELPFUL. WHAT IS IT ANY OF HER BUISNESS AND WHY WOULD YOU HAVE SOMEONE ON THE PHONE TALKING TO CUSTOMERS LIKE THAT...I ASKED TO SPEAK WITH A SUPERVISOR AND I GOT HUNG UP ON. I CALLED BACK GOT A GUY THAT SAID HIS NAME WAS LINDSAY, PROBABLY NOT HIS NAME BUT HE WOULD NOT LET ME SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR EITHER. WHO OR WHAT TRAINING CLASSES DOES YOUR COMPANY SEND YOUR REPS TO. THEY NEED MORE TRAINING. CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS IS A PLUS .YOUR COMPANY HAS NONE . I AM SURE YOU HAVE A HIGH TURN OVER FOR THAT POSTION BUT CAN YOU HIRE PEOPLE WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. I WOULD HOPE THAT YOU WOULD LIKE YOUR CUSTOMERS TREATED WITH RESPECT.

This company has given me so much grief and stress, I have even had to go to ER for chest pain and now need a cardiac work-up.

I am not a young woman. I owe the money, but I, like millions of other Americans am having a very hard time. I am truly doing the best I can and will pay what I owe as I can. I work Full Time and am not on any Govt. programs.

I am just tired of being abused. I thought it was against the law. I don't know what to do. I cannot answer my phone. They wake me up and run my cell bill up and I have to have my cell phone for my job.

I am a visiting nurse and I work long hours and get no relief form these people ever. They are relentless.

We had gotten behind on payments. I called; made arrangements and fulfilled these arrangements. Drive Financial called...I talked to the person, told her we would make the current payment as soon as possible. She was very nice and stated it would be noted on our account. Drive Financial continues to call... I spoke to them a few minutes ago and was told that it was an 'automated call' and they would continue to call. When I answer these automated calls it is dead silence.

These people call my husband's place of employment. They call my sister constantly and have even given our account information to her. This was after she told them to stop calling her and she would give me their message.
Is there something that can be done to at least limit these calls? This is ridiculous.

I had a terrible accident in 2017. My car which was purchased through Drive Financial, was totaled. Before I came out the coma, they had already put a bad report on my credit rating. I called them and worked out a payment plan. They told me when I was paid in full, all negative remarks would be removed from my credit report. I paid religiously. When I was finished they DID NOT remove the negative remarks. They said I paid in a settlement and put it on the credit report as a negative report. DO NOT use these LIARS for anything...

This company has changed it's name to Santande assuming that by obtaining a new business name, it would cover the multitude of harrassing phone calls and ridiculously high interest rates that it charges customers, however Santander is Drive and Drive is Santander. I've been financing my auto loan with drive for the past 2 years and the interest alone is enough to send you into bankruptcy. This is a horrible company with unfair credit practices. I would like to be apart of the class action lawsuit against this company simply because of the unfair interest that was attached to my auto loan as well as the harrassing phone calls that I've received on my jobs as well as my friends and family.Enough is enough!

Ok here is the DL for those people who have been "damaged" by drive financial. First, I will not be able to begin a Class Action lawsuit due to financial obligations but I am more then willing to help anyone with documents needed to start one. A few HUGE tips when gathering the evidence required. If POSSIBLE ALWAYS record conversations with each company rep you speak with. ALWAYS obtain their FULL NAME and ID/EMPLOYEE number, followed by what department they work in (if they have not stated it already.) Also send any payments by certified mail, this way it is verified that they received the payment on top of the confirmation from your bank. ALWAYS maintain records of any harassing actions brought on from the company or any person involved. If there are any witnesses to this harassment obtain a notarized letter from the person stating what they witnessed. It would be more reliable if it was someone not related to you preferably a co-worker or superior or a neighbor just someone not related to you would BENEFIT YOU MORE. but still obtain notarized witnessed accounts of ANYONE. This is still just a few tips anymore help you can EMAIL me at mustanghunter@gmail.com. I will continue to pray for all of you.

Count me in! Drive Financial has got to be the absolute worst company that I have ever dealt with! I have only had a loan with them since March 07 but have already had so many problems. I never received my very first statement so I assumed that my first car payment was due in April and not March. I started getting calls, 2-3 a day. I informed them that I never received my statement and asked if I could make 2 partial payments since I hadn't budgeted for it. They said that wasn't possible and that I had to pay the past due balance in full. So, apparently I am going to be 30 days behind on my loan for the next 5 years. Not to mention the fact that every time I make a payment I have to pay an extra $10-$15 for their "fees". The customer service is horrible. First of all, I cannot understand one person that works there. No one speaks English... NO ONE! And no one seems to know what they are doing. When I was trying to settle the above issue I was on the phone for over an hour and a half being transferred from person to person. I would love to help take this company down!

Drive Financial Harassment

This company calls my home and I work out of town during the week, so they get an answering service. What do they do? They search for anyone that live within 5 miles of me with the last name and calls and harasses them! They have been calling this old lady ten time a day, harassing the heck out her! Can you believe that? We share the last name, but are in no way related. So she sends her daughter to me mothers to find out if it is me that they are calling about. All because I am a week late in paying!

When we purchased the car we were not expecting to pay such a high note. and over the last and a half it has gotten harder. But we were told that we could not refinance. We wanted to lower the payments, in order to make it easier to make the jpayments. But of course no help from them. I receive a number of phone calls at my job and I am telling them that the primary driver of the truck is my husband and that I would make sure that he gets the messages. They still continue to call me at my job at least two too three times a day. I don't know about you, but that can cause anyone to lose their job. They also, are calling people that I listed on my references when I filled out the paper work to purchase the truck. They are calling them and asking them if they can make the payment for us. This is a problem If I had Known that they were going to be calling my references I would have never given this information to them. Embarrassed!

This is Santander that is calling. There is a class action lawsuit against them for many reasons. To join the suit, visit http://www.santanderclassaction.com. The lawsuit has been filed by a highly reputable law firm in Birmingham, AL. If they are calling you repeatedly, calling your family and friends, or have increased the balance of your loan, you are eligible to join this class action lawsuit. They cannot harass you and there is federal action you can take to make them stop.

I understand your frustrations, I've purchased a car from a local dealership in Georgia. Now I was laid off in October 08 and still made my payments but not on time. I actually had skipped a month. To make a long story short I had a call from their rep in May and they offered to put that payment on the backend of my loan as long as I agreed to change my pay date from the 25th to the 23rd. Which I agreed due to the fact that I get paid on the 15th that would put me back in good standing with payments on time. Well I've been making my payments as told on the 15th but I started getting calls back to back on a daily basis after the 23rd. I finally answered the call and they wanted to know when I would be making a payment to bring my account up to date. I was confused because it's August and you're telling me that I'm one payment behind with also the 23rd payment due. The young lady I was speaking to that day stated that the rep didn't make that change in the system, and she's not sure why he offered that kinda of a deal. Well needless to say the offer he made was not something they do so even when I make the payment on the 15th, when the 23rd roles around it starts to accumulate late days. All of the conversation with the rep was recorded (apparently). Is there any type of recourse that can be taken, due to the negligence on their fault for not upholding their end of the contract. Now I still get calls daily and everytime they call I have to explain to them the same thing I just told the other rep, and I question them about reading my comments that they have to place on my account and the answer to this is when you become due you will receive calls from us until it's paid so imagine my phone log from them from the 23rd of the month to the 15th of the next month. It's truly harassment and if anyone has any suggestions on how to handle this please reply. Thanks REAL GA PEACH...

I agree that these people are a complete harassment! Someone gave me as a reference. I haven't seen this person in over a year and have told these people over and over again that I do not know where he is and to please stop calling. But they keep on calling.

Now for the other person. He may not have gave the Old lady up the street as a reference. They could be skiptracing trying to find him and just calling people on his street. That is what I use to do for the credit bureau when I needed to find someone.

Are you crazy?...Listen to me and listen to me carefully...Do not think that because you are a week late that they do not have the right to call you...GUESS WHAT, THEY DO!YOU SIGNED A CONTRACT AGREEING THAT A PAYMENT WILL BE MADE MONTHLY ON A PARTICULAR DATE...If the payment is not made...EXPECT to receive calls...And you know what, this means, you are actually receiving the messages and refusing to return the calls...By the way, the only way they can call the old lady is if YOU gaved them her number, which means, you gaved permission for them to call her if they couldn't reach you...HELLO?!...She is a reference...RETURN THE CALLS AND SHE WOULDN'T RECEIVE ANY MORE, UNTIL THEN, THE COLLECTIONS CALLS WILL CONTUNUE! DEAL WITH IT!

Drive Financial Scam and fraud

I too had credit problems and serra toyota of decatur got me financed through drive financial. First let me say that I was never told from the start what I would be paying for the 2005 Kia Spectra that I was getting. I even gave a $2000 deposit and the car was still 10, 000 plus interest which was $88OO dollars. I have already paid over $5OOO in payments. I have been behind since having my shoulder surgery and have explained that to them. But I am like all the others, I never get the same person when I call. I have notified the Atty. Gen. of Alabama about the practices of this company. They have even tried to contact me on Sunday which is a no-no according to the legal info that I have received. I am now awaiting to get in to see a lawyer. Drive has even had the nerve to call my boss and his wife and tell them things that should not be discussed with anyone. I have also told them not to call me at work. They were to call me after 2pm cst. I am just fed up with it. So if there is some- one in Alabama that is considering a class action lawsuit, please count me in.

Drive Financial Illegal repo

I had a loan thru this company. My husband went out of work for disability because he had surgery. I notified them because we were told at the time we purchased out vehicle that we had the disability insurance which pays your payment if you are out of work. I never heard anything further, so i assumed all was well. Then we moved and i changed my mailing address with the post office and changed insurance companies. The insurance company asked for Drive's address so that they could notify them. Well two months later my father in law (whose house i have never lived) called and said someone put a post it note on his mailbox that they needed to serve me and my husband papers. My father in law then called my husband and said the man would be back in 15 minutes. He went there and they took the truck before he could even walk to the door. The company then told us we had 15 days to get them the money. We called the very next day (less than 24 hours after they took the vehicle) and were told we had no chance of getting the vehicle back. I had a full investigation and the authorities ruled in our favor.

Drive Financial Payment rip off!

I've been with them since July and every month they say that payment wasn't made from my auto pay. So they call me 10 days later each month for authorization of deduction from my account. this is with a $11.00 surcharge. Now i get statements of fee's for $30.00 on top of a $492.12 truck payment. As of 14 minutes ago they tell me it will be $522.00 plus a charge of $10.95 to take my payment out on the 23rd from my bank. If i am on auto pay why do they keep raising my deductions? This is the worst enjoyable purchase i have ever made with so many headaches with lies from finance.

I'VE BEEN WITH DRIVE FINANCIAL SINCE FEBURARY OF 2005 AND I AM STILL PAYING THIS CAR NOTE. WITHIN THE FOUR YEARS THAT I HAVE HAD THIS CAR I HAVE HAD TWO MAJOR SURGERIES AND WAS OFF WORK ALMOST TWO MONTHS FOR EACH SURGERY AND I HAVE HAD A CUT IN MY SALARY BECAUSE OF THE ECONOMY A FEW MONTHS AGO. EACH TIME THAT I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS IN THE PAST MAKING MY CAR NOTE I WOULD CALL DRIVE FINANCIAL TO SEE IF THEY COULD WORK OUT SOME TYPE OF DEFERMENT ON MY ACCOUNT BUT THEY WOULDN'T. INSTEAD THE WOULD CHARGE ME HIGH INTEREST ON MY LATE PAYMENT. I HAVE HAD THIS 2004 MALIBU SINCE FEBRUARY 2005 AND I STILL OWE $6, 000 ON IT AND THAT IS NOT INCLUDING THE PAST DUE AMOUNT OF $732. EVERY TWO TO THREE TIMES A WEEK I CONTINUE TO GET COLLECTION CALLS AND I KEEP EXPLAINING TO THEM THAT I HAVE RECEIVED A CUT IN PAY AND I HAVE ASKED FOR THEIR HELP CONSTANTLY BUT THEY ONLY CONTINUE TO CALL AND CONTINUE TO ADD MORE HIGH INTEREST AND LATE FEES TO MY BALANCE.

I agree with the shotty information being used at Drive Financial. I keep getting collection calls from their office asking me to get in contact with for them for someone I have no contact with. Everytime I call and complain they say they'll fix the problem and remove me from this person records, but they don't and I keep getting calls.

Drive Financial Lawsuit

Drive Financial authorized a loan through Southern Auto in Maryand. The loan they authorized later came to my attention had been falsified by the "Finance Manager" at Southern Auto. They never followed through to confirm that the employement information was correct. The dealer had denied my request for the employement record that I filled out to obtain this vehicle. Drive Financial had some random job for me that I've never even heard of. Mind you when I filled out the employement my only income was My daughter's SSI, the petty child support and the Social Service money I was recieving. In hindsight I'm not even sure if I was recieving the Social Service money at that point. After trying dyligently to rectify the issue working with the Consumer Affairs Division, I was unsuccessful. Drive Financial wrote the vehicle off as a bad debt, which by the way had a blown headgasket. Now I am being sued for a vehicle that Drive wrote off and Southern Auto is nowhere to be found!

Wow! This is the same exact same that happened to me, by a Salesperson at nissan of Apex except mine incident was he lied about how much i put down, and he said that i traded my car in that I had currently had an open loan with. I knew nothing about it. They said that they would reverse the loan, and it would not be put on my credit. However, it did go on my credit and I went to court. In court I was just ordered to pay for the 2 months I had the car versus the full amount. But, in saying that I continue to ask them to come and get the car. now, my credit is still reflects Drive Financial as well as a Judgement.
They are horrible

Drive Financial Poor service!

My husband and I purchased a truck from Eastern Motors, which Drive Financial was the lender. We are still fighting with them and have been for the last 3 months. The first time we called into Drive Financial was to get a payoff amount because we were re-financing our house. We were given an amount but never told that the amount had to be paid by a certain date and if not paid by that date it would be going up. About a month later our re-fi went through and we were ready to payoff the truck. To be 100% positive of the payoff amount before we sent in a check I called to get the amount again. I was told that the payoff amount was different and this was because we didn't pay it by a certain date! I explained to the rep that we were not told we only had until that date to pay. So instead of getting into an ongoing argument that was going no where I agreed with the amount and proceeded to prepare to have them paid off. The next time we spoke to Drive Financial they called my house saying the truck was going to be repossessed because we were late on the payment. I explained to the representative that I had mailed the check, she proceeded to want the check number. I also explained to her that my family & I had just sat down for dinner and I would call her back with the number. She got very nasty with me so I hung up on her letting her know that she would get the check number in a few hours. My husband called back with the check number and amount the check was for and confirmed that the amount was going to satisfy the account. By the end of August we still had not received a title. I called to ask why and was told we had a remaining balance. The representative that took the check number falsely documented our account stating they told us that the check would not pay it off and we would have the remaining balance. After arguing with the rep I asked many many times to speak to a manager and finally got one. I was on the phone with the company for about an hour and a half. The supervisor assured me he would have the phone recordings pulled and get a resolution on the account. 3 weeks went by and I never heard from him. Today I called back to the company and was told there was never any phone conversations pulled and nothing noted that I had spoke to any supervisor about having them pulled! This company is crooked and have a very poor record keeping system! I am not going to stop the fight about the remaining balance. I was also told they do not have a corporate office phone number to give out they only have an address... It's BULL! I have worked for a collection agency and there is always someone higher up to talk to.

DRIVE FINANCIAL is a big rip off to consumers. I have just found out that the $2000. dollars i sent them 3 months ago they are now saying was never received by them. I have a confirmation number from the bank for the electronic transfer but they are trying to reponses my car regardless. When I tried to get this straightened out the lady would only ask for my address repeatedly, when I said for her to answer my questions first she hung up on me. Obviously they only care about taking your money without ANY customer service at all!

I WILL NEVER USE OR RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE FOR LIFE!

My complaint is about Drive Financial. I decided to get a vehicle to reestablish my credit. I gave a $5000 dollar down payment. On my first payment I sent $200 over the amount of my normal payment. My plans were to get it paid off quickly. I was almost sure that in a year or two I was going to have it paid off. Well needless to say that never happened. I read the [redacted]s online about drive time, shortly after purchasing the vehicle and was worried about that happening to me. Well just to try and cover my tracks. I sent my first payment early, but before doing so, I called to let Drive Financial know that I was sending in my payment a few days early, only to make sure that it was received on time. I spoke with a representative who assured me that the check would not be processed until the payment was due. She lied, My payment was processed on 3/21, when the payment was not due until 3/25th. The check arrived at my bank before I could deposit the money, my check was returned for Non sufficient funds and I was charged fees of course. Drive Financial also charged me returned check fees and the interest accrued 10.00 dollars a day for everyday I was late. I called and spoke with a manager named Selina. Told her that the representative should have been held responsible. She said there was nothing she could do. The damage was done. I told her to monitor the very first call I made to drive financial and she would see that the representative did lie to me. She said, I will, and that was the end of her conversation.

Yes I agree...I have also been ripped off by the dealer when they gave me a loan with this Psycho company Drive Financial/Santander USA... They are very rude . Needless to say the dealer was shut down by the manufacturer and I cannot get out of this loan.I have a very high interest rate loan and they do not offer refinance. We should get them shut down. Good LUCK

this was the first new car i had purchased in a long time and it was financied though Drive Financial. they are full of crocks! i was out of work for medical reason for approx. 3 1/2 months and got behind on my payments. i called them to explain the situation and told them when i would be making a payment (usually within a weeks time, no more then 2 weeks time) and they said they would note it in the system. i would get a phone call from them everyday asking me about my payments. even after i had made the payments the phone calls would continue for another 2 to 3 days. when i was able to i would make two payments in one month to try to catch up on the loan, but the loan amount never seems to go down. in fact it is going UP!. everytime i call them about it i get the run around. i finally told them that if they decide to reposse the car then fine, they can keep it. my credit is shot anyway.

I used to work in auto finance and believe me I know that there are some true instances of poor customer service, but in your case I'm not in agreement. You brought your service charge on yourself. While I agree that the representative was wrong if in fact you were told that the check wouldn't be processed prior to the due date, you should never have issued a check when you did not have the funds in your account.

Just an fyi...no business reviews checks for the due date. Every company processes checks as they are received. Think about it like this, for a company to do what you wanted they would have to have a computer or persons pull checks by account number, check the due date, sort the checks and place them on hold and then wait for your particular due date to send it to the bank. That will never happen.

Your best bet is to make sure you actually have the necessary funds before issuing a check. Please believe me, I'm not trying to call you out, I'm just explaining to you how the process works so it doesn't happen again with any company. No company has the ability to hold checks.

I almost think it would be easier to just let them take my car and sue me for the balance. These people are a joke. I would cut off my right arm before I would ever get another car through them.

I deal with drive financial and I do beleive the complaints are factual.

And definetly they are a rip off, it seams that everything is arrenged so you will never will be able to pay off your loan. I hope the class "A" lawsuit filed by the Law Office of Mr. Thompson goes thru.

My husband and I bought a vehicle at Airport Suzuki in Irving TX (another big headache) in April, 2007. We got pushed into a vehicle we were not interested in at all!!! We told them we did not want a car payment of more than $325 a month so we could actually live somewhere other than the vehicle. We never got a contract and the co-buyer we used ended up not...
