DHgate Dhgate.com Review: Terrible Customer Service and Never Received What I Paid For

I've been using dhgate.com for a year now and I have to say, I'm not impressed. I've ordered 20 different items from them and not once have I received what I paid for. Every time I check the tracking information, my order has gone to a completely different state. When I call the local postal office, they tell me that it was delivered to the specific address because that's what is on the label. It's frustrating because I've had to open a dispute every single time just to get my money back or a replacement.

Their customer service is terrible. They're unprofessional and don't seem to know anything about what's going on. They end conversations with me abruptly and don't give me any information. It's like they're just there for show. And to make matters worse, they banned me from the site because I opened so many disputes. I've done nothing wrong, but I get punished for their mistakes.

One time, I asked for a replacement and the seller supposedly shipped the package to me, but they gave me the wrong tracking information. After months of trying to get in touch with them, I still haven't received anything. It's frustrating because I've never received anything I paid for out of 20 times. There's something more than just stupidity and careless errors happening.

I understand that there are some great items on the site, but I promise you, you'll never receive them. It's not worth the hassle. I've been so infuriated with these people that I've cried. It's not about the package or items, it's about how they conduct business. People spend their hard-earned money on the site and then never receive what they paid for. And then they get punished for it.

I've told them that I'm going to tell everyone I know about my experience with the site, and I am. I hope that you listen to my experience and don't waste your time or money. It's not worth it. I don't know how a company like this is allowed to do business. It's frustrating and ridiculous.

DHgate DHgate Review: Total Scam - Don't Waste Your Time or Money!

I gotta say, I'm not sure why this site has so many stars. I mean, just look at all the 1-star reviews below. It's pretty clear that this site is a total scam.

I had a really bad experience with DHgate. I ordered a product late at night because it was on sale and I needed it for my business. But after I placed the order, I realized that the seller didn't have certain test data posted that I needed to resell the product in Canada. So I sent an email to the seller through DHgate, but they didn't respond.

The next day, I reached out to DHgate and asked to cancel the order. But it's not like Amazon or other online websites where it's automated. You have to request it. DHgate didn't respond to my request, so I emailed them through their cancellation area 2 more times. But still no response.

Finally, after 3 days, I received notice that the item had shipped! DHgate never responded to me. I was so frustrated that I opened a chargeback with Visa. When the package arrived here by UPS, I refused it. Only then did DHgate reach out to me, asking why I refused the shipment. I explained everything to them, including their lack of response to my 3 emails asking to cancel. But they told me I needed to accept the shipment to make the claim. Are you kidding me?!

If I had accepted the shipment, I would have been out GST, broker fees, and UPS's usual extortion fees. I would also have been liable for the cost to ship the stuff back. I wasn't going to eat any of these costs when this should have simply never left China, and was 100% DHgate's fault.

After that, I tried to resolve this with DHgate through an open ticket via email. But they just kept telling me to go to pages that didn't exist, click a button that didn't exist, and talk to the seller who never replied. And then, after all that, they told me to talk to customer service, when that was who I was talking to through the cancellation channel. It was like they were just trying to wear me down until I gave up, and DHgate (not the seller) kept the cash.

If you're thinking of buying from DHgate, think again. Check the main page of the website and click on 'cancellation', 'disputes', or any of those feel-good buttons on the left side. They'll give you info that looks like you can do something, but there's no actual path to do so. I challenge you to find something. Stay away from this company. Their claims of escrow and buyer safety mean nothing, and you will not be able to recoup the funds if you get scammed.

DHgate Unethical Business: My Terrible Experience with DHgate

I gotta say, I had a pretty bad experience with DHgate. I ordered some Asics running shoes earlier this year and tried to pay with my credit card, but their website wouldn't accept it. So, I had to do a bank transfer using WiseTransfer. I waited a few days for the payment to go through, but when I contacted DHgate to check on the status of my order, they said they never received the payment. I checked with my bank and WiseTransfer and they both confirmed that the payment had already been completed and deposited into DHgate's bank account. I even verified that the account belonged to DHgate and that my order number was correct. But DHgate kept denying that they received the payment, even though I had evidence to prove it. I tried to get some answers from them, but they just ignored me. It's pretty clear that DHgate is an unethical business that's just trying to make a quick buck. They don't care about their customers and they think they can get away with it because they're based in China. But I'm not going to let them get away with it. I'm in the process of taking legal action against DHgate and I encourage anyone else who's been scammed by them to join me.

DHgate DHgate: The Worst Online Shopping Experience Ever!

I had a really bad experience with DHgate. I ordered a dress for my daughter's prom in March 2015. The payment went through fine and the seller promised delivery within 14 days. I checked the dhgate site and my messages every few days to see progress on my order. On the 14th of April 2015, the seller finally posted that the dress was shipped and provided a tracking number to track delivery via DHL. I tried to do just that and DHL had no information on that tracking number. I called DHL to get more information as the seller promised she shipped the dress. DHL checked every way they could for such a delivery, by name, state, zipcode, address etc... they had NOTHING, no such delivery was ever scheduled!

I contacted DHGATE customer service who told me I could make a dispute and they would not release payment until dispute was resolved. They offered ZERO insight as to how a seller could post a bogus tracking number and lie about the progress of order, simply register a dispute! So I followed the steps provided to register a dispute and was informed that I could not file a dispute at this time. I needed to wait x amount of days before I could file a dispute. The CSR I spoke with from DHGATE new everything about my problem including timeline and told me to register a dispute, never said anything about it being too early to do so.

Finally, I heard back from the seller who told me "I am sorry, I contacted the factory and they are still working on the dress. I promise you will have dress on time." SERIOUSLY! If the factory was still working on the dress why did the status change from in progress to shipped and why was I provided with a bogus tracking number? I am still confused as to how the seller is able to boldly lie to me and why DHGATE is not more helpful regarding that issue!

What should be a memorable and happy time for my daughter has left her in tears on several nights over a dress that probably does not exist! I would NEVER recommend to ANYONE to use DHGATE or any of their sellers! They do not check out their sellers before they allow them to sell on their site. They do not care about the customers. I am simply furious at the site, the seller and myself for putting such an important event in the hands of these people!

Sure, maybe I will get my money back on the dress but what about the $50 cancellation fee to the seamstress? I only made the appointment after I was promised delivery on or before a specific date. What about all the accessories we purchased to go with the dress that will not match the new dress we have to buy? I find them irresponsible, unreliable and untrustworthy!

Even worse, I tried to access the dhgate site today to check messages from CS and or seller and the site is not available! I guess I will have to have my credit card company dispute the charge as I am getting ZERO help from ANYONE at DHGATE. This was the WORST ONLINE SHOPPING EXPERIENCE EVER!

DHgate DHgate Review: Mixed Bag of Good and Bad Experiences

I gotta say, DHgate is a bit of a mixed bag. I mean, sure, some folks seem to have no problems at all, but if you're like me and things go sideways, you're in for a real headache.

Take my experience, for example. I made two purchases at the same time, and neither one ended up in my hands. But, get this, I still had to pay for one of them! Can you believe it? DHgate actually rewards sellers who don't play fair.

Let me break it down for you. For my first purchase, I picked a seller who shipped with FedEx Ground because I don't have USPS delivery. But, guess what? The seller didn't honor that and sent it with USPS anyway. And, surprise surprise, I never got it. When I asked DHgate to help me out, they just kept telling me to file a claim. But, since I'm not a USPS customer, I couldn't file one. DHgate just couldn't seem to understand that. And, get this, even though the seller never communicated with me or DHgate, they still got paid! DHgate just closed my claim and gave them my money. It was like talking to a brick wall.

For my second purchase, the seller straight up admitted they didn't have the product I ordered, but they still listed it as "shipped" on the DHgate website. They tried to get me to accept a substitute, but I refused. DHgate wouldn't refund my payment because the item was listed as "shipped," even though the seller didn't actually have it. It took over a month to get my refund, and the seller kept trying to get me to withdraw my claim so they could get paid. It was a real mess.

So, yeah, I'd say purchase at your own risk with DHgate. Some folks seem to have no problems, but if you're like me and things go wrong, you're in for a real headache.

DHgate Disappointing Experience with DHgate: Faulty Products and Frustrating Refund Process

I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed with DHgate. I recently ordered two phones from them and both of them were complete duds. I mean, they didn't work at all. And when I tried to get a refund, they made it so difficult and frustrating.

First of all, they only offered me a partial refund of $35 for each phone. That's not even close to what I paid for them. And then, when I asked for a self-addressed prepaid shipping label so I could send the phones back, they refused. They wanted me to pay for shipping myself, which would have cost me more than the phones themselves.

I mean, come on. If you're going to sell products that don't work, at least make it easy for your customers to return them. And don't expect us to pay for your mistakes.

To make matters worse, their customer service is terrible. They don't respond to emails in a timely manner, and when they do, they don't actually address the issue. It's like they're just trying to get rid of me.

I'm not going to give up, though. I'm going to keep fighting for my refund and for better customer service. But I would definitely not recommend DHgate to anyone. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else.

DHgate Terrible Experience with DHgate.com: Beware of Unreliable Portal Website

I recently had a terrible experience with DHgate.com and wanted to share my story with others. I ordered a dress on my phone through the website on January 15th and was charged $229.99 on my credit card. However, I did not receive any confirmation that my order had been processed or received by the company, other than the credit card charge and a text message from an unknown number on February 1st stating that my DHL shipment was scheduled for delivery.

When I received the dress, it was not as pictured or as ordered, and I was greatly dissatisfied with it. The packing slip even misspelled both my first and last names, and there was no order number included. I tried to contact customer service, but I was unable to open a formal dispute as I still had not received an order number. To make matters worse, my DHgate account was suspiciously suspended, which I did not request.

I spent hours on the phone with customer service, but they were unable to help me. They instructed me to log in to DHgate online and open a formal dispute, but I was still unable to do so without an order number. I requested that they connect me with the correct person to arrange for a return and full refund, but this never happened. I even threatened to report them to the Better Business Bureau, but they simply stopped responding to me.

I want to warn others not to use this website unless they are willing to take the risk of throwing their money down the drain. DHgate.com is not a reliable portal website, and they do not issue order numbers or confirmations, which makes it impossible to file a dispute with the seller. If you want to avoid wasting your time, money, and misfortune, stay away from DHgate.com.

DHgate Disappointing Experience with DHgate: Vendor Deceit and Poor Customer Service

I read some reviews about DHgate before I ordered some goods worth $900 from an international vendor on their website. Some reviewers warned against ordering from DHgate, but I thought I was safe because the vendor was established and I used my American Express card to order.

However, I was disappointed when I received only 10% of my order, and the items I did receive were not what I ordered. The chemical I received was supposed to pass through 300mesh, but it was mainly rock. I tried to resolve the issue with the seller, but they refused to pay for return shipping. I contacted DHgate customer service, and they assured me that the seller had to abide by the terms of the refund proposal, including paying for return shipping.

To make matters worse, I discovered that the product was illegal to ship internationally, and the seller had lied about its composition. USmail, USPS, and FedEx all refused to ship the product back to China because of its hazardous nature. I contacted DHgate again and provided evidence of the deceitful practice of the vendor, but I was surprised to find out that the funds had already been released to the vendor, and DHgate had no record of my dispute.

Thankfully, I used my American Express card, and I was able to get a refund within three days. However, the issue is not fully resolved yet, and DHgate mediation is still requesting more evidence. The vendor even thanked me for the full payment, even though they did not fulfill my order.

I hope my experience will deter others from ordering from DHgate, but if you do, make sure to use a credit card like American Express. My experience with getting a refund from Chase Visa was not as good as my experience with American Express. It has been a frustrating 3.5 weeks of back and forth, and I expect it will take another 3-4 weeks to resolve this issue.

DHgate DHgate Review: Disappointing Customer Service and Scammers Preying on Innocent People

I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed with DHgate. They keep extending my processing date without telling me, and blaming it on the virus. But I've already received items I bought on Aliexpress, so what's the deal? It's like they're just trying to cheat me out of my money. First they said it would be done by Feb 29th, then March 10th, and now it's March 19th. And to make matters worse, the seller I bought from, niceshoestore, won't give me a refund. They say it's because of payment verification issues, but I don't believe them. DHgate told them to manually state that they would refund me $65, but they won't do it. I've tried talking to the admins about it, but they just tell me to talk to the seller. What's the point of having admins if they can't help you? And to top it all off, they keep extending the processing date, even though they can't process my order without my credit card picture. It's like they're just trying to scam me. And I'm not the only one who's had problems with them. If you look at the comments, everyone's complaining about refunds and being cheated. It's clear that DHgate doesn't care about their customers. They let scammers prey on innocent people and don't do anything about it. And have you noticed how their responses are all the same? It's like they don't even read your message. And they've even deleted bad comments from their Facebook page! I tried commenting a few times, but my comments disappeared. And I've seen other people's comments disappear too. It's like they're trying to hide something. I wouldn't recommend using DHgate. Stick with Aliexpress. They're honest and easy to use. Don't make the same mistake I did and lose $65. DHgate is full of crooks.

DHgate DHgate.com Scam Review: Don't Fall for It!

I can't believe I fell for it again! I should have read the reviews before I made my purchase on DHgate.com. I ordered a prom dress for my daughter 60 days in advance from a seller with a 90+ seller rating, but I was scammed BAD. The dress I received was nothing like the picture that was advertised. It was short, burgundy, stiff, with the wrong pattern sewn on it. It was a hot mess! I tried to get a refund by talking to the company via chat, but no one knew how to read or speak proper English. They requested pictures and videos, but even after sending them, they still decided to close my case. I was so frustrated that I decided to contact my bank, Chase, and they refunded my money. Now, Chase is in the process of going after DHgate.com.

I had ordered from DHgate.com before and was scammed with some hair for my daughter. I didn't think I would experience another scam because it was from a different seller, but I was wrong. I refuse to be scammed again, so I wrote complaints to the consumer imports and exports division, filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, and also the Better Business Bureau. I suggest that everyone who has been scammed by this company file a complaint with these companies so that they can get their privileges revoked from doing business with the United States. I also found a complaint with MasterCard, Visa, and Discover so that it can go on record that DHgate.com is fraudulent.

I ended up buying the dress from an online retailer in the United States stationed in Texas called Quinceanera.com. They have designer dresses, and the dress I bought was exactly how it was pictured. It was well worth the $700 that I paid for it. The $143 that I paid for the dress off of DHgate.com was a big scam, and I learned my lesson. The dress from Texas was perfect, and my daughter was the happiest girl in the world. It was a quinceanera dress that she wore for prom, and it was worth every penny.

By the way, I'm still team Chase Bank. They are the best. Whenever you buy something and don't receive the product that you paid for, you should always go through your credit card company or bank company, and they're supposed to refund you your money because you paid for a product that you did not receive. Good luck to anyone who wants to buy from DHgate.com, but buyer beware. Please read reviews, I only wish I had.
