Unauthorized charge for a subscription / deceptive advertising / using coach as a front
There are ads all over facebook that appears to be from the retailer - COACH. The ads claim that due to storage issues or store closures, Coach is selling their handbags for $1.00, and you only have to pay $6.95 for shipping and handling. I was hesitant at first because I thought it was too good to be true. After my third hesitation, I decided to make the purchase on 09/15/2023. I received a notification in my email that my card was charged $7.95 for a Coach handbag. However, the receipt came from consumergadgetsdepot.com and the charge appeared on my card as PUREEPICMUSI [protected] - and no mention of COACH.
Then on 09/18/2023 my card was charged again in the amount of $79.95. When I called the number to report the unauthorized charge, I was told that the $7.95 was the entry fee for a chance to win a Coach handbag for $1.00 and the $79.95 was for some sort of subscription that is non-refundable. Subscription for what! I never asked for a subscription and never received an email confirmation that I signed up for a subscription. I argued with the lady on the phone. At first, she said that they could issue me a voucher to make purchases on their online store. I told her that a voucher is no help to me because my son was diagnosed with cancer this summer, and I depended on my credit card, which has a low credit limit, to purchase food and medication for him. These charges almost wiped out my available credit. Then she said she could refund 40% of the subscription immediately, which would only be $31.98, but I never received the refund!

Desired outcome: I want a refund in the amount of $87.90. The ad didn't say anything about an entry fee and I saw nothing about a subscription.
Unauthorized charges
I purchased a purse that was advertised as damaged packaging and all I had to do was pay $7.95 shipping. I have to admit I didn't read the reviews. A week later on today 9/14/23, the company charged my card another $79.95 for what I have no idea because I did NOT authorize anything else. This company is a scam! They need to return my money but I would bet...

apparently won an iPad PRO, I honestly didn’t think this was a scam. I had actually put my name in a raffle at Walmart(I never shopped there and of course I had to one day hand I put my stupid name and phone number on the form and just put it in that bucket. That was not some thing anyone else could’ve gotten into other than the person with the key, anyways…. I got a text from a number I didn’t know, but was labeled as a safe number wasn’t a spam number or Potential Spam. So I clicked the link and it took me right to check out link and actually gave me a choice between the iPad Pro and a big smart TV of some sort that we don’t need because we have enough of them so obviously I still picked the iPad Pro and paid five dollars, after I gave my credit card info and paid the five dollars I immediately was taken to a different page that said, in order for my ipad to ship I had to order the most ridiculously horrible watch, called the “smart band - your health steward.” Which was priced at $29 so I payed like an idiot. I didn’t realize that that was not at all right and it didn’t make any sense, I don’t have any clue why I didn’t realize that after I paid for the shipping fee for ipad pro, they were going force me to pay for the watch. Which, by the way, didn’t come with everything it said it would, it’s a piece of crap that you cannot figure out. The app they tell you to download in the manual that you can only find online doesn’t exist, and I had already emailed and emailed over and over.
I had actually already called our families attorney, even though I don’t care about the money didn’t get refunded, but I did get an email confirming both of my orders and then confirming that they had canceled the $29 watch which then showed up two days later. I had asked for the exact same thing for the iPad Pro and I had not heard anything and they still charged for watch, and the shipping for the pro. I’ve also reported them to the Better Business Bureau and other organizations that say they will do something about these criminals.

Desired outcome: I want this horrible “company” held accountable and I want the iPad Pro they promised me.
Fraud
After I fell for the “free” iPad offer and they took an additional 79.95$ I came to this site. Someone posted a # to call and I received half of my money back. No iPad no refund on the 5.95$ s/h and only half of my money. They told me that in the small print I was agreeing to pay 79.95$ for a membership. I was given a confirmation # that I was taken off that membership. It’s a total ripoff and if you’re reading this I’m sorry you fell for it too. The # is [protected] at least you will get half your money back and not be charged anymore from this fraudulent company.😡

Desired outcome: Got 1/2 my money back and was taken off their list.
Amtrak pass
April 6 saw internet ad for an Amtrak pass for a year for $1. Ended up $5.95 taken from my credit card. They wanted to give me $150 free money to purchase cheap products they were pushing. Luckily I did not bite on that offer. A week later a fraudulent charge for over $70 was on my charge transactions so I contacted my credit card company and they credited...
